A little work on the Shovel

Again I day a big part of T1C training within UC on a global level is the practice and understanding of how weapons work! Point/edge, blunt-force and firearms are all within the study of such a Combative Trainee. This will include melee weapons as well as any improvised tool/weapon of opportunity or where legality allowed any purpose built weapon of personal carry. All begin with Combative competence. So get practicing!

The best weapon is the weapon not seen initially as a weapon. I highly recommend everybody gets a shovel like this.

In Europe, no one really questions what he is teaching. It works. Well. In the US, trying to get people to understand that there's more out there than BJJ, MMA, and Muay Thai is sometimes impossible!

I do delivery work & sometimes end up working in some real rough areas. Listening and watching Lee's videos before a shift is extremely sobering and gets me switched on. Appreciate all Lee's efforts in educating. An inspirational man.

You gotta have strong wrists for this, any wrist problems are gonna wreck you! The shovel is going to stop fast, stabbing it one handed on a torso, ouch! If it penetrates it’s a different story of course. It’s also easy to grab and sticks in clothing but still fun to play with!

@@nuclearwar112 Lee has trained people in the military. He himself is not but he has more real world experience at hand to hand violence than most soldiers. You can look up his background he's not shy about it and talks about it in several videos. Lee is fucking legit
@kylejackman1007
@kylejackman1007 2 месяца назад
@@nuclearwar112 you'd have to watch his training vids. But I also think your misunderstanding the context. Lee lives in the UK where they have very draconian weapons laws. This isn't a demonstration of military experience. It's training for some poor sod to use a shovel to protect his family
@yorkiebilger7805
@yorkiebilger7805 2 месяца назад
@@nuclearwar112he has a 40 year background in multiple martial arts including FMA. He certainly has been in more real life threatening combat encounters than you've had women. So do you think you could defend against his full speed full aggression attacks with a tactical shovel?😂😂
@nuclearwar112
@nuclearwar112 2 месяца назад
@@yorkiebilger7805 I mean, it just looks like some senseless and uncoordinated moving and FMA has no shovel techniques. This is different from the army's kind of use.

I've watched a few of this man's clips over the years and I can't help but notice in some of them he comes across as psychopathic in his mannerisms, actions and facial expressions, the way he looks intently into the camera without saying a word while showing his weapon of choice. If he wasn't a self defence instructor some of his clips would be a cause for concern... but I guess he is, so they are not.

Judges 3:31 - Shamgar used a farming tool to strike down 600 Philistines.
@stevenscott2136
@stevenscott2136 Месяц назад
I always wondered -- was that 600 in a day, or 600 over the course of a lifetime? I think he'd be too tired after the first couple hundred to finish in a day. While taking out targets of opportunity over many years would be very practical.
@JaimeRubio-r2i
@JaimeRubio-r2i Месяц назад
@@stevenscott2136 This is were exegetical interpretation (allowing Scripture to interpret Scripture, in addition to context) is in order. In 2nd Samuel 23:8, one of David's Mighty Men, Adino slew 800 with a spear at one time. In verse 18, Abishai slew 300 with a spear. There were other Mighty Men such Benaiah, Shammah, and Eleazar who slew several of the enemy by themselves in individual battles. You can study about these warriors in both 2 Samuel 23 and 1 Chronicles 11. In addition, read Judges 15 concerning Samson, who killed one thousand Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey. Back to Shamgar, he killed 600 with an ox goad. It would not be practical (if it took years for him to kill) to only limit himself to an ox goad. Swords, spears, and other killing weapons would much more feasible. And the same can be said of Samson. Reserving oneself to a donkey's jaw to kill a thousand Philistines (over the course of years) is highly impractical. I believe these men were somehow "God-empowered" to accomplish such great feats. If God is real, then this is not hard for me to believe.
