*Fantastic little **Generater.Systems** ! I have a slide in camper on my truck and this ran for at least 14 hours on less than a gallon of fuel mainly running lights and water pump. With the small load it had no problem running in eco mode and was so quiet we had to listen close just to see if it was running.*

Hurricane Delta hit here in South Louisiana... I have run my ipower around the clock for the last 2 days...i am powering 4 LED lamps.....a full size single door fridge....a 32 inch Led TV....a full size laptop and Wi-Fi router..and a xbox 1..and a big box fan.....It runs all this with no problems on ECONOMY MODE! Or has plenty power I'm very happy so far....its quiet and starts easily.

I bought one at Sam's for hurricane Zeta and we were able to power the fridge, a couple fans, and the TV, for a few days. Wonderful little unit.

@@kdubboyblue yes. I was close to it's limits. I had to start up the fridge and let it run a few minutes before adding the TV, then fans. I powered the fridge for a few hours and once it reached temp and cut off, I'd unplug it for a few hours. Repeat. We also powered a coffee pot but the coffee pot had to be ran by itself. Oh, and the lcd tv doesn't draw as much power as you think..

@@6913thejoker1369 Bout 4.5 hours I'd say.. with everything mentioned in my comment running. But I would fill it once it got to one bar and we didn't run it at night. I use a battery powered fan at night to sleep (when the power is out)

@@kdubboyblue Hurricane Ida update for this generator. We ran it for 12 hours per day for a week. Cooling down the fridge (our fridge is small and draws around 400 watts but close to twice that on start up, it gets it's own circuit), running a small 500 watt AC, the TV, and charging multiple batteries on phones and flashlights (we didn't run it at night). I'm not sure how long a tank a gas lasted. But I can say we got 2.5 days out of a five gallon jug of fuel and I went through a few jugs (again, I never let it run out of gas so I'm not exactly sure how long the built in tank will last, and we cut it off at night). One evening it was running a bit rough so I toggled over to the hour meter and it was up to 87 hours. I was supposed to do an oil change around 50 so I cut it off and luckily had some 10w laying around (my truck uses it also) and did an oil change. Started it up after that and she purred like a kitten again. I bought an L5-30 adapter to three standard household outlets to use ALL of the power provided from the generator for this. We had the power meter on the unit at one bar down from max when it was running. Again, staggering the booting procedure of the high wattage items as stated before. I love this generator and will be seeking a higher wattage dual fuel version from the same company. Starts every time, runs great, and was a lifesaver during an extended power outage.

Nice job explaining all. This Unit Is the exact Copy Of the Paxcess 2300/1800 watt inverter. Just an FYI. when you parellel 2 units toghter the output will only be 80%. So it would be 2880 watts running, and 3680 surge. When you start the unit always have the economy mode in the off position. I hope this helps.

I purchased the i Power SUA 2300i from Sams Club. Placed oil in each one, with one starting after three pulls and the other started in one pull. Both ran steady and handled a test load of 900 watts. Did not want to go more since they were being broken in. The manual was easy to follow with detail pictures and text. I researched many competitors but these, hands down were above them in fair price, extras like, digital fuel gauge and power usage meter also the extendable travel handle. Very happy with them today but we'll see after full use down the road. One side note, These have a 3 year warranty and I bought an additional 2 year extended warranty from Sams Club only $39.95. I could find no other product that could warranty that far out . P.S. The company needs to explain in the manual what the digital numbers mean on the info. screen.

FYI: You don't get double the power. According to the company and my own testing, you'll only get about 80% at most. Around 2700 watts when synced together.

My experience with a SC2000 has not been good. I called them and sent an email but no response at all few months ago. I do have an overload alarm with no load and only used the unit for 120 approx.

I love mine...but the fuel gauge stopped working few days ago... I'm technical inclined, so where I can do some troubleshooting?

