I have a different description on what the symptoms are , I think I'm gonna die and then I come back it's the afib that comes and leaves proxial something it makes me tired I need more rest , it's hard for my heart to give enough oxygen to my muscles , a feeling of pressure and bloating is often accompanied with the symptoms .meds make me tireder. It makes my need for sleep greater. I do not believe it will be cured or improve I am throwing my hands up I just accept it's a new shitty aspect of an already stressed world ☹️I wouldn't wish it on nobody.

Hello George, i hade the same proximal Afib you having. I was hospitalized 2 times with in 6 months, and thought i am going to die. It was Stress and lack of peace of mind. Got over it with facing the facts and CBD oil. Good luck.

I don't have Afib but do get episodes of atrial tachycardia with a heart rate that has gone as high as 240 bpm. Had a catheter ablation performed 11 years ago. Thought I was cured for two years and then bam they started again. Not very frequent. Maybe 3 times a year but when they hit feel like I'm gonna die cause rate is so fast the heart doesn't pump adequately. An abrupt shoulder stand often converts rate to normal but not always. I've needed to be injected with Adenosine a number of times to get it to normalize. I'm a in good shape 70 y.o. Could be worse but hate having this. Feel it may someday be my demise.

I had Afib without a heart valve problem. I did some research and found out it can be an electrolytes deficiency, so I started by making sure I got enough Magnesium and potassium the other electrolytes i felt i was getting enough.I haven't had an episode in years.

Shouldn't ALL OTHER OPTIONS, which leave the heart INTEGRAL, first be explored? After all, those (problematic) heart cells would still be there doing their function - if they were NORMAL. The heart is NOT the same with some of it - MISSING.

I found out I had Afib by accident. I am totally asymptomatic. I kept going to my heart doctor and he kept saying you should be feeling this or that I wasn't. Finally had a heart ablation with 90% of my back wall ablazed. I have to admit I do feel some better, but really feel no different than when first diagnosed. I take three different meds. Heart has gone from 30% function to 60% since ablation never felt bad, no symptoms nothing. Have had to wear heart monitors from time to time no more afib, but now have SVT. Still no symptoms. I just continue follow up with heart doctor and do what he tells me otherwise I don't know anything is wrong with me.

The success rate from this procedure is 50% at best…same as the $1400 a month meds… try a life style change…less alcohol….walk…lose weight…. Magnesium, nattokinaise and coq10…. For what they are charging I expect a CURE!

I just had an ablation. Afib is 99% gone after over a year with 24/7 symptoms. Procedure was a ‘pieca cake! No pain whatsoever before or after. Drugs will be a part of my life, to maintain Afib absence. Go for it.

What a great story and awesome outcome! I had open heart surgery June 28, 2017. This involved replacement of both mitral and aortic valves along with the MAZE procedure . I still don't feel well. I still have SOB with exertion. I'm scheduled for a Cardioversion the end of this month. Hopefully, my heart will re/set itself at that time. Best wishes to you!

Uh, after the ER visit there was no medication, no blood thinners, no anything else in my life style with the exception of STOP DRINKING! I did stop for 90 days. They wanted to do a stint, a filter and put me on blood thinners; I refused! Well anyway, at 74 years old; not consuming so much alcohol was the trick. The longer your drink and the more you drink will eventually lead to having atrial defribillation. Doing great a year later and limiting my alcohol intake to just 7 days a week at 9 ounces of vodka (not the 16 ounces or more of vodka that I was consuming). Do not believe what the medical establishment wants to to believe!

100% correct, had similar symptoms irregular heartbeat. Doctor said I had a virus and it wasn’t anything to get concerned over. I didn’t like the uncomfortable feeling. One day I realized every time I drank alcohol several days later I had the palpitations. So I’ve quit drinking and I started getting more exercise and eating better. I haven’t had any problems for almost 10 years. Booze is great but it’s got to be controlled especially as we get older. I occasionally drink, but it’s no longer away of daily my relaxing, the discomfort wasn’t worth it. Choices are always compromising but it beats the alternative.

I've read where some doctors are getting more than 90% success rate with cryoablation where RF ablation is usually around 70%. There are other methods to relieve afib suffering such as Cardio Inversion which works on the outside of the heart more than the inside or the placement of what is termed a Watchman Device into the left atrial appendage to stop the collection of blood from turning into a clot.

My doctor told me they can only do two ablations and their effect last about 3 years. If are cells wear out and are replaced, and after 7 years all of our cells have been replaced ( divine intelligence) you have to ask why does your body replace poorly operating cardiac cells with new poorly operating cardiac cells? What is the root cause? My guess it has something to do with poor sleep, poor diet, not enough exercise, breathing through your mouth, environmental pollutants and a shit load of stress. ST

I've had 5 cardioversions and 2 cardioablations. Even though I had a TTE before the first cardioablation, apparently procedure caused me to have 2 blood clots break loose. Not a fun thing to have, feels just like a heart attack. Its been 5 months since the second ablation, so far so good. Doctors will tell you sometimes it takes more than one for it to work. Will probably be on blood thinners the rest of my life.
