A&K SVD Dragunov Airsoft Sniper Review 

I have one of these. Here's a few problems and how to fix them: The magazine may double feed, and one BB will roll out of the barrel. To fix that, make sure the gun is higher than 90 degrees when you load it. It will double feed if the gun's pointed down, however having it level or pointing upwards will make it load fine. Make sure to tighten all screws up, as they will work their way loose after a short period of time. The barrel and hand-guard will come loose, as will the fake gas tube and the cylinder, unless the screws are properly tightened. And make sure you have the exact right screwdriver, as the screws shear easily. I don't know if this problem is common or not, but the safety lever managed to work itself so loose that it caught on the spring and spun around at high speed, hitting my hand and bursting my knuckle. It was loose from the start, and the screw sheared when I tried to tighten it up. To remedy this situation, either remove the safety straight away or do what I had to do and break the fucking lever off with a hammer and chisel. Don't let the bolt slam forward, as it will shake the screws loose. Slide it forward with your hand to prevent this. I'm struggling to think of anything else out of the ordinary. Just treat it right, maintain it properly, and it'll always shoot true. It's a great gun, just a bit high-maintenance at first.

If you want to pull the bolt easier you can get a CO2 conversion kit for this rifle from eHobbyAsia for $55. I believe it also makes the gun to shoot hotter as well.

Depends on the field. Most fields around here allow up to 550 FPS for airsoft sniper rifles like this.

you can get a bipod but its not the normal kind, you need a scissors configuration bipod. i dont know any airsoft shops that sell these, but if you check ebay or the internet you might find one, it latchs onto the barrel so you can slide it up and down until its comfortable for you.

I could not tell you man, only had ahold of this for a few days however it does take normal AEG springs

the leapers scope mount works on it too and ASGI has the mounts for about $50

I had a little problem with the trigger and the bolt because it would not shoot no matter what. And yes I took it off safe.other wise it's a great gun when you fix the problem

Nice review, although I'm fairly certain you can mount any scope mount for it provided that the mount is made by a real armaments firm, not by any company who want you to buy their product for their gun. You can get a proper SVD picatinny/weaver rail from Izhmash or the Tula Weapons Plant in Russia, but I would advise getting a sight like the PS0-1, or a side mounting red dot such as the Kobra. Can't find them? Do a quick search on good 'ol Ebay.

@xaioguy73 yes you see .20 .25 and etc... is the weight of the bb I think it doesn't influence the size of the bb it just means that the bb is denser and heavier

I highly recommend this gun. ive never adjusted the front sight or hop up and i nail bulleyes from about 30 yards away all day. Its not too hard to pull back and it extremely fun to shoot. you dont even need a scope. if the target is withing 230ish feet. you're going to hit him. shoots best with washed .25s

Yes, I would strongly recommend .3gs for this gun.

Leapers also makes a good scope mount to this gun, if you don't want the classic army one.

I ordered the new version of this gun, but it came with the high cap mag....any possible reasons? and is it normal for its hand guard wiggle a lot?

i have the asg Version of this rifle and it`s one of the best airsoft rifles i have ever played with, but it comes with an m100 spring in the rifle but also a m120 in the box so you can switch it on your own, i just got my m150 spring today and was thinking of a m170 spring for it but talked to lots af other players from my airsoft club and they said i should not og higher then the m150 because it would be so hard to reload..

Finally i bought this gun 2 weeks ago and today it came to home... It was cheap and really good i recomend this this gun if you are looking airsoft rifle... Ps. aim sorry about my bad english.

@jacksonboywonder1996 as apposed to having gears were you wind at the bottom you have to load a mid cap with a speed loader and the bbs will constantly feed and as they are constantly feeding no rattle hope that helps

Does anyone know any good mounts that will go with the color of the gun for a reasonable price? I already have a 4x32 scope.

i traded my well l96 sniper rifle with scope for this gun i didnt know what brand it was i did research found out its this brand. found out its worth 150 without the scope i paid 150 for my l96 with a scope and bipod. anyway this gun has amazing accuracy. i tried look to the side of it to see if it was accurate i couldnt even see the bb its that fast. so i shot at a target i just bought a m150 spring for this and a scope so hopefully it will make this sniper even more powerful. get this gun

Can you upgrade the spring to anything higher? I saw a site that rated this gun or a similar one (idk it was listed as the same thing) at 600 fps.

I maybe buy this gun but games where i play have limit of 100ms(about 300fps) so how can i change the spring???

How come on the site it still says it has a Hi-Cap mag? Is it just them forgetting to change it or do you need to ask for the Mid-Cap?

Hi, great video. I have just got this gun and it is my first sniper, with the mag do you put the BBs in one by one or is there a way to open it. (sorry if this seems like a stupid question)

Hello , I have this gun for about 1 month.I love it, Ive had trouble adjusting the hop up. I know where the screw is and i have the correct Hex key and I know what way to turn. but i have attempted to adjust the hop up and there is no affect. so i loosened the screw all the way and took out the rubber inside and it appears to have been damaging the rubber? has this happened to you? and please explain your hop up if or if it has not had this problem

I bought this gun and when i chronoed it with .25s it only came out to 383 fps does anyone know why this is and how i could fix it?

You probably got the old version. You could always upgrade the spring.

@DragunovSniperSVD you can use an AK Mount to get a RIS up top, so you can put whatever you want on it. Or you could go for the PSO-1 Scope, but damn expensive. Looks good though ;)
