That house she picked by the river was pretty ugly, imo. And Edward already hesitated going up those spiral stairs. They are not practical at all as we age, including dogs. Thanks for the upload! I always look forward to these episodes, bring em on!

The stairs can eventually be replaced. Once Henry went up, it became a non-issue. Maria is also young enough that, barring unusual health issues, she should be fine with stairs another 30 years at least.

I love Location Location with Kirsty and Phil. I didn't know they were on You Tube so finding them has been great. It Very sad for Maria to have lost her husband. So good she was able to return to the UK to recalibrate, and start a new different life. She is very fortunate in that she has the cushion of very good finance and doesn't have the horrible burden of having to fret about trying to manage, and can live her dream, along with her dog.

I love Marlow and Henley, but oh, the traffic! I absolutely hate spiral staircases! Try moving a double boxspring mattress up those stairs, never mind a full wardrobe! I'd leave the windows and put in a decent staircase!

This is one of my favorites. My opinion went way up when the dog's happiness was given such consideration. A dog truly is a family member. Then, the couple with children was helped to focus their priorities. Having to work on the house woke up their vision rather than simply keeping it as they found it. That will make it their own.

Maria needs to think about her dog and the stairs he might be able to go up them now but in a couple years he’s not gonna be able to what is she gonna do about that. She can’t really carry him

You can easily take out the spiral stairs and put in a normal set of stairs.

@@connie473 Yes, maybe. But I've had large dogs and when they age, any stairs can become impossible. It's a very sad thing to deal with and she's looking at it in just a few years.

Do people who live beside rivers realise that they do flood? Then the house on the island with water on both sides would have very steep insurance attached to it.

I like the last house Phil showed Maria, how it opens to the water. But I wonder why they didn't put any windows on the outside wall? It has the feeling of a long, dark, box-shaped tunnel. I would want more light with at least some small windows on the outside wall to brighten up the inside space and not have the feeling of 'out of the birth canal and into the river.'

I would rather have someone like Damien than a lot of the other guys who have appeared on the show,. specifically Paul, the guy who was semi-abusive to his wife who cried when she saw a house that didn't fit her vision. Damien appears coolheaded and loving. Paul looks like he's ready to beat up his wife, and childrenl. Do you want a husband like that, really? lol

Tell it to Shakespeare (or a linguist). Language is a fluid thing. People mis-hear things and a new word is born. Did you know, for example that 'apron' used to be 'a napron' and because of pronunciation became 'an apron'? Changes like that happen all the time. Also, since Kirstie was only making a SOUND and not mispronouncing a word, I wonder that you didn't spend your time commenting on Phil saying 'tender hooks' instead of 'tenterhooks.'

Why didn't they show the couple the house next door in the first place? It was a carbon copy and it was up for sale a lot cheaper. Kirsty usually jumps on properties that you can remodel and make your own. This was a perfect opportunity for them. They had the model of what they wanted next door. So just build it. This is why these shows get boring. They are so staged.