That is a nice generator with a lot of nice features. The 30 amp RV plug and the pull-out portable wheels and handle is very nice. Not a fan of the round cigarette DC current lighter plug they have a tendency to melt the center out of the mail plug on the cord when I've used them in vehicles on many of occasions. One thing I would have to do is put a little piece of folded up paper sticking out to keep the male cigarette lighter plug in in the female one on the generator to keep it tight. And what's nice about that other DC plug is a tighter connection plugging into the generator. A loose electrical connection in most anything causes heat, melting and possibly a potential fire. I first thought the Honda was just overrated too and with a expensive price tag. But I was wrong and here's why. The difference for instance on the 2000 Honda companion suitcase portable generator. They have about 16.6 through 17 amps the honda 2000 has. And that test was measured with an amp gauge. How they get this is this generator by Honda the 2000 watt is 98 cc's that is the difference and more amps. On the technical side as watts go up amps go down. And that is the difference between starting something and not. And the Honda 2200 watt generator is I'm pretty sure even higher amps than the Honda 2000 and it has a 128 cc engine that is the difference a lot more power down at a lower RPM. To be fair bigger engines burn more fuel that's a given. But most people will not be running them all the time anyway. But more amps mean more starting and running more things. That is the big difference. Most people don't know this. I didn't know this at first either about more amps and the bigger engine. I don't like the Honda price tag though it's very expensive. And parts are very expensive and for add-ons parallel cable, propane conversion and other things. There are a few small portable generators out there that have the bigger engine and more amps that are china made. But I would like to see a I power build 100 cc and 128th CC engine just like the Honda 2000 and 2200 Watt generator and with the same amps. At the same weight and small suitcase portable size. And of course keep the price tag a lot lower than Honda and they will sell. Because the difference is a lot of guys in the RV World try to parallel 2 generators together and cannot run their air conditioner. Usually the only ones that run the RV air conditioner are Yamaha and Honda their rated more on a true amp system. And that's to be fair to everyone a I power is a nice generator it just doesn't have the amps and the bigger motor the Honda has. And actually the Honda beats out the Yamaha the Yamaha has the little engine the 79cc. Now if you're generator is more amps please do a video to show us with the gauge own it. Also if you can build a dual fuel 2000 or 2200 Watt generator like the Sportsman propane and gasoline. My Sportsman 2200 W generator runs 19 hours at half load on a full regular barbecue tank. That's enough to get me through any job out on the road without stopping and filling up or going down the road to get more gasoline. And propane is the cleanest fuel out there. And Propane the motor doesn't come out of tune so the motor is always very dependable and starts no carburetor gasoline problems. And propane doesn't go bad like gasoline no treating the fuel whatsoever. Thanks for the video consider some dual-fuel ai power generators and ones with bigger engines and more amps.

Phil Vu no one downside it's a little hard to start on propane. But I found out an easy way to get it started right away. I keep the gasoline valve on. Cut The Echo idle off. Keep the choke half way in or all the way on. I take the gas lid off and fill the gasoline tank up with propane for about seven to eight seconds and with my hand covering the gas lid with propane filling up the gas tank. And it starts up right away on one or two pulls. Something is wrong if it's cutting off in 5 minutes on Echo idle. And you're running it with no load on Echo idle when it cuts off something's wrong. Is it full of fuel?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, fuel is full. When it's on Eco mode, it runs without cutting off. But when I turn off Eco mode, it only runs for a few minutes and cut off by itself. I tried to put a load on and it does the same thing. Yes, I think there is something wrong with mine.

Mine caught fire after 1 use. Could have burned the deck down . The usb port never worked . Started it up this year smelled burning flame behind control section . Never had any real load in it yet it shorted out . Max load was a mini fridge 60 watts. A few customers stated on Sams website same issue caught fire.

Hi guys, just FYI , picked one up from Sams Club last night for 359. I think now normal is 399 so grab them soon.... getting a second one soon as I can. I used it today for a lot of things from flood lights to a 10 hp shop vac which i ran for a few hours. would NOT start my small air compressor but all other things it did great at.

I just ordered one from princess auto for $700 Canadian. It's being installed in my rv and was wondering how quiet it it. You in the video can clearly be heard over it running and it was between you and the camera so I'll assume if it's tucked away in an rv with the exhaust extended you wouldn't know it was running lol .. Nice.

I have 1 ,but using yamaha engine. I'm using in my sailboat, running, 8000 btu, 40 amps battery charger, fridge, 24 hours for 7 months. Needs to change oil every 100 hours, good quality gas, every 100 hours to check the spark arrestor. I bought already my second one. $499 in costco, 3 yeras warranty.

