Here's a little walk around of the brand new John Deere 345G. Up next week will be a walk around of a smaller version...The brand new 245G, oh and it will be equipped with Topcon's indicate only gps system.
The quality and dependability of JD/Hitachi excavators has always been great but the one glaring issue is the noise of the tier 4 machines. The fans absolutely scream. They are louder at idle than a Cat at full rev. It's obnoxious.
Is there any point to the badge engineered versions of excavators? Why not simply buy the Hitachi instead of going for the yellow equivalent? At least with the Sumitomo machines you could not actually buy those outside of Asia.
John Deere may look good but The stability is garbage I am not a hater for John Deere I just had to load trucks off a pile one time and they do not handle a full bucket of material and when tracking it on the ground there is no suspension for the cab when it bolts up to the main frame so it rocks everything in the Cab like crazy not comfortable and the machine that I was running was a John Deere 345 zero swing I own a Volvo 235 zero swing and it’s the best laid out machine I’ve ever ran.
