Honeycomb the world beyond released a demo a little ahead of the Steam Next Fest! This demo will be available until the 17th of June.
Today we check out the gameplay of honeycomb, the demo contains the first few objectives including the story cutscenes. We arrive on Sota 7, an alien planet that we have to study. We craft our basic tools and start gathering materials. Along the way, we discover some animals, plants, and a giant skeleton with a small statue in the middle that looks human made as we saw the same one in the intro on Earth.
I had some trouble trying to figure out how to build a base as you need pipes and other crafting materials for it. I don't think those are available in the demo but I managed to figure out how to unlock creative mode and used that to build a base. However, another problem is power, as I couldn't figure out how to connect the wind turbines and solar panels to the house.
