Some explanations for various stuff: - Girls bath is behind the red curtain, boys are the blue (I know you noticed this, but the short dude totally went to the girls' side) - The wooden plates hung up at the start are prayers hung up by people who've come to the temple. In the game they're from Patreon backers probably - The movie poster says "Sayuri" - NEET means "Not (in) Education Employment Training", so its basically a derogatory term for someone who does not work or go to school. -As someone else said, the dude by the truck "singing" is actually a track playing over the speakers of the truck, shouting "yaki imo" meaning "baked potatoes/roast potatoes" - The kanji (characters) appearing in the baths from 2:19:17 abouts, is the kanji for "Death"
@thefoosterchannel I love how you are only spooked to a certain degree before you're ready to square up with anything that comes around the corner. These hands are rated E for everyone 🤣🤣
Those little wooden plaques you tore down at the temple are called “Ema” (Picture Horses). People write their dreams or wishes on them and hang them up. However, I think that was their Patreons they had those up for. That you tore down… 😂
Fooster i feel like you dont hesr this enough. i LOVE how you adjust your voice to fit the room you are in. for example, the echo you put on it in the bathroom at the start
The tattoo part in the beginning that you seemed shocked by is because of the Yakuza [Japanese Mafia] and the tattoo's connected to that. So the Japanese see tats as gang related. In turn they created sort of a umbrella clause regarding ink.
Its because of policies like this, in stores and facilities like bathhouses, that Yakuza membership is at an all time low, due to the serious alienating nature of tattoos in Japan. Hasn't stopped organized crime at all though.
I just realized... in the beginning, the customer that said he was gonna visit the protag's apartment never left the bathhouse. Foofie went to go check on him & thought he just left when Fooster wasn't looking. The Mother of the protagonist didn't like the remark he made towards her daughter (protag). The dead body we see with the monkeys is that guy.
"Maybe youll catch a wild elbow to the neck" "Go for your bath" Kicking people out of the bathhouse "Id launch something at your head" Got to love Fooster's customer service experience!
1:01:09. That kid didn’t pay. I think you also need to watch which door they go to before running off to clean. To make sure they go to the correct side.
2:08:00 when you ask what he was saying, he's saying "YAKI IMO!" which is what he's selling. There's often street carts and little trucks in Japan that drive around sort of like ice cream trucks, and they sell roasted sweet potato - yaki imo. They often yell "YAKI IMO!" to varying degrees, sort of like an ice cream truck's song. They're really freaking delicious too and super easy to make. Just need to get a Japanese sweet potato, stab it a bunch, wrap it in foil and roast it for an hour or two in your oven like a normal baked potato. You can just break them in half and eat them as is. The sugars get caramelized and it's just lovely.
Having lived in Japan for many years (and I've been to many Japanese 'onsen'), the atmosphere is right on the money, right down to that large, pink phone on the desk. It's spot-on. Posters on the wall, everything written, and the dialogue are all perfect. This should be fun!
IF I wanted to move to japan and live there, what would be the best way to go about it. I would prefer a place with foresty that is quiet and peaceful. as I am not a big fan of cities
@@ashade2877 Let me update you on that tomorrow...lots of info about Japan. I usually turn in around this time because I have to be at work around 4:45, but I can address your question from my desk when I have a little time. It's Sunday tomorrow, so it should be very slow.
@@ashade2877 Depends. Getting visa here can be kinda hard. If you want to work here, you generally need to have college/university degree, working holiday visa et cetera. Getting work outside of the major cities can be kinda hard unless you're working as something that has workplaces outside the city (chef, construction worker, hotel staff etc). I don't know your age, but a lot of people either do their university IN Japan, or they go to Japanese Language School here, and at the same time does part time work, and/or look for work on the side. Thats because its easy to change your visa status from "Student Visa" to "Work Visa", and getting a student visa can be easy. I'd love to live in Hokkaido, but because all the jobs are in Tokyo, I'm stuck here until I get a visa that don't require me to be employed at a company/allows me more freedom to do whatever I please. Living in Hokkaido and working remote is the dream. I fucking hate Tokyo man... I literally have to go and touch grass, since sometimes I don't do so in MONTHS.
Customer complaining about waiting literally ten seconds. Fooster: ”I’m sorry, I didn’t know I had to speedrun LIFE!” I’ve never wished to use a senetence so much in my life 😂
I love that you time stamp strobe lighting! Never seen anyone else do that. They'll give a warning that there's strobe lighting coming but no indication of when it's safe to look again! I'm not even epileptic and that annoys me lol so I'm glad you include when it stops ❤️
That' "Chilla"tekesu thing is clearly a "Chilla"'s Art thing. Similar to the "chillapaccino" thing in the coffee house. It's a gag. There's many self-insert running gags in their games.
Hello Fooster! I love you videos and watch you videos whenever I write or draw, which is almost all the time. I enjoy watching your skinwalker hunt, witch hunt, and bigfoot hunt videos the most. I always enjoy the videos you post because they're always unique and immersive! I am not afraid to say that on my behalf and the behalf of the rest of your fans that we think you're AMAZING!!! Thank you for posting as much as you do and caring for your audience! We love you!
