Wait so you are telling me that a team that has won back to back championships the last two years, comprised of Olympic gold medalists including the MVP of the league is better than the worst WNBA team that has had #1 draft picks the last 2 years? Makes sense.
@ThePitbullOreo stop the lies it's not just a fan vote, players, coaches and associated press also have a say. And Kelsey Mitchell is their go to player anyway 😂
The Fever did fight all game (and kept it close as a result), but were no match for the Aces. I suspect the Fever, and particularly CC, found last night's game against the Aces very instructive. Now let's see in Friday's rematch if the Fever can demonstrate that they learned from the yesterday's game.
I disagree, stats on that game show that CC had her worst shooting performance cause she averages way higher but was shooting for shit! Having an off game happens but if she would’ve shot as good as she normally does, it would’ve been theirs to win. Hopefully as you said, they study the game footage and are ready to win tomorrow!
@@HalfB They all had horrible shooting all of them both teams and we are talking seasoned professionals. No way Aces playing Fever should have such a low score come on. I am going to go compare draft dates and I think Fever is very very new compared to Aces. Sorry some of the hits were more than just a shove and seen a few in very visible pain and played on.
It's my impression that they should go more for periphery shots since A'ja is so dominates in the paint and at the post. Course that means somebody's got to hit the 3.
Look how Wilson is hugging Boston in that second clip. They let some of the marquis players like her and Alyssa Thomas get away with anything they want out there. They were holding, grabbing and shoving Clark all night too with no calls, when she had the ball they were flopping and pretending to fall down just like they were coached.
@@stevehardwick7285 the WNBA needs to fine players for flopping. Chelsea Gray flopped so fucking hard against Caitlin I thought she had an epileptic seizure Lately it’s been the Fever vs the refs + other team.
I felt like Sides was using this game to experiment with lineups and to give other players time on the court. Personally, in the 1st half it felt like Sides wasn’t trying to win but use this game like it was a preseason game.
Anyone that know anything about organized ball knows you have good games and bad ones. It's about adjustments. The Fever didn't put enough points on the board. Caitlin will bounce back. Smith and Boston just needed to p/u Aja a little sooner instead of letting her take the free throw line jumpers which were money every time.
This was a great demonstration of A'ja's all-around dominance, even on an off-night shooting. They may have found a book on Clark. Should be interesting to see if it was a one off or if other teams can duplicate it.
@TheGreatness-gg1jx Yah the book on Clark is grab, pull, push, harass, foul, even undercut & cheapshot trying to cause deliberate injury to Clark (Jackie Young in last night's game) up and down the floor non stop until refs just swallow their whistles which they pretty much seem to have done now due to political correctness pressure. Meanwhile they call every single little thing Clark does no matter how minor it is. It's really affecting Clark's poise as it would undoubtedly affect anyone. She's now battling not only her opponent on the floor, but the referees and essentially the entire league at this point.
Clark's shot was off all night long . She wasn't even knocking down open shots . The grabbing and hacking really got to her , then when she pushes the defenders arm away from grabbing her, she got called for the foul . And as usual, A'ja doesn't get called for fouls and gets fouls when her defender doesn't even touch her . Clark had open teammates to pass to, but they kept missing their open shots as well. Hopefully Indiana is saving their defensive plans for the playoffs cause every game against good teams, they leave the 3 open and get burned .
I think the take in the video is correct and shows a defensive strategy for the Aces that works. I am wondering if the Fever can counter it in such a short time, one practice day? Even though the Fever are a young team they are definitely pros so possibly they can. ??? We'll see Friday night.
THE BEST PLAYER IN THAT LEAGUE... AJA WILSON.....THERE IS no coaching for her, you have to coach around her .she will destroy your team you give her any daylight
Hmmm maul CC, let Aja (the player, not the song) shoot uncontested shots from the FT line all night long, and never let your cherry picking 3 pt shooters miss. GREAT STRATEGY. Oh, and be sure Sides sends in the 3rd string. Lastly never ever ever let the refs call a foul on the defender of CC, even if they nearly chop her head off. What a great team LVA is!!!!