I bought two of these a after running for 5 hours they stopped producing enough energy to run my 8000 BTU window unit. Both acted the same way , the power output LED lights were completely off and the airconditioner started going off and on but the compressor wasn't coming on. I try with another unit , same size but different brand , but the results were the same. The unit has a lot of bells and whistles but it did not perform as it should. I borrowed a smaller generator with 2200/1200 numbers and it had no problem powering the air unit for over 12 hours . My advice, don't waste your money in anything that A-iPower makes.

A-iPower Corporation My daughter is buying a 25 foot, 14 awg, 5-15PR extension cord at Lowes. One end is a single male end going into the 120v, 5-20R generator receptacle. The other end has 3 female outlets for appliance and other devices. At most, the SUA2300i would supply power for a refrigerator, a work laptop, cable modemmand a big screen tv. My question is: is that extension cord adequate for that type of use?

I have one of these and was surprised it does not have a fuel shut off valve. I like being able to run generators after fuel shut off to drain the carb for long term storage. I thought maybe turning the Start/Run/Stop choke valve close to the "Stop" position, where it can still run would stop fuel flow but it does not. Is there a way to install a fuel shut off valve on these units?

Hello KQ, You are correct - while most of the larger, portable generators have fuel shut off valves, many/most inverters do not. As you may see - the inside is tight and fuel tank is integral to system and an inline fuel valve would be hard to place/access/use. There is an easy work around. First - syphon excess fuel from the tank. Once done, open side panel to locate carb float bowl, which is easily accessible. Locate the drain plug on bottom of bowl, loosen to drain remaining fuel. Once done, make sure the fuel cap air vent is set to off and store unit in as dry location as possible. Hope this helps - A-iPower, Milwaukee

I just acquired the one from Costco with Yamaha engine the SUA2300i: Can you tell if there is any difference in these units besides de color and the Yamaha name? Also, I have been looking at many web sites for spare parts and can't find any and that concerns me a little.

I believe the blue unit, SC version is Yamaha, not the red SUA version.

Hola yo tengo uno y la verdad hay días que funciona muy bien y derrepente se apaga es raro pero mea pasado y lo que he notado es que se ahoga el cargorador y tiene que expulsar la gasolina debes en cuando as eso es muy fácil y lo que quiero pensar es que la bujía es de mala calidad yo la cambiaré para ver si ese problema deja de pasar ya que también cuesta el encenderlo

I would like to know whether the output of the subject generator is a pure sine wave or it is a PWM output. I wonder why this info is not mentioned anywhere which leads me to think it is a PWM as if it were Sine Wave it would be advertised everywhere. I need to get it as backup power for my home, do you think it is OK to use it on electric/electronic appliances? I read somewhere it damages microwave ovens!

Fact of The Matter, any generator that has a rotor with permanent magnets rotating past a stator with copper coils and the proper rectification circuitry will absolutely have a pure sine wave voltage signal. This generator, I believe, is listed as producing less than 3% distortion. "Modified Sine Wave" (stair-stepped approximated sine wave, read: noisy) didn't present itself on the scene of power generation until solid state (non-moving) electronics inverters got involved. You can now buy pure sine wave inverters, but the cost is substantially more.

Good Morning Craig, Sorry for the delay getting back in touch - for some reason or another, YT notifications has been spotty and we are not being given message we have comments. RE: Digital display - yes, works fine. My error that I did not focus on the user center more closely as I was more concerned with start/sound on this vid. As for the readout itself - It was outside in bright sunlight so same as a dashboard on a car or ATV, depending on angle / intensity - it can affect readability which is same as any inverter gen set offering this digital readout. I plan to do follow-up vid and will show digital readout more closely along with powering some of my tools. Joe A-iPower, Milwaukee

Only downside with all the newer 2300/2200 from all the companies is there deleting some features on all of them. like extra 110 plug/charging clips for batteries but there making them easier to drain fuel/run it out and putting digital fuel gauges and some have apps like ryobi And i do own a Honda EX 3500 and its built like a beast but you pay for quality.

