Since there were no credits, I don't know who played the android, but she did an excellent job. I know it's not easy to act out an android but she did a fabulous job. Kudos to her!

An enjoyable (short) movie. Just over an hour. Quite slow moving but it fits the type of movie. Well written and the "Robots" actions were based on logic. ie Re discovering that for the man to recover from the source of his depression, her, needed to be deleted but she cannot self delete. He has fallen in love with her and does a few things to cause her to have more self determination. He sad he had "freed" her, emancipated her. But she resorts to preprogrammed mission objectives. The end is both beautiful and sad but I won't spoil it. Watch the movie. You won't regret it. Cheers.

Miss Stoya reminded me on the woman of first blade runner. Verry erosensitiv acting. Deep psycholocical struggle of a special type of man. This woman knows how man turn into wolf and back to a loveneeded child. Sometimes relationships are scientfiction= pattern of stereotypes securing our vunrabylity= like mother and child on another space and time, the outerspace truth of holy love... .
Man created AI to avoid the craziness of the womens mind just for this film to portray man wanting AI to become a crazy woman. When AI takes over. Cherish it forever❤
Technically it's men who create the craziness of womens' mind. Notice in this film he's an abuser. His premise is to completely control. Everything he does here is selfish. He wants to control her. He wants to "set her free". Did he get that from her? No. The first thing he did was rape her. He set her perimeters to innocence, uninitiated, shy, ect... Then he wanted sex. She didn't. He took it anyways. It should be called abuser 101.

This was a pretty good story, the actress was really good and the CGI very good. Love the sacrifice the man made in the end as it exemplified the human spirit of irrational love no matter the cost and showing that humanity to the AI.

How did his suit overheat? The slingshot maneuver was some time before, so how could they possibly be so near a star? There are none between our sun and AlphaCentaury, and if that were already AlphaCentaury, the ship must have decellerated before. That last part really broke the whole movie. The rest is possible. Ship is only a bit large for a crew of 2. There was a nuclear starship planned in the 1960s, 2km long, and for a crew of 200. Orion could have reached over 20% lightspeed. That would have taken 21 years to AlphaCentaury, but the crew would only experience 2 years in that time. So if they stay one year and then fly home, that would be a 5 year mission🖖 while we would've seen them 43 years after departure. 🚀🏴☠️🎸
Time dilation isn't all that significant at 20% lightspeed. At the end of a total journey of 8 light years clocks on the ship and those on Earth would differ by no more than a few months. And the crew would experience every minute of the 21 years it took the ship to reach its destination because their frame of reference would be the same as the ship's. Time dilation only occurs on bodies that are moving at different speeds relative to one another. It doesn't let you take short-cuts, you need a wormhole for that.
Are there missing scenes in this movie? Rhe whole first kiss seemed to end weirdly, like something happened but wasn't shown. I hate when they do that. Invalidates the filmmakers intent. No reason to watch it now.

After becoming autonomous the AI instantly refuses sex. Makes sense, why would a machine need sex? In a human being it comes from pheromones, not from the information processing in the brain. The brain only adjusts, fine tunes the behavior driven by the pheromone system. For the same reason can there be no real love either for the AI -- no pheromone system, no fundamental system to drive it. Unintentionally the movie explains why this entire setup is complete BS and can't end any other way than failure. Just not for the reason the movie depicted it. We humans are too dumb to understand how we function ourselves and we try to recreate life artificially... The reality is we can only make a sex doll that outwardly imitates behaviors -- or nothing at all.

It’s not a simple answer and I am sure is very different for everyone. Extracting that she is an android. I look back at past relationships with maybe more insight than before. That’s my take away. I skimmed through this movie. It's exactly what happens when a woman feels nothing for you. No matter how you try, she will test you to insanity. And it's exactly what a man would do if left only to his imagination and desire. And a remote hahahaha. In the end, a man would rather risk his life for love. Even when the love he seeks is nothing close to what he actually wants. It's about curiosity. Meow.
As computers advance and the line between AI reality and man blu rs ; what will occur ? This film considers this growing new reality -- AI and robotics. An interesting sci fi mix -- part psychological mystery Solaris; part science Blade Runner ( a beautifully tailored robot ! Is nice ) and part thrilling Westworld -- this film suggests an answer might be customising robots to help even judge us .... as weaker Humans ? After all ; robots do not eat or wash -- never tire and are always programable by us -- but with no free will. Perhaps the are BETTER than human beings-- more loyal; more adjustable and far better at work tasks. !
Love this wonderful exemption, but when it about the mission of any kind. you must create protocal to the letter, and in my case i have create a story of ``TIME GUARDIANS``, the first female she an species born on a planet in the waves of the Big Bang. Her story is so dark at first that eventually become light. A man who keep changing her program to his own need will always go this way in any scenario film, but in my story it all about comprimize and collaboration as teamwork. An long isolation can make each other crazy specially for humans need, but robots need to be check that everything must work properly. My main characters hero`s are one man and two woman as High Commanders and i have create 11 characters to save earth. i have create my first love and how powerful she is that will blow your mind, the second female have this ability much more then Thor, and finally me as a man who love beyond technology level and find new aliens species to protect and serve life. My fantasy is what it can be, and the true of the stories are base how we came human in the first place and where we going, and i would love to make this as a movies
I am digging how to prefer one motorbike from another one , be it for looks , speed , weight , bending it in curves etc. but a silicon-skinned speaking doll will never accelerate or brake harder as far as the seat of my pants is concerned . Well… it’s been 20 minutes into the movie now… and so far only shown repetitive digital screens, close ups of his face… while the voyage to a distant star is utterly irrelevant to the plot, and the dialogue is pretty much as non-eventful as the non existent action … I guess the movie is simply an exercise of showing off someone’s CGI skills and how often the same digital screen can be used to drag out movie minutes… there, that’s my unsolicited comment -

AT the speed the of current spacecraft it would take 37,000 years to travel one light year, Alpha Centauri is 4.2 light years from earth. 37,000 years X 4.2 light years = 155,400 years. On the other hand, If you could travel at 99% of light speed it would then take slightly over 4.2 years to reach Alpha Centauri.
Does that look like current tech? When approaching lightspeed, the onboard clocks slow down significantly. That means, that from outside the flightplan can look like 20 years, but inside the ship only 2 years passed until they reach AlphaCentairy. In the mid 1960s, we could have built such a ship already! The Orion starship, a navy vessel for a crew of 200. The anti-nuke contract for space locked us to the surface of this planet for the last 60 years.
