Hey Bill can you tell me who made the jumpsuit what company used to make the jumpsuit for all those guys????....thank u... Was that company out of Chicago...
I believe Maria Contessa made it, I'm trying to figure out for sure and will chat with her after the holidays. Various people in the NY area made their costumes over the years. "Real Attractive" was another as well as leGaspi....
No idea actually, could have been any pedal made at the time, or done in the studio with tape flange. Doubt Ace would even remember either. I only had his way pedal and Mutron octave divider....
@@Billvis77 Thank you - I've dug around and I'm thinking most likely it's the MXR Doubler/Flanger model 126 - the blue rack unit from I think '76 - or possibly even an ADA Flanger from '77. The MXR has an 'Invert' switch and the ADA has an 'Odd/Even' Harmonic switch - these switches make these units capable of negative flange which has that real vocal quality to it - almost wah-ish. That's what I'm hearing on the song as opposed to positive flange which sounds like the familiar 'jet' type swoosh sound.
Hey Bill! How are you man? It’s great to see you posting videos on this stuff again. I recently came across a video where you had a ray gun. I was just wondering if you could give me a brief history on that (if you know). I recently managed to get a NASA space helmet like he wore at that ‘77 LA radio appearance, and I heard he also had that Ray gun? Not sure how true that is, was wondering if you could clear it up for me
Well the weird thing about Ace (or the old Ace), is that he threw stuff away. And the ray gun came from a box he was throwing away that I rescued as I was leaving his house when he was moving. So it turns out that it was the very ray gun he had at the station, and made the same sounds. I eventually sold it and I have no idea who has it now. -BB
