Hello all. I spent a few days at the Papae Meditation Retreat in July, and I can truly say that it was an amazing life and spiritual experience. If you take the time to go there, you will not regret it I can promise you that. Enjoy! Daniel
@@nickkeomahavong01 Venerable good evening actually I am a Christian from the Philippines as I watched your videos I was encouraged to do a meditation but I don't have any ideas on what to start or what to do, I do much interested to join in 3days retreat scheduled in December. But how?
Yes, the world is definitely noisy, but my residence is quiet. It is my retreat center, and the longer that I live as a bachelor and grow spiritually, the greater my appreciation for my life as it is.🙏
This has got to be one of my favourite videos you’ve made. The background music, birds singing, stunning views and your calming words and voice was enough for my shoulders to drop and be present in moments. Thank you for giving us such an informative view of your daily life 🙏🏼
Everything about this video is soothing, relaxing. I can just feel the coolness, freshness of the water by the rocks! As i get older simplicity is what I have gravitated towards and it is so satisfying I can’t imagine living any other way. Thank you Nick for sharing.
Me too!! I’m getting to a place where I don’t want to be around anyone anymore because people are so unpredictable and pure evil! I’m looking at things with my spiritual eyes now and I tell ya, this world is ( fake world) is filled with so much hate!!
Thank you for recommending your retreat center. I was just there after being so curious about meditation. I've been following you since the pandemic started and I have learned so much from your videos. I didn't expect that doing the retreat will completely change me. I have been suffering from depression and was quite tired of it. Never have I been most joyful, at peace, and no longer struggling. You are all doing amazing work. Thank you
Woke up this morning made a coffee and then watched your video Nick and it was like i was in a meditative state all the way through. Beautiful video and now inspired to drive up and join this peaceful community retreat. 🙏🏼 Thank You.🙏🏼
even just from watching this video I could feel the amazing calmness and stillness of Papae. what a beautiful place- and as many people in the comments have also remarked- what an incredibly calming soundscape
Nick I started chanting for last 25 days! Been life altering (I use the one from your app each morning then meditate for 15 min). I definitely have this place in my sights - as I’ve finally gotten the courage to leave my company in 2023!
You are such a kind soul, this video was here for me when i was stressing out and having one of the worst nights of my month. Thank you so much for the calm piece of art you created.
Thank you for sharing, venerable Nick, how kind of you to let us in in this intimate and spiritual space. It was such a beautiful birthday gift ♥ It touched me deeply I was crying (I still am), I always dreamed of being in a place like this. The fact that I found you in itself had such a positive impact on my life I am always grateful for, and now that you took the effort and shared your loving kindness with us through this video is like a dream came true in a way I never expected... I am just an ordinary city girl, but my feelings are drawn very much to this kind of spiritual life and it made me feel like I was important. It was absolutely amazing 🥺🥺🥺 I am really touched. Thank you... ♥ 🙏
Dear Nick, thank you for taking the time to share this beautiful video. Your content is helping me in ways I cannot put in to words during a time I am experiencing a lot suffering. Thank you for sharing. Love from Arizona
Venerable Nick❣️Hello to you!!!SO good to see and hear you❣️Sending you Blessings, peace, and health to you always ❣️♥️♥️♥️♥️‼️🕉🪬☮️🙋♀️You are loved and respected beyond❣️
These are some of the most beautiful bird and insect sounds I’ve listened to. What a treasure. Don’t watch this late at night, it will put you right to sleep! 😂 Thank you for this 🙏
Oh my, my, my ... I feel as if I've just died and gone to heaven! What a retreat! Even though I'll never be able to visit in person, you've provided this old lady with the most delightful alternative, so thank you my young friend. Greetings from The Netherlands (btw, I'm also a native Californian)🕊🕊🙏🙏💕💕
What a beautiful and peaceful place simplicity and at one with the natural world, it was so peaceful and restful watching and listening to your voice. We all need to slow down and give our minds some peace and quiet. Love and light always 🙏🏻❤️
Absolutely beautiful. The big takeaway for me with this video was a reminder to cultivate this type of environment in my own home and in the workplace. Thank you, Nick. Big love...xo
Thank you for this video. All I want is peace in my life, I don’t truly know what that means. Buddhism is the only thing that has brought me any form of the peace I’ve been chasing over this last year. I turn 25 on June 1 and i’m not where I want to be in life and I don’t feel proud or confident of myself because of superficial achievements, or lack there of rather. I am going to plan a retreat for this time so that I will be focused on what matters and not on material items or expectations that are put on 25 year olds in my country such as being a home owner, making 6 figures, taking a luxury birthday trip, or having a lavish party. I know this retreat will challenge me and my food addiction, work addiction, as well as my addiction to my phone and technology devices. I am going to tell my dad about this retreat as well to see if it’s something he would like to do. Thank you so much for sharing this information. I look forward to being able to visit and meditate with true monks (or nuns since I’m a woman).