Omg!! Around 1:07:00 in was the scariest moment I have experienced watching ANY game in so long. I literally felt my soul travel backwards through my body. What’s worse is that I knew when that lady disappeared something would be in that room and it still got me
I see a new fooster video I am happy. I see it is almost three hours long, ecstatic. It’s him playing a chilla art game, I am practically in nirvana. Thank you for all the great content. ❤
I just recently found and subscribed to your channel and my god it is amazing and extremely laid back and chilled, I can’t stop binge watching all of your past videos. Keep up the amazing work and get better soon ❤
NEET = No Education, Employment or Training Japan has a NEET problem where people just stay in their rooms and do nothing, NEET's stay cooped up in their rooms and end up drowning in their own filth, when they try to leave their house they get anxiety attacks. It's a bad psychological issue, there is an anime that tackles this topic called "Welcome to the NHK" and it is a very serious problem.
2:27:00 yes! I've definitely had a dream like that before. Had a dream where I got pulled backwards onto the bathroom sink, and my gf at the time got saw something that scared her and pulled her to the side of the room, but I couldn't move or yell or anything. Excellent video btw! You really enhance the games with your playthroughs.
Lmfao! Fooster’s so cute. When he gets all immersed in the experience by actually greeting the customers, apologizing when he takes too long, etc. Adorable 💕
Man i so wish chillas art would make games like this artstyle in a more replayable manner like a bathhouse tycoon or sim or other japanese culture stuff that would be so amazing
Let’s goooo! I’ve been getting into horror gameplay and just found your channel. I watched your playthrough of “Night Security” last night and it was so good! Can’t wait for it to be nighttime again so I can watch this video.
I love that Fooster is playing more Chilla's Art games! Side note: You should definitely play MADiSON!!! Great story & one of the best indie horror games. Its right up your alley
FOOSTER OMG please play more games from Chillas art, they are the best games to watch 🥹🥹 The kidnap, closing shift and the karaoke are absolutely iconic
This was so fun to watch and your commentary had me cracking up. Those customers were all so rude and weird, ha. I’m halfway through and wondering if they’re being so mean because you have something attached to you or the place is filled with dark entities and it’s making everyone hostile? Idk. Interesting. At the end now:I love how you try to show all endings.
Niiiiiice! I loved watching ManlyBadassHero play the early version of this a long time ago! And it was awesome! Now getting to see Fooster do the updated edition is gonna be fantastic! Lol i can't wait lol Edit: holy crap this looks really good 😮 this is gonna be so funny lol Edit edit: I WAS WRONG! The first friggin jumpscare got me! This is gonna be just as scary as the first time! O.o lol
I have such a love/hate relationship with your channel mate. I love everything you post but I hate watching some videos RIGHT BEFORE I go to sleep! 😂 😂 That second part is on me. ...Pls keep making such amazing content. You're my favorite source of entertainment
I really enjoyed your walkthrough!!it’s honestly been years since I’ve enjoyed a RU-vidr doing this!! I was a “psychadelicsnake” for years and he stopped making content all together plus he disappeared off the internet. I mostly enjoyed the laughs and reactions and you definitely gave me what I’ve been missing !!! So manny ppl have been playing scary games but they never grabbed my attention, but your voice and personality is so genuine that I’m gonna start watching all your content ❤️ thank you for restoring the void !! If anyone knows Lee baker yall know what I’m talking about lol
So i watched a vast majority of this late at night, i reached the bit where you repeatedly go back and forth to the sauna and bath, then i had to stop watching and go to bed I've seen a few of your videos now, yet this one scared me the most by far. I didn't think I'd be scared as the player animations and such are awful, yet the fear i felt watching this video. I never get scared by things like this any more, yet for some reason this really got me. Weirdly, watching the final part the next day was fine, i dunno if that was the tonal shift or watching it during the day? Either way, (in a good way) i hated this video, something about all of it genuinely just frightened me haha
They are all so mental! So far I did not have this experience when going to any public bath or Onsen here xD But the Tattoo thing you have everywhere here. I was recently at a beach south of Yokohama and they had signs saying you are not allowed to enter the beach houses if you got tattoos. The yaki imo (baked potato) speaker singing, I actually heard outside being played while working in the office and I got backflashs to the first bathhouse game lol. I did not know it's an actual thing I would hear in real life.
As a Finn, I just wanna say that the Japanese old dudes pronunciation of "sauna" (a Finnish word) was absolutely SPOT ON. To be fair, Fooster was also so much closer than most non-Finnish speakers typically get it.
P.s. I don't actually care how badly people pronounce Finnish words, but it's embarrassing to always see half of Finland crying about someone's bad pronunciation, but never say anything about someone's good pronunciation.
Hi fooster if your wondering why one of those three at the top turn red when you let the kid in 1:00:57 . That's because he's not a kid he's just a short grown man pretending to be a kid to get in for free
Considering the landlord was killed by Toru, he would have been the sacrifice. With his death, the curse would have been lifted. There was literally no reason for Toru to kill himself.
The old lady with the bug eyes was standing there because that kid is actually a short adult, rummaging through her belongings in the locker area. You didnt catch him which is why you got the x
Just discovered your channel and can't stop watching your vids! You cover some games that other channels I watch don't cover so it's awesome to see something fresh! I don't know why, but I absolutely loved that you greeted every customer as if they were a real person
