What a beautiful boy JR, his confirmation is stunning!❤ Patty is testament to how you care for your horses, 23 years old and in absolutely beautiful condition. You could see your reflection in her coat! Not only that but to produce and carry a foal like Legacy, as a senior mare, just shows her level of fitness. She’s beautiful, be proud of the love you put into your horses JR, it’s beautiful to witness.❤❤❤

What you said about projecting bad energy to the horse is not "hippy" at all. It makes perfect sense. It's that way with other animals as well.

Since its both Patty and Images last foal, id keep the foal even if its a colt and wait and see if you have reproduced that shoulder action. Feeding a colt for a year after weening would be well worth the exspense to watch confirmation and movement. Wouldnt want to sell that movement to someone else.😊

He's got a nice disposition. More a puppy than a horse. A lover and a cuddler for sure! ❤😊

To Irene Smith…..As JR and Emeri have said many times,they are a working ranch,not a rescue operation. In order to continue to exist, they need to breed and eventually sell livestock. If they do not, then they will go bankrupt. However, they have on occasion rescued special horses such as Oliver, and Jewel with her newborn foal. In both instances, they were able to do that because they were blesses by donations from their You Tube and Patreon family. You seem to have a heart for rescuing horses, and there are many many rescue operations who would be grateful for your donation. Because of the ongoing feed,veterinary costs, etc. for Oliver and Jewel, I will be supporting Homestead as a member of their Patreon; I believe they would be grateful if you do so as well.

Beautiful Legacy was born on my son’s birthday. I relived my labor in my mind along with Patty(I saw the live birth). I thank God for him every day.(& my beautiful daughter). Regardless of how many times I witness a birth of anykind whether it was MY son or kittens or puppies or here several times a foal as you've graciously shown us, it's nothing short of a MIRACLE😂😂. To watch a brand new life begin gives you the opportunity to witness some of God's power. Perhaps to him, it's ordinary, but to me, enough said. As I stated on another video, I thought in honor of Image that "Spitting Image" would be such an appropriate name. Just a thought🤔🤔. Take good care of mom and baby😅😅 I just saw where you named him Legacy. Yea, thats a great name. Please don't take offense to my suggestion. I have a tendancy to comment before the end sometimes😬😬

Wonderful baby, good job as her mid-wife! LOL. And geldings make wonderful partner horses! So hopefully you'll decide to keep him! 🙂 Your family does a really nice job with the horses & animals, that is so nice to see, thank you for that. Also, during birthing, using straw (wheat, not oat) can be better for the baby rather than sawdust, which they can get in their nose, breathed in can cause bronchial issues. But it doesn't absorb water well, so after the foal is up, dried & doing good, it can be replaced with the sawdust. Good job!! 👍

I did see the live birth video & very glad I seen this 1,even more! Thank you for continuing to teach us things about horses I had no idea they do menopause & now know what happened to JR & learned about horses picking up on you & your feelings I know that's correct100% i been round animals all my life (my prarie dogs are especially skittish being a prey animal) don't get me wrong they're completely relaxed & lovable at home but you do have to be aware that they can hear things you can't are territorial Etc so I need to be on the ball when I handle them an unexpected noise or something like that can spook them= honestly I'm relieved that it wasn't Oliver I was scared to death that maybe giant Oliver hurt you by accident😬 I was worried I'm relieved it wasnt him=that's good info to learn the difference of a settled in horse vs. A younger horse that might be more high-strung= I had a question back when Jr & bekah we're working with a horse she got 1 foot up in the stirrup you guys were taking that horse real slow & careful & you aborted the mission you said the horse showed fear so ended that B4 anything went wrong & I'm so glad that you did!!= I'm so curious?? What to look for?? The eyes? The ears going back? The nostrils flaring? Tensing of the muscles? I was watching & I don't know? what I was looking for?? Been wanting to ask that question? maybe later? in some video?? Maybe you could point out what to watch for?=& I know you wanted a little Mare so bad I'm so sorry but at least you got a healthy little boy I know you said you can't have too many stallions that does make sense I'm sad for that too😔but he will probably do just fine just at a different Homestead down the road = & I'm glad u dried the cold baby off & gave him whatever name stuff that was? that he needed for a good start🙂I'm relieved yall were right there to help the new❤️baby you guys know what your doing JR'S healing hands to help birth babies is the most awesome thing I have ever seen!!! Would like to know could that baby have been saved??😭💔 I think if JR was there that baby could've been saved??= 2 guys "pulled"😳 baby out did not try to go in & correct position b4 pulling =my great grandfathers farm vet book I grew up lookin at frm young age showed how baby horses r sposed to come out & other positions that aren't right I would swear that bk showed going in to assist position? Before assisting??= those 2 guys blew it!! IMO I could be wrong? Horses name was queen - - - - (something?) A fresian mare - her baby was lost😭💔 named star (foreign country I think?) But near by another mare with brand new baby= passed away of colic they brought her new baby to fresian mare "very carefully" she accepted the new baby!!! (Named him rising star after lost baby) if JR said 1 way or the other?? (wonder if that baby had a chance?😭💔) = I'd totally believe whatever he said because he knows!!! & is an accomplished first class horseman!!! Anybody that can help birth baby horses is AOK # 1 TO ME!!!
