5 days till St. Patrick's Day! ☘️ (still a wee bit behind schedule!)
We had an incredibly beautiful sunny day this week (Tues 3/12/24), a perfect chance to meet up with my friend Sarah to play some tunes in the park. We found a spot with plenty of space and belted out a few tunes, one of which was this jig!
Sarah and I met a few years ago when I was just beginning to go to sessions. She's playing concertina in this video, but she is also a great fiddler with a ton of tune-playing experience, and she also has a background in Irish dance! She is not only incredibly talented but also has the right attitude when it comes to playing tunes, so it's guaranteed fun any time we find ourselves together at a session... Or at a random park on a sunny day! 🌞
There's something about playing music outdoors that's always special. Maybe the instruments are happy to finally get some fresh air so they put out their best sounds? I highly recommend bringing your instrument of choice to a park or even just your back yard, and make some music. You may even draw a crowd!
Special thanks to Sarah for selecting this tune and for joining me in this video!
I'm adding a new tune each day until 3/17/2024. Check out the full playlist here:

Thanks & glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately we didn't have anyone to operate the camera, so it was done using a tripod this time, but still appreciate your acknowledgement!