@distrongker RIght the bench issue shows up very clearly in box scores where stats are grouped for starters and bench on both teams. The performance in points for the Aces bench compared to Fever washed all other issues in the game regarding scoring of the starters on both sides. The video pointed out some great things of the Aces defense and important points. But the points racked up by the Aces bench make the game for the Aces.
Sides also played Wallace and Samuelson and Dante's in certain stretches intentionally to lose this game. Anyone who watches fever games knows besides is not only a bad coach but last night was horrible the way she pulled Caitlin early in the first quarter for no reason
@@cathygregory3443 Did she ever say why? Her footwork wasn't there on a number of shots. Did she get blocked early? Brett Farve used to have this thing, where if he got sacked especially hard in the first quarter. he would throw like 5 interceptions during the rest of the game.
@madflower8723 She implied or maybe stated she needed rest, which could cover a lot of things. She has looked wan actually since not long after the Sky game. I can't remember about a block, am planning on rewatching on League Pass. That would be interesting to watch for. I've definitely noticed that her making a basket recharges her almost every time.
@@cathygregory3443 I was worried about it, when Sides was playing her 40-45 minutes a game, that is actually awful coaching. It is a lot of games in a row, and a coach should know NOT to do that especially against bad teams like the Spark or Wings. But she might have allergies or is sick with something. that time of month maybe. Sliding 'leak protection' would affect play because it would absolutely make one self-conscious and worried about it all game and cause a trip to the lockerroom. The other thing to look for is where her feet are shooting. I noticed she took a 3 in the 4th and her feet weren't in the right position on kind of a fade away shot. Or at least they weren't like they were when she had fresh legs after break and she was making similar shots. But I believe BEFORE the break, she her feet were also out of position like that on some shots.
A’ja was 8/28 relax coach this was the game they should have won Clark couldn’t hit a shot to save her life and Friday neither of these players are going to miss this much again
A’ja had a really bad game offensively. If Fever didn’t also have a bad offensive game they would have won fairly easily. But that’s how it goes sometimes. Everyone’s shot was off it seems.
The fact that she shot that many times and Christy said was playing Samuelson and that other chick along with the Dante's in running the lineup she was.. If you watch fever basketball you know damn well the start of that game was great and the minute they subbed in players that don't run and haven't played all year they went down hill
That is results based analysis. It wasn't because of Aja that the Fever lost it was because Caitlin and other Fever players except Kelsey had a bad shooting day. On another day Caitlin could have made the shots shown in the video. Aja shoot well either except for her long 2 pointers.
So elite defense had nothing to do with it? Hmmmm. Clark has been "contained" in several games this week. Aside from the Aces game, Jordan Canada's defense in the Dream game had Clark completely off kilter the entire first half, resulting in a bunch of turnovers. Overtime, other teams are figuring out how to defend her. It's a natural progression of adjustment by opponents, to some degree.
I guess the Fever get a chance for payback tomorrow against the Aces. Who is the idiot who thought scheduling the same team twice in 3 days was a good idea?
They started doing that in both the WNBA and the NBA a few years ago to reduce travel and fatigue due to travel/time zone changes, etc. So, teams sometimes play a team twice in the same city so they get more rest in between. This changed in large part due to the 2020 bubble and players enjoying not having to travel as much. So, the general idea is that players get more rest and can focus on the games and fans see better quality play.
Wilson didn't dominate Clark. They hardly crossed paths. Clark was foolish to not pull up and shoot, partly because she was cold. She dominated AB, Smith, and Temmie. Wilson was never charged with a foul. A little focus on that aspect?
Did you even watch this video? A'ja's impact was blocking shots and interfering with shots that were rushed or off balance because of her imposing presence. You didn't see any fouls by A'ja in this video. Clark attempted 10 3's. That's not "hesitating" to shoot.
