Ordered mine from kickstarter - just waiting and waiting for it to be delivered Now - LOL ....... Does look and sound good though, my current keyboard is the Nuphy Air 75 and man is this keyboard the bomb ...... LOFREE has a lot to beat with this one . Good Video Chris

Yea this one is a really nice keyboard! The Nuphy will be better at gaming, but this one has so much style to it!!

Just received mine today ..... Its a nice board, backlighting sucks and unless you are a touch typist you can not see the letters in the dark you will need light on it to type. The keyboard stand is quite cool and saves on land fill waste..... If you don't mind typing in the dark I would give it 8/10 ..... shine through caps would have been better .... paid $140 with a slip case - don't know if I would pay $300 for them though

@@markockwell hey thanks for sharing that!! I didn’t even think about the font and keycaps for night typing! Agreed it is very dark and the lighting is negligible, I can see the slight lighting but agreed not a strong point of the board at all.

@@CoZChristopher Hi Chris. that said - it is a cool board and I am using it now in the dark, missing a few keys now and then but nothing to drastic. Will use it as a transportable KB to go with my laptop at cafes etc.... Love your videos man, keep them coming. Also picked up the Project D - Tinker from Ducky - love that KB

Its a linear switch only. No-where on the Lofree's website or kickstarter does it actually state this. They also try and dress up the fact that this is a soldered keyboard, not a hot swappable one as you may expect at this pricepoint (although to be fair they have good design reasons to solder it - but they should still make it clear). Conveniently, these are all features that are likely to turn off many enthusiasts who are willing to spend $150+ on a keyboard. The linear only option is for me a deal killer as with that short a travel, linear switches on low profile keyboards just feel "meh" and not far off membranes. These are even shorter than standard low profile switches. The price itself is actually fine given the materials they are using. Actually been wanting someone to release something like this since Keychron made their full metal S1, which sadly wasn't wireless.

Those are good points. I think this keyboard is primarily focused on the design of the materials and being as thin as possible. I can imagine when they iterated on this, they had to choose what tradeoffs would come along with those two primary choices. Really great callouts here!!

@@CoZChristopher I think Lofree has a bad design process. They are so blindsided on getting a "halo product" they miss the fundamentals. I agree they are focusing on the materials but they are clearly targeting enthusiasts, as the main selling point is that it's a gasket mount. It's the same with every product they release. They made a very nice wireless numpad that also doubled as a calculator a few years ago. It was in practice almost useless for productivity because the enter and add keys were in irregular positions. Anyone who needs a numpad is going to expect standard positioning.

Absolutely! I think this one is going to be a very niche keyboard. It’s extremely nice, but it will definitely have a certain crowd that wants it versus others. High End setups, or ppl who really love low profile keyboards, and maybe those with wrist pain and ailments, that’s something I didn’t think of, but it’s so low to the desk, it’s extremely comfortable from that standpoint!

Thank you brother! I absolutely love this style of music, it’s not mainstream, but I’ve always loved eastern Asian music! I’m a Music Business Degree Major and Music Appreciation class is where I was introduced to many styles of music. Celtic music is a fav of mine as well!! Bonny Portmore, one of my favs!

I really like the couple of lofree boards that I have seen lately, I forgot what the other one was called but I saw it on another channel and it looked really high quality as well. BTW, what's the name of that device you have on your desk that looks to be mounted for using your iPhone as a webcam or some kind of monitor? Looks solid, want to check it out.

On closer inspection, looks like it might not be an iPhone but in fact some kind of small portable monitor, I'm talking about the device right to the right of your monitor which is visible at 3:47

Hey good eye! That’s my Ninja V, and that mount is a Neewer Desk Mount for my camera with a Neewer Arm on it holding my Ninja V. That’s where my camera is for the talking head shots. Was that other keyboard the Lofree Flow? I reviewed that keyboard as well. I like them both. I need to compare them quickly!
