Hello, Mrs. Fisher! Just a quick question: When answering the representation question in the Component 1 exam, am I allowed to relate to theories that are outside the field of representation (such as Steve Neale's Genre which isn't categoirsed as representation) or do I just have to stick to reflecting representation theories on said text? Thank you!
Is it true that in February the exam board would simplify the exam and tell the schools the set texts that will come up in the exam? Apparently this is happening because of the disadvantage students have this year due to missing many months due to lockdown. Since you’re a media teacher could you please confirm for me whether this is true or not, thank you so much mrs fisher.
In February 22 the exam boards will inform schools and teachers what they should focus on for revision and therefore what the focus of the 2022 exams will be. They have not made that clear yet whether they will be telling schools that the exams will only cover certain topics, or specific set texts from those topics. But hopefully that information should help to narrow down the revision needed before the exams.
Hi, actually the advanced information released yesterday has Kiss Of The Vampire as a Representation question in comparison to an unseen film poster. The Media language will always be an unseen text, not one of your set ones. This year tue advanced info states that the Media Language unseen will be a music video.