Don’t care about no one else I do t even watch wnba unless Clark plays I’m only watching this cause of Clark even if she got dominated! Aja Wilson whoooooo? Don’t care
Your coverage is technically perfect, really gives perspective to new WNBA fans. Reiterating my comment from the last game, the Aces are the Champions of the WNBA "playing the right way." Every WNBA team has at least 3 really versatile players, some have 4, and a handful have 5. As Kelsey said in postgame, Vegas has 5 players who can play all positions. This means on most plays where the 5th Fever offensive player "wanders" passively, Aja could stagger paint and free throw line and do the damage you describe. Fever add one versatile player next year and this advantage disappears.
I feel like since CC is such a generational talent, they expect her to perform against the quite literal GOAT while also forgetting CC is quite literally a rookie.
@@Pharaohx115 they showed who are the dirty players and flop queens Chelsea Gray flop against Caitlin was FIFA-level, looked like a ghost kicked her in the face Meanwhile they push, elbow, arm hook, and hack without ever getting called for it
CC 1 for 10 on 3s = 10%! 27% from the field! All open shots! A'ja and the aces would have been cooked had Clark been near her average. Not to mention all the missed shots from every single team member. The Fever left 30 points on the Aces defense.😮
CC needs two options to keep people guessing. She was shut down when she took it to the basket. And a lot of her "open" shots were either off her rhythym, or she was tired and harassed from tight defense.
@@larrym2434 Several if not most of CC's shots are open. Nothing she hasn't hit in colkege. Greated she gas to creat her own shots due to slopy screens or no designed plays for her but missing layups??
I L❤VE HOW HE CALL COACH SIDES favorite PLAYER!!! THE NONE SHOTER!!! WHY IN THE HELL THE COACH KEEP PUTTING KATIE LOU IN THE GAME??? Please Release Her next YEAR!!!!
The fever team needs to do a lot of lay up drills if the rest of the team make their lay ups cc could have 20 assist every game fagbenle aliyah Boston none of them can buy a lay up
Pretty much any competent coach could have won this game. All you did was have to get Boston to move FURTHER from CC which puts A'ja in the dead zone where she has to choose who to defend. Boston did move further out, but then wasn't taking the shot. As Awful Coach pointed out, she needed to take the longer range shots to do that, but that is up to Sides to get her to do that and encourage it. Just a small in game adjustment of "boston shoot the f'ing rock you're wide open". Screaming at the TV doesn't help. The two guard offense was probably perfected by the Pistons with Isiah and Dumars, but it was really Laimbeer that opened up the lane with his 3pt shot. He was doing the pick and pop 30 years before it was popular. The reason, beyond Bill was the ultimate team player, and fanatical about finding ways to adjust his game to be useful on the floor, it cleared the lane out. Bill's defender either had to defend Laimbeer and let Isiah go, or defend Isiah and leave Laimbeer wide open. Laimbeer was around 35% from 3 their championship years but the effective FG% when adjusted for 3pt vs 2pt brings it up to around 50%, which is what Shaq did in the post and actually better then shaq if you take away dunks. :)
I was thinking how unimpressed I was with A'Ja after seeing her play for the first time. She did nothing but shoot wide open shots from the same spot. AB shut her down on the inside and she rarely moved on offence
I wouldn't be surprised if A'ja won offensive, defensive and mvp this year. You appear to be guilty of pettiness like a lot of wnba players. Thus far, A'ja has proven to be the best all around player. She has consistently been the difference maker. CC is just a rookie. And the best one, I believe in wnba history (as far as stats). It is possible she will surpass A'ja in the not too distant future. Right now, CC surpasses A'ja in popularity.
@@user-xn7tq1qh5r I wouldn't call shooting like 35% from the field off of 20-something shots dominant.. I wouldn't even call it good just the better team won. More like the better Coach won

Really nice breakdown. The Aces have done their homework and have the Fever's number. The Fever need to keep expanding their half-court offense if they want to progress further.
