I.e.: if the media didn't tell them to watch, they wouldn't care (as when Clark lost to Reese in 2023, and Reese's fame; NIL; Social media, etc., Blew Up, while Clarks basically stayed the same didn't change). That was the natural organic process after the 2023 NCAA's. What we've seen, at the start of the season with CC, has been artificial, and they try as hard as they can to ignore the bad, and accentuate the "good", no matter how pedestrian. It's all good, though.

What these Aces players and coach failed to do is appreciate the FANS that showed up for this game in massive amounts. They acted like 20,000 fans were no big deal! It is a big deal, and they should appreciate it more. No wonder Caitlin Clark is a fan favorite she shows time after time in a genuine way how much she appreciates their support.

Clearly, Aja Wilson is that girl, currently. It does not mean that CC will not become " one " of the best to play. Also, respect and love is earned it's not given. CC and all other rookies came into their house not the other way around. CC should be exhibiting gratitude, alongside all the rookies, to those who pioneered the sport which she has yet to do, convincingly! Again, love and respect are earned. No one owes CC anything. She's paid to play in a competitive sport that is competitive on every level. She has exacerbated expectations that "she" has to meet. That's it, that's all.

I FULLY agree with you but you know they will not. MOST if not ALL the drama is fueled by the media. I wish people on a whole would just stop buying into it and leave these young ladies to do their WORK and appreciate them for just that.

How so? They had to move it to a larger arena to facilitate FEVER FANS and some new Aces fans but KP not entirely wrong in saying that they played in 'sold out' games before irrespective of how smaller their home stadium is. The Aces management team and the WNBA on a whole are the ones who have been doing poor marketing of their product. If you have a team such as the ACES who are clearly the best team in the league with the results to show and who has on its roster the best player in the league along with ALL STAR players then you should be trying to get more people to see the game even if it means giving out some free tickets. I am sure it would have brought more eyes to the team and the league just as it is happening now and more people would have seen and recognize that there is a lot of amazing talent in the WNBA. I am not surprised that many people who started watching the WNBA because of Caitlin and or Angel are now watching because of Aja and others and that is because more eyes are on the league. It is just sad that it took this long for the WNBA to receive the kind of recognition that the talent in it deserves.
