I hope they keep going but footy's over for this year. Absolutely gutted that Freo didn't get there. Probably more disappointed about this one than when we went out in straight sets after winning the minor premiership in 2015. Can thank the AFL and Sam Mitchell for that one.
Let's talk Priority Picks - West Coast have the same win/loss record as North had when they got their first PP - North have 2x end of first round picks from their last year PP package - North are garbage after 3 years receiving PPs Do North lift the beggars bowl again? Do west coast get a PP package of some sort? Looking at precedence (not that the AFL give a toss about that) they should. Not to mention their second pick last year (spoon) was in the 30s & this year's second pick is being pushed back already thanks to North support.
North are broke, and have huge problems behind the scenes. West Coast are the biggest and most financially powerful club in the land. Hardly comparable.
As much as i like schoey as a coach, i think 4 of the games he coached proved we need an outside voice. We also need to improve our draft hand, barrass looks likely to go already but we need more. Only a handful of players should be considered off the table

A frustrating end to the Fremantle Dockers season, how a perfect dream opportunity can turn into a nightmare in 4 matches. A 10th place finish. We could have been minor premiers, but we're not, top two, no, top 4, no, even top 8, a BIG FAT NO. All the Freo Faithful wanted was the Dockers to go and play finals for its 30th Anniversary but its not happening. What the Dockers need for season 2025 is the Three C's: Consistency: play with a consistency of footy across 23 games of football, Composure: Be cool calm and collected don't panicking under the pressure and Control: Dominate the football game across all four quarters. Next season: I want to see a Premiership, a Minor Premiership, hell if they bring back the pre season/night premiership I want them to win one of those too. Medals: Brownlow Medal: Serong, Brayshaw even Young. Coleman Medal: Amiss or Treacy. Leigh Matthews MVP Trophy, All Australian etc, take the AFL for everything it has to offer. This is no longer a goal, its now an obsession. Fremantle if they want to be successful, they need to play like men possessed. 2025.
I'm an Eagles member, but i agree with you in your assessment of the Dockers. Of course, being from West Coast, i was happy that you didn't make finals, but i sincerely feel quite bad for all those loyal fans who have put up with years of this heartache. You Dockers fans are very faithful to your club and deserve much better.
that’s a classy comment brother 👍. I’m an Eagles man as well, but I have a lot of time for Freo fans… I think some of us Eagles fans need to grow up and evolve a bit to be honest. I mean the lack of compassion by the fringe in our fan base was pretty cold hearted (I know Dockers are not our team… but we could at least show a little spirit) I don’t think I have ever seen more brutal trolling in my life on Facebook as what Freo got yesterday. It was relentless These were 2 I remember from “AFL Memes Offical” that they deleted later because it was so over the top: 1. “2 girls no cup” with a picture of Matthew Pavlich and Nat Fyfe 2. And “this is the only cup Fyfe will ever see” with Fyfey shirtless and with some small cup near the schlong resembling a cricket box Sorry, but that wasn’t banter… but that was taking the piss. I have so much respect for Pav and found that quite repulsive to be honest
West Australians teams have some soul searching to do. Fremantle had the list. WC, like a dirty toilet. No coach wants to go there. Might have to do with the short sighted rabid fans and a poorly run club. Very open to reasons why no coach is interested and players want to leave.
6 weeks ago I agreed 2 First Rounders for Shai Bolton, but after the last 4 rounds my opinion has changed to go an get the 3 best young talent at their respective numbers

They gave Pickett 3 weeks? Moore has been playing poorly and part of that has to do with bad reaction times and making poor decisions. He made a decision which probably didn't make much sense (it was a bit personally reckless). In that situation it surprised me that he did that, although it's not "wrong" that he did it. It evidently surprised Pickett too, and so it was more or less an accident, but one that could have been prevented more by Moore (no pun intended) and not really by Pickett.
Jesus what a state we live in where a club can finish their season in the bottom third of the ladder for the third year in a row. And besides asking questions of the coach, the media gives them no scrutiny. But are the first people to jump on the chokers bandwagon. Future looking bright, might retain 16th spot next year eagles fans, reverting to talking about the past to justify your future.
3rd youngest club and still finish above you on the ladder mate, the problem with west coast supporters is exactly this. You spit on the only team that has made any west Australian proud over the past 3 years in preference of a team that just got drudged by 90+ points? And only has won 10 games across 3 seasons. It’s a shame.

The Eagles sucked 3 years in a row and not as sucky as last year but still sucked and 7 or 8 at least probably made fans etc angry with their suckiness. I had this gut feeling Harley Reid is giving people at West Coast the shits, there was that thing with Simpson at training, as if a 19 year old needs more help getting hard, he's on the front page more in 3 months than Ben Cousins was in 20 years and i just imagine him saying playing Melbourne the 2nd something like don't expect me to carry you guys again this time. Dig around i reckon Reid already wants out and i do hope I'm wrong about this.
We must fight to keep Harley Reid, but it all depends on who the Eagles get as a coach and what they do with the list. Look at Hawthorn. They were atrocious until very recently. They made the change bringing in Sam Mitchell and went hard at transitioning their list. A short time later, look at how good they are now. West Coast can also do it, but we need to bring in a very experienced developmental coach who is good with systems and accountability, then de-list/trade a lot of players who won't be part of our next flag challenge. Same as the Hawks.
Guys! Why are you so soft on Longmuir? Throughout the season and on this show, you both have pointed out coaching fails leading to narrow or disappointing losses - Letting Bont run free is the main one, which was a lesson you could easily apply to the Hogan, JHF, Butters, Sicily scenarios and an overall inability to adapt to real time game trends. Ask yourself this! If Freo miss 2025 finals is that another year wasted? Will the lack of success drive good players away to other clubs?
West Coast need running power. Theyre consistently too tall and get beaten on the spread and transition. They lack ground ball accumine and phsyical competitiveness. Going on recent history im worried they'll go for a player like FOS or someone big instead of power runner like Draper or Smith if available.
I suspect fos will be gone to Richmond or North before we pick. But if he's available i reckon u might be right. Also right about Smith or draper arguably being the better fit for us