@@rodneyd76 Oh yes the need defense too. They also need to keep expanding offense. The tough work of basketball is "run a half court, play tough defense".
😮 Don't anyone Forget: CC was just off shooting and so we're others! This could have Easily been a Fever Win! But don't forget who the Refs favored! 😳 Hard to bet a Stacked Deck, even with the Refs involved, just a few baskets was needed! The Fever though they lost, can easily beat the Asses oops Aces, we'll see it Friday? 😊
So when the Fever loses to a higher ranked team (all season), it's the refs fault. So, what is it with all the wins the Fever had since the Olympic break? The refs were fine in all those games, but bad in the losses. Try and make that make sense.
@MH-lk8md This game absolutely reeked of being fixed. The corrupt Vegas sports betting moguls made an absolute killing betting against Clark and the Fever because they knew it was going to be a bloodbath and the refs were instructed to let it happen.
In the video above, you don't see A'ja doing any hacking. She blocked shots and she altered and rushed shots and she did that sometimes without even being close to the shooter. Clark gets away with 2 or 3 push-offs every game.
Hard defense? Just about every defensive stop shown in this video was all about footwork and timing. Timing of blocking shots and altering shots and footwork recovering between two plays. There was not a single "hard defense" in terms of physicality shown. And, Boston is just as physical in the paint. Her swinging elbow in the Dream game took Allisha Gray completely out of the game for the night.
@@jupiter9881 Clearly I am commenting what others see (both Refs and CC-jealousy showing themselves when needed), then you comment "you can't prove that" and try to show the opposite is happening, but ultimately Silverstein and the Rat Pack are winning over this gaslighting.
We don’t mind it. Confirms what we already know, Katie Lou sucks. The Aces game plan for CC leaves a massive hole which is an open player for 3, but Katie averages 0.6 pts per game with 12 minutes average played. What do you do 🤷♂️
@@Arcadianx98 Well, Lexie was getting her minutes, and she scored some points, until she got in foul trouble due to the impossible task of trying to guard A'ja. So, basically it goes back to (1) A'ja is great, and (2) the Fever doesn't have deep enough talent to take down a top team when the playoffs come and its best out of 3 or best out of 5.
So you are telling us that 6-5 forward/center is guarding a 5-11 guard? Didn't know it was a 1-on-1 game between them. This is a ridiculous statement. A'ja Wilson was 11 of 28 from the floor. You showed every shot she made. Now, show all the bunnies she missed. Wilson was awful offensively last night. The person she is guarding is going to the corner. Wilson is guarding Nalyssa Smith most of the game! Of course she will play off her. Heck, she can play off Aliyah Boston if she drops to the corner. You know who she is not guarding in pick and roll? It's Boston and Boston failed to roll. She just popped. If Boston rolls, she is getting layups and the one block on Boston from behind was a foul that wasn't called. Disappointed in this one. She is guarding SMITH most the game! That's COACHING! So she is literally playing a zone against everyone since she is put on a useless waste of space in Smith. You know how you return the favor on this one if you are Indiana???? RUN FOUR GUARDS! She then HAS to be involved in the pick and roll action - Indiana would be sprinting up and down the floor. Run pick and roll action with guards. Put Boston in the block. Drive and drop off. Wilson won't be able to stop the drop off without fouling. There are so many things that can be done to counter this - but Christie Sides is a utter buffoon. And she not automatic ??? She was 11 of 28 as I said before! She looked like Angel Reese shooting layups last night. She is a 52 percent shooter from the field. Last night, 39.1 percent. Surely wasn't automatic.
Wilson won't be able to stop the drop off without fouling. "" You're making the assumption that Wilson would actually get called on it....she wouldn't.
You missed the point of the video. Their strategy was for A'ja to affect Clark on help defense by letting her get by the perimeter defender. So, year, she DID guard Clark on those drives. Every single time.
