Defense is so much more than stocks. Defense is about the finer details. Reading Player habits, reading the opponent offensive sets, cutting off the drives by covering the gaps, forcing/watching where/when an opponent picks up their dribble, understanding the shot clock, where you double on the court, the backside rotations… honestly blocks are the last line of defense because perimeter defense was usually best to get to the rim. The beauty of basketball is in the finer details.

I found the interview to be very engaging and informative. I particularly appreciated the way the coach listened attentively to A'ja's responses, as if she was genuinely interested in learning more about her thought process. Also, the trust coach has with ber team, to let them figure it out, duribg adversity, is impressive. Question: is KB not 100 percent, or are they trying to figure out where she fits into the rotation?