Hello Dunno, Just a quick point on your observation on removal of the 110 plug / charging alligator clips for batteries. These were removed from many/most manufacturers due to the risk of overcharging battery which can turn in to a safety concern. RE: Our SUA2300i - compare its features / wattage / price vs. competitors. We not offer a quality product ( we own our own factory that makes this unit - where most outsource) but our content for the dollar is excellent. Or course this is my opinion but do comparison. For anyone watching. It's a good idea to fire these up after filling with oil, then running it to warm it up, then running it at 50% load for 1 hour, then change oil and repeat one more time then in 3rd fill you're good to use it. Full break in.

Hola Alexis, Buena pregunta, tienes razón. Los 1800 vatios equivalen a los vatios de funcionamiento sostenido que manejará esta unidad. Con el SUA2300i, puede ejecutar artículos de forma segura en total 1800 vatios. Los 2300 vatios = los vatios de arranque máximos que manejará esta unidad. Al igual que con todos los grupos electrógenos, esta clasificación es lo que la unidad puede manejar cuando un electrodoméstico requiere energía de "sobretensión". La sobretensión es un pico en la demanda de energía cuando se enciende un compresor o motor eléctrico. La potencia nominal de 2300 vatios se considera potencia inicial o de sobrevoltaje, donde puede manejar una demanda temporal y breve de potencia de hasta 2300 vatios. Cuando tiene vatios limitados desde su generador, siempre sugiero escalonar o retrasar el arranque de los elementos para evitar sobrecargar el generador. One thing I think you are grossly overlooking is the projected life of the generator. Both the AI power 2000 & 2300 watt inverters advertise a 79 cc engine. These things rev big time to get rated output. The Honda 2000 watt has 25% More engine displacement & the Honda 2200i has 50% more engine displacement than the AI's. Which inverter do you think is going to outlast the other? Not a difficult decision.

Hello Modder, The clear hose that routes next to the oil filler neck is coming form the carb. This hose allows user to drain most of the fuel from the carb. Loosen the drain screw found on side of the carb float and then collect fuel via that clear hose - the extra length allows user to route open end to a container to collect overflow of fuel. However, I often want to assure the float is fully evacuated of fuel (since we have ethanol fuel in our area which attracts moisture) and will loosen the nut at bottom of float bowl in addition to using drain screw and hose. No not a 13,500 or 15,000 btu ac most 79 cc engines won't run RV roof top ac's. The 2200 Honda inverter generator will I think by it's self but will for sure will run them with micro air easy start installed will run these AC's

Hello Jackson, It certainly can but depends on many items. First is the surge power required of your refridge - this is the amount of power required to start compressor. Running power is then the power needed to maintain. You would need to review your data plate on your unit or manual for the surge amps and running amps. Keep in mind - to determine the amps the SUA2300i will handle - take its surge power of 2300 watts / 120v = 19A. This is the amount of power this unit will allow to assist in starting an electric motor. Inverter units such as this may only handle a spike in demand for a few seconds. The running watts for this unit s 1800 Watts / 120V or 15A of sustained running power. Hope this helps - Joe A-iPower

In case your all wondering, this unit has a Yamaha engine. Ai power did not yet have the Yamaha approval and licensing to put a Yamaha logo on the unit at time of manufacturing and production. The red Ai 2000 unit does not have the Yamaha engine and the blue Ai 2000 watt inverter generator has a Yamaha engine same as engine in the 2300 watt Ai power

Good Morning R&R, Actually - our SUA2300i does not have a Yamaha engine. You are correct - our SC2000i does have a Yamaha engine. In addition, our SUA2000i, just as our SUA2300i, is also not Yamaha powered. Both these units features similar very similar, 4 cycle, OHV engines to the Yamaha. No need to ground unless you are connecting it into a house grid or using Surge Guard. All of these have floating natural.

A-iPower Corporation My grown daughter and I are each looking to buy the SUA2300i from Sam's Club. Unlike other inverter generators, roughly 2300 watts and under, why has your company elected to supply only one 110/120v outlet? I would have thought two receptacles would be better.. As an alternative, would it be safe to run one 10 or 12 awg extension cord with a 3 outlet, female end? I would run extension cords from there, one going to say, my refrigerator, the other going to my tv, floor lamp, pc and monitor and cable modem. This would be in the home during unscheduled blackouts. Thank you in advance.