@@Idklemmesee she blocked but she also made cc think twice rather passing it back out or doing floaters and missing so I get dude take yes Aja defense did make a difference
A'ja just a stat padder like Reese. That is why the Sky is maybe the worst team in the league and why the Aces are a huge disappointment this year. A'ja shot the ball 28 times last night and only made 11 of them. The team just feeds her the ball, gets out of the way, and watches her shoot. Not fun to watch.
She averages only 19 shots a game. A perfectly reasonable number and percentage of the team shots She rebounds well. Weird how players that someone does "not" like are stat padders. The last game of the Sky vs. Fever, Reese played the exact same # of minutes as Clark; but people said Reese was stat padding for playing those minutes, when Clark also played those minutes despite a big lead. The Aces record is due to two things: Gray was absent a good portion of those games with losses and 4 players being in the Olympics lead to some fatigue while teams like the Fever had everyone resting for 3 weeks. I don't understand why people point out the Sky being the worst team. They are in the first year of a "major rebuild". They are supposed to be bad. They are beginning the phase that the Fever had which resulted in the Fever getting four top two picks. The Sky are the only team that played two rookies as starters all season. They are developing the rookies. They are not the worst team because of Reese. They are near the bottom because they parted ways with all their top stars the last few years to "rebuild".
So Clark can counter by shooting some pull up midranges. Also, why are defenders driving into A'ja? The coaching of the Fever needs to vary their schemes.
You’re comparing a WNBA player with 6 years in the league almost guaranteed to win MVP to a first year rookie? I really believe that’s a compliment for Caitlin.
Aja got draft as number 1 in 2018 season and Kelsey Mitchell got into 2nd pick so they got 7 years in the league. Aja game and Stuart game are NOT exciting to watch so the viewership and game attendance are staying at where they are with a slow growth....She did not pass out to create assist but she got 2 assists for last night....With their height then they should be dunking the ball like Candace Parker or Brittney and they don't .. so do not say they are Real Athletics. NOT a draw with MORE eyeballs to the game.... $250K MAX Cap... Wait for the next CBA with media deal... Maybe going up to 400K or 500K and keep going UP with salary cap as well.
Super fans exaggerate that. It's getting old and not really accurate. Plenty of players get fouled a lot without calls. Ask any guard that drives in a lot about that. Take Rhyne Howard for example. She gets whacked a lot too. And, the other thing that is getting old is complaining about physicality as if the Fever aren't physical. Dream fans did not complain when Boston swung her elbow hard into Allisha Gray's head, knocking Gray out of the game for the night. If that had happened to Clark, we'd hear a ton of complaining from Fever fans about hate, jealousy, etc. It's silly. Games are physical across the board. It's competitive pro basketball.
Yes the Refs were awful in the Fever wins. There is No Equivalence here. In normal circumstances bad calls are made everywhere every game. Caitlin has been Deliberately Abused by the League, by Refs allowing blatant Fouling unlike anyone else in the League. And By her own team, GM, Coach undermining her ect. If Any player in any sport was being deliberately mistreated a regular decent fan should call it out for being wrong. Not do propaganda to dismiss it. This League is Sick. People know what the rules are. Subjective calls and mistakes though aren’t enough to cover this All Year.
Have the Talent, but the House Always Wins... especially with them Aces to troll yall like HAHAAAA... oh yes best believe this game was the ultimate VEGAS BAIT for NEWBIES...
The difference is years of experience. Clark is in her 1st year, Boston her 2nd, and Lexie and Smith are very young. There is a difference between young talent and experienced talent in their prime.
