A Lions Fan Reaction to the 2021-2022 NFL Season 

Hopefully they keep building and Stafford comes home in 4 years after a couple Super Bowls and wins 1 on a stacked Lions team.

Not only that, but Campbell is just a likeable guy. Other than the packers, I see a lot of fans of other teams rooting for the guy to succeed (Including me since I’m a Titans fan)

And with Holmes as GM. Campbell is amazing since he inspires players, including crappy ones. But he also inspires great players to be even better, which is where Holmes comes in.

They clearly tanked their last season from what I saw. Like that thanksgiving game they were up and gave up a last second FG to lose. Quality tanking right there. So if they actually were to really go out there an try to win, they might win 7-8 games maybe. I must admit I don’t really know that much when it comes to the NFL but I feel like what I said is reasonable.

@@James30545 Hello troll. The Lions clearly did NOT tank last season. There was a last second FG that broke an NFL record for how long it was (66 yards?) and was why they lost that game. And almost all the other games they lost were close games. If they were tanking games they would try to make the scores to not be close so they wouldn't accidentally win.

Only if you've only been a fan since 2020. Otherwise all the previous GMs weren't trying, unless you mean trying to win Tic-Tac-Toe.

Do you realize since 2008, the Lions first round looks like Cherilus Suh Fairley Ansah Reiff Tomlinson Decker Ragnow Sewell Hutchinson Those players are, basically, copy and pasted. Only Suh has been a smash. The rest have been average players at accessory positions. Don’t tell me every GM before holmes wasn’t trying what he is. You don’t realize how bad Campbell’s sound bytes are. He is bordering on “my shovel is sharp” and showing shark footage to his players. Let me guess….when he rides off of practice on a Harley, that’s going to be pretty cool too…. The day this team lost was the day Campbell said “we are better suited to run a 43”….before he even had a freaking 43 DE on the roster. If that didn’t tell you how oblivious the moron is, I’m not sure you were watching.

The Lions have been through way too much sucking for a franchise. I hope someday they become an insufferable dynasty so I can hate them. They deserve that.

The Lions are doing the rebuild of a proper team. Build infrastructure before finding your QB. The offense will again be rough this year, but I expect their defense to consistently play the way they did a lot of last year and not really have any of those implosion games. Reinforce the depth on defense, pay for a big ticket OL, and take your qb with your top 5 pick next year.

@@iliketurtles7782 experience, and I imagine they will sign a free agent or 2. Experience will help them cut down on inconsistency, adding an impact edge rusher in Hutchinson will take pressure off of the secondary.
