Thoroughly enjoyed you sharing this other collection of yours. There is a charm to the glow that they produce and it is interesting to hear their story. Hope you are staying warm after that early spring of last week.
I have a chair in front of the wood stove and two cats keeping me warm in it. These lamps are both decorative and useful, these are the newer ones from the 20th century. I have some older ones that date to the late 19th century. I hope you are enjoying your phonographs, need more records yet? I am told I have 200 more heading up from Florida in April.
I do enjoy the phonographs still. I am still going through all my stuff from the move to Pennsylvania three years ago. I would be interested in some records, however of late, I look for WW2 era in particular. I play these on HMV players you know I have. I volunteer with the National Park here on the Gettysburg battlefield and also the WW2 museum which opened up down here a year ago. I saw from one of your videos you visited Hershey, Pa so you were close to us. If you come back down this way, would enjoy bringing you around to these places. Our news though is our daughter and her husband are expecting their first child later in the summer. They live in Millbrook, so we will be going back up there sometime around then. Unfortunately, my wife and I also have to have surgeries around that same time, so we’ll have to see how that all works out. Say hello to Scott from me when he arrives from Florida.
Congratulations on the new grandchild, and good luck with the procedures. I know I have lots of Columbia red labels around, these would be late 1930's and up music. Not sure what Scott is bringing, you just never know with him. I did visit the AACA museum in Hershey a couple of years back to see the Tucker car exabit there. It's increasingly difficult for me to travel these days so I am not sure when I would be able to get to Gettysburg.@@paulwilson126
@@RockIsland1913 Thanks Jim. We will be coming up to NY for our daughter’s baby shower which will be on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Possibly get to see you if we can mesh our calendars.