Caitlin Clark is 2024 ROTY & 2024 MVP! MVP = MOST VALUABLE PLAYER NOT BEST but can be. Caitlin leads the league in TOTAL POINTS PRODUCED, which is the BEST metric that INDICATES the VALUE of a player to her TEAM. SINCE MID-JUNE, Caitlin & the Fever have been RANKED #1 OFFENSIVE team. Also, in stats for best player, which can be extended to MVP, is there any way to record the amount of blitzing Caitlin has had to endure this season, which also happens to be her ROOKIE season? How much Caitlin has grown in only 4 months, her ROOKIE season in the wnba, is nothing short of AMAZING. What is an even bigger WONDER is how much, through Caitlin's influence, the Fever Team has IMPROVED! One more thing to consider for MVP, why is Caitlin #1 on the scouting reports and NOT A'ja? Hmmmmm Caitlin Clark is 2024 ROTY & 2024 MVP.
A'ja is that good and has pro experience. Saw her dominate at South Carolina. Catlin is the best coming out of college just a A'ja was back at couple years. Man wouldn't I love to see the two of them on the same team and throw in Boston. Three on five would at least give the other team a slim chance of winning.
I’m a be honest .. this is why I say Aja Wilson effect the games on both ends like I never seen before she effect the game on both ends like cc don’t. On defense you can see they was baiting cc to drive and Aja always make cc or any other player second guess themselves.. Aja the best defender in the league and on offense yeah she don’t get a lot of assists but she do make the right play making her teammates better I just don’t see cc effecting the game like Aja does specially on both ends
There’s 4 Olympians and a coach every referee is scared of. Then there’s the fever that have one of the worst benches in the WNBA . And a very inexperienced coach. This game was more of the same.
@@MommaC214 Yeah, it's an accomplishment that the game was even competitive. Considering the Aces have 4 Olympians, makes you wonder how they manage to only have the 4th best record in the league.
Are you not nuts? Wilson's shot 11 for 28 which is pathetic for a big. And defensively she got away with like 30 fouls she ended the game with no fouls. As the zebras are on the vegas payroll this Dirty and questionable franchise in vegas and this dirty and questionable league call the w. Lol. Did Wilson out play Clark? Absolutely. But Wilson was not for Anchorage and last night she was even worse. Yes they did. And I suspect someone made alot of money betting against the Fever knowing the FIX would be in. Which is also why I don't bet on sports, ever.
They sure did. And I suspect someone made a boatload of cash betting against them as the FIX was in. Which incidentally is why I don't ever bet on sports results.
bro this is called awful coaching can you at least call out the fact that christie sides is lost using lineups that she realized dont work 20 games ago
A'ja Wilson's "domination" was (1) set a screen, (2) roll to the free throw line, (3) catch ball, (4) hit wide open jumper from the free throw line. Oh yeah, and miss 6 layups. 😂
The problem is when you play an elite team that is making baskets at a higher percentage, you don't get as many defensive boards that let you play fast. So, less fast break possessions. She has to prepare the team for half court offense more due to facing more elite teams in the playoffs.
Maybe it’s the “couch coach” in me, but you always guard your man “while” keeping your eyes as to where the ball is instead of going toward the ball in play leaving the person you’re guarding. It’s clear no one is reading the scouting reports on players if that’s even a thing in the WNBA.
Clark had an off not, and if they are going to have a playoffs run, she and Mitchell have to BOTH be on. This game showed me that Fever is in the same field as Aces, and can definitely make a competitive series between the two.
The lose, Clark off, others off especially the bench & etc were all offset buy some fantastic play by the Fever against a monster team. The Fever showed they have upped their game in this one and contenders.
No, they aren't in the same field. Both teams have talent and top picks; but, one team has experienced players in their prime years and the other team has young players who mostly haven't reached their prime years yet.
@@jupiter9881 the fact of the matter is that in spite of what you said, these games come down to the wire, and what separates them is not years of talent, but the coaching. The fever are a defensive scheme away from winning these games. They lost this game due to missed free throws, and the other game because of poor defense. But there was an even more glaring factor: these games were close, and the fever's best player played poorly in both. What's been referred to as wnba's best shooting backcourt, if these 2 ladies have their normal game, Fever beats this team, hence me saying they are in the same field.
