Sure! I kind of have a loose format for what I use. I do have a set of about 8 highlighters, of which I probably use 6 or so. I generally just use light blue or light orange to highlight important phrases or passages. Just a general "key point" type of color I like to have. I use a dark purple to highlight words or phrases of God or Jesus to man (purple just signifying royalty if that makes sense). Obviously the whole Bible is technically God's word to man but I like to use it especially in terms of dialogue when God or Jesus is addressing someone. Along with that, I use a dark pink to highlight man's words to God/Jesus. So the pink and purple are used quite a bit and often within the context of a conversation or words of direction and a person's response. I've been using a light green color to denote passages in the New Testament which can be linked to a passage in the Old Testament. Specifically, a prophecy type of statement that is given in the OT which Jesus or someone states in the NT. I've also been using the classic yellow highlighter color to again tie into key phrases or points which I believe God wants me to take note of. I have a gel writer pen that I keep handy as I also like to underline, circle, and connect repeating phrases with that. This Bible has a lot of margin space so I can write notes and just impressions from the passage I am reading. I hope that helps! I didn't consult a color code before I started but that might have been helpful to give more direction. I'm for lack of a better word, making it up a bit as I go and finding it getting more structured as I pick out various things I want to highlight. This is my first Bible that I've done this in. I anticipate it taking 3 or so years because I am going slow. But I want to do more and will probably improve/hone this process as I keep doing it.
