Good evening ma'am. I was really passionate about Medicine but I took up MD Anaesthesia in a peripheral AIIMS. I was planning on doing DM Critical care post MD. How much overlap is there with medicine ma'am ? Also what would be the work timings if I choose to work in private hospitals ?
Dm critical care is medicine plus anesthesia kills combined...timings initially will be a combination of day night then off...slowly as u grow with the branch later whn u become consultant timings get better..nights are like on call types.
Job opportunities can never die down in anesthesia as u need anesthetist for almost all procedures...CCM...dm..u need to clear exam by studying properly but getting fellowships of 2 years n all are quite easy.
Hello mam., You told about some work as a consultant. So what basically does a consultant do. Can they still go for a coat blue or just only consultant ?
Depends on the pvt institute but u always have time for urself and ample amount.in the beginning of career night duties vary from 6 to 8 then slowly these will be less

In critical care u have to do day duty or night duty like 1 week in a month or rotation wise as per the no. Of colleagues later..when u r senior it's like u r taking morning rounds and then on call for ur icu...it get balanced
All branches are associated with medicolegal issues ...all buy indemnity insurances all branches be it surgery or obs gynae or dermat or anesthesia...nothing like tht ki we have more medicolegal issues...all this info is wrong plz don't let this thing come in while deciding branch.

No you cannot. You need to be mbbs graduate for being eligible to do md Anaesthesia. MD means doctor of medicine, and you can't be doctor by doing msc.

Depends amount u want to spend on machine or u can rent them like radiofrequency n prp..but u ll be needing a carm and may be a usg machine..so upto 15..18 lac

Mam .. my rank in inicet nov 23 is 1500 . So good institute for anaesthesiology from aiims ? Or u can say priority wise sequence to opt(also including jipmer and pgi chandigarh). Or i should give neet and opt tata memorial like u.
If interested in critical care in future defntly tmh...also academics are superb there...n u get 6 months of non cancer cases exposure in kem...some people feel it's not enough but u have an option of doing srship later...then kem then tmc