You can not let Indiana Fever Kelsey Michell, a 5'8 "guard, guarding LA Aces Aja Wilson, a 6'4" centre. It's a mismatch. What an Indiana Fever guard has to do is to meet the LV Aces point guard high to prevent a pass to Aja Wilson at the foul line. Denying Aja Wilson the spot at the foul line will also disrupt LV Aces offense as this is her favorite spot to orchestrate the play.
Sides how about running your screen action with Clark & Boston on the wing sometimes instead of always at the top of the key. And get Mitchell involved.
Other bad no-calls in this game. Aliyah Boston got shoved in the back on a post pass in the 3rd quarter (?), no call. Also a blatant traveling where a penetrative Aces guard drove lane, picked up her dribble and basically ran all the way around a defender taking at least 3 giant steps before kicking out to an open shooter in the corner. This is exactly why I basically stopped watching NBA back in the early 2000's. Refs can have far too much influence in an outcome of a game. Don't even get me started on all the flagrant fouls being committed against Clark. Jackie Young almost gave her a season ending injury when she slammed into her body as she was coming down from a missed layup. Oh, and almost took out all her teeth as well deliberately whipping her arm towards Caitlin's head striking her in the mouth drawing blood. Officials called a foul on Young but it honestly should have been a flagrant. And I think they should have 2 levels of flagrants, with the 2nd level being a fine and 2 game suspension. Of which at least a dozen flagrants this year committed against Clark (including the one by Young last night) should qualify as level 2 flagrant foul
@@christopherkohl6511 I could not believe that heifer landed on CC hip. Lot of weight, she is lucky no fractures. Would not doubt jaw fracture she has taken several into the jaw and ear lately.
Coach sides say only players work with the play while the other 3 stay on the sides. At lease there should be 3 involve. Perimeter shooting would give wilson some problems.
Boston have to work on her midrange shot if she's going to slip every screen she's got to be able to shoot. That's why I've said if Wilson played with Clark she'd average 40 points a game. They would be like Stockton & Malone.
The Clark-stans on here crying about this breakdown is nauseating. You can't make her GOAT level when she faces lesser or equivalent talent, then claim disadvantage when a superior player and coached team handles her. It's the WNBA, I don't expect high percentage basketball. They shoot push and flip shots that aren't accurate, so they need to shoot in volume to be effective, something that Vegas kept Clark from doing. Stop crying about her being schemed for.
If CC gets respected by the league (next year at the earliest), then teams won't be able to play "Hack-A-Caitlin" with impunity, because the refs will finally be forced to call some fouls.
@@dr.hiccup573 I'm sorry but 11 for 28 is God awful and I'm pretty sure she shot 8 for 28 but whatever. Sing somebody doesn't know basketball when they shoot below 40% is asinine. That might be acceptable from 3 But shooting that percentage overall is a terrible thing
@@liftnleap9815 Highlighting poor shooting splits when someone clearly dominated the game on both ends of the floor is not knowing basket ball. If you actually watched the game A’ja even with an off shooting night was giving the Fever defense HELL in the short roll witch is why Sides put in Wallace and Samuelson to help defend it better. Aces guards were getting deep penetration due to Fevers poor POA defense and then kicking it out to A’ja. off shooting night or not You have to respect her Mid range pick and pop. Once the fever go to close out, the defense is now in rotation witch opens swings to the corner and how AC started dropping daggers in the fourth. A’ja Wilsons defensive presence and Offensive decision making was the reason the aces won. If A’ja didnt have a poor shooting night this would have been a blowout
Nice analysis AC. I just don't understand the Fever Defense...Coach sides is a defensive specialist!!! Very true that CC22 was out matched but so was every Fever player and they had no answer BUT They were only beat by 10 I think.
She wasn’t dominant by Wilson. She shot 3 points short with Wilson not near. Caitlin was tired from overtime. Your header is just click and bait. Whole Fever team was tired and missed many open shots. Your analysis is of limited value.
