Omg I’m sad and happy at the same time because people are still making anderperry content but Neil is still dead and they didn’t get together and now I’m sad btw this is perfection
@@zehra9600 Right like what is this person talking about, Neil became a famous Actor and Todd became a famous poet, and they live happily ever after they confessed their love 🙄🙄
Did we watch the same movie? in the movie I WATCHED, Neil becomes an underground actor and Todd a poet, they own a small cafe together and live in a small apartment in nyc in the 70s
I'm never emotionally, physically, and mentally recovering from this film. my heart is forever torn and I will continue to exhaust my suffering for the rest of my life.
[spoilers but also the video had spoilers lol] this is 1000% their song in my mind, there are so many lines that apply to them - from the idea of having to hide their relationship (I don't really give a damn about the way you touch me / When we're alone / You can hold my hand / If no one's home), which if they were together in a homosexual relationship in 1959 in that sort of school would have been necessary, to the implication that the singer's partner committed s*icide (And if I could take it all back / I swear that I would pull you from the tide), as well as neil being a lot more composed and confident (She's a lady) and todd being a soft, shy child (I am just a boy). it hurts me to think of todd thinking these things, and in a way singing it 'to neil' but it fits SO WELL
OUCH this hurt bad :( “I’m a wreck when I’m without you, I need you here to stay, I broke all my bones when I found you crying by the lake” in the context of Todd finding out Neil is dead wow im in pain
I just watched the movie for the first time yesterday (I’ve already watched it two more times lol) and I instantly thought of this song for the two of them so thank you so much for this :D
I just leave it open. They could be either, close friends or maybe a little more. They are just the only ones in this movie with this kind of potential, so in comparison their relationship looks different.