Hello Vinyl, Good questions - 1. Why only 1, 120v household outlet? We elected to add more flexibility to our outlets on the control panel. Inverters are small and while it appears we could have added a duplex outlet, know that behind the panel, room is very tight. Instead, we know many people use these units for RVs so we opted to add the L5-30R outlet, USB for all your smart devices and a multi-port which is also USB. Compare the offerings to a say an EU2000i which has only a 120v duplex but not other outlets mentioned above. It's a balance of space vs. flexibility. We went with flexibility. 2. For your use of a 12 gauge extension cord - yes, this is certainly an option. A SUA2300i can safely/continually run 15 amps (1800 running watts/120v) and a 12 AWG s rated at about 16 amps of constant load. So yes, this is a good option to give you that extra 120V outlet/s. 3. RE: Running certain electrical - it depends. Know that many electrical devices have surge watts (a small peak demand in power to start the motor) which you must add up together with flipping a switch or turning on a TV. The biggest variable is the refrigerator which you can look up with its manufacturer. Just keep that in mind. Hope this helps, Cheers, Joe A-iPower - Milwaukee

The converter put the icing of the cake. We live in an area of that can have high winds and precipitation. As the generator is being operated outside the residence, any suggestions on how to cover it from rain and wind? Another question: To assure effective air flow, how much space should be allowed around the generator? Thank you in advance.

RE: Protecting your new units from the elements: We do gets lots of people asking about this. Our reposes is keep the generator as far away as you can from an open vents or windows. Never run in a garage even if door is open. I'd create a little lean-to roof against an out building or similar. Make sure unit is placed on a solid surface (no grass or similar) as you are correct, inhibiting airflow will affect performance. As for an exact distance - I hesitate giving one not knowing about the surroundings your units will be used in. RE: Wheels - are they robust / durable? Yes and yes. When we tested this unit and its built in mobility kit - one of the things we wanted to make sure we had were wheels that are solid and would not give the impression or feeling of being fragile. We know the unit would be dragged through grass, gravel and other rough surfaces so they had to be better than say wheels found on a vacuum cleaner. They are a semi-hard wheel but offer a rubbery grip. The front pads are also well designed and large to help keep still when running. This goes for the handle too. One more question. I already have a Honda EU3000 and just bought this A-I power 2300. The parallel cables that come with it also fit my Honda. Can I run these two generators in parallel. It would be great because neither can power my A/C alone. Thanks again

Thank you Joe. I haven’t tried yet. I didn’t know if I could damage anything and didn’t want to chance it until I heard back from you. I appreciate you answering all my questions. So far I really like the generator and look forward to using it on my family’s furniture camping trips. I hate to be the guy with 100 questions but one more. The 2300 is louder then I expected it would be. It’s definitely louder then my Honda. Is the 2000 any quieter.

The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

Moshe Obadiah I suggest taking you that gen back to Sam's Club for an exchange, if you have not already. As there is no perfect with anything mechanical, it just may be a bad unit " out the box" so to speak I've had mine for two years and it has worked well for me, during black outs.

Nice generator but I will stay with my Honda EU2000is. I have two and they have given me 100% flawless performance for over 17 years. They have never let me down and I know that the Honda quality will keep them running for another 17 years. Why buy a Johnny come lately brand that know one has heard of when you can buy a Honda with the quality that Honda is known for.

Purrs like a kitten on motorcycle racing oil. 12v dc however was at 14.5 volts and will cook your batteries:(. Easy solution run through a solar controller (palm face). Lucky I caught that. No it can not handle an air conditioner running at 600 watts. You would think capacitor tech would have evolved to handle small ac units, makes no sense to buy more wattage than you will use, it is what it is. Running a higher wattage inverter off a battery bank and let this puppy keep them charged will be just as expensive up front, but in the long run save on gas . It gets 10-20% louder under a load, but not screaming like a lawn mower. I probably should have got the 3500 watt Champion and built a rockwool baffle box for it instead. Shrug. Not a big deal. The fuel gage is my favorite feature. Easiest starting motor I have ever bought. Easy pull about 24".

Pure synthetic 10w-30 (9.8 Oz.), add Lucas Oil synthetic oil additive (3 Oz.) for a total of 12.8 Oz. Add a neodymium magnetic dipstick oil plug to catch any iron particulate. I broke in for about 10-11 hour under about half load in Eco Mode, then did an oil change. Runs Like a Top!!!