The modern society has dictated our lives from a very young age to chase approval from the outside and to ignore our natural instincts. It is very good you are searching for the peace now. 🙏
Thank you Venerable Nick for inspiring me to visit and participate in the 3 day retreat with my family (of 4) from the UK. Even though it rained a lot and we were bitten by mosquitoes and other insects it was a great experience in amazing nature and brought us to Thailand for the first time….but won’t be the last time!…..a beautiful country with beautiful souls/people 🥰 I’m sorry I couldn’t meet you (even though I understand you are back in Thailand) as I have followed you for some time on RU-vid and will continue to do so, as I enjoy and am very grateful for how you explain spirituality in the context of ‘normal’ life which we all have to live (unless we can live a Monks life). Thank you again for all the great contribution you make to people like me who are trying to live a spiritual life in a complex world…..Satour!🙏😄
Wow thank you for the tour...loved all of it 💜 The forest is my favourite place to be. Perhaps one day I will travel there. I'd love to meditate in the tree house 🧘♀️
@@nickkeomahavong01 I didn't say, Venerable, but the peace makes me cry. I live in Los Angeles. It's stressful here. As soon as I saw the genuine, beautiful, quiet, honest way of life by all, I was drawn right in. This is how we should all be living. It's healing just watching it. Thank you. Namaste ♥️🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️
Thank you Venerable Nick! And all who contributed to this video. I love the section about the couple who make that incredible home grown coffee and the family who makes the food . The little animals look so calm and happy. What a wonderful place.
The library spot looks like very cozy, clean n artistic. The cafe, yr Kuti n the river hall also look nice. The food looks delicious and the western monk who wear glasses also very handsome n the view has a soothing effect to the heart. Vr Nice video.
Thank you so much for all your videos.
@@nickkeomahavong01 You are very welcome! I am just a plain American living in the chaos of the world like most everyone. I've watched your videos for quite some time. I always learn something watching your videos. Your ideals and structure for living well within, are wonderful to bring into anyone's life, no matter what path they are on. Living comes from the inside, not the outside. You teach that well. Thank you 😊
Oh forgot to say, my favourite place was the hall with the open sides and the hangings cloths on one side. It looks like a place I sometime go to in my mind when I meditate. Vey moving. Blessings on you and the whole community, jewel
What a beautiful and serene place to hear the call of the Buddha and walk the path of the Bodhisattvas, walking meditation and recitation walking in saying name and the in focusing on the Buddha Samadhi, Ven. Nick truly the path of inner awareness is the spiritual map that guides your daily practises...........
I can’t wait to come visit you soon. 💛It’s been on my list for quite some time now and in January I will finally make this dream happen. It’s been truly beautiful to get a little insight of what’s awaiting me there. Khop khun ka🙏
Hello. I’m from Mexico. What a beautiful place ! I have never been in Thailand. I will go there to a tour and a retreat next year with Mexican and latinoamerican people. We practice Dhammakaya meditations every day. Nida is our host in the zoom group. Last year I was very lucky because I met some monks in Mexico. I did not know your videos, until today because the venerable who led us the morning meditation shared a fragment of one of them. Nice to meet you!
Hello Gabriela! Nice to meet you. Thank you so much and yes please come to visit us when you get a chance. The community here is wonderful. Looking forward to seeing you all. And welcome to the channel 😊 Here’s our website for more info: www.Papaemeditation.org
Very much hoping to make it to this or the flexible retreat! I have been following your practice for a few years now from distant UK but will be in Thailand from mid Nov to mid Dec. Would be truly an honour to meet you and spend time here. Sending love and maybe see you soon !!
No thank you! I have been learning so much from your channel! It has blessed my life and has helped me focus more on other peoples needs and to alleviate their pains etc. A life of service is a happy one
To actually select one aspect of the video would do it an extreme injustice. Therefore, I will not make a selection but an observation that I think will encapsulate everything: The openness of it all was simply beautiful and something that we should all strive for, i.e., an open life-free of clutter. As always, very inspiring 🙏
Hi in Chiang Mai, I ve been there when I was backpacking couple of years ago...well in 2004...for 3months round Thailand+Lao, amazing part of the world. North of Thailand is nice and full of Buddhism which gives special ,spiritual, calming atmosphere. I visited lots of Watts , one big was Doi sutep ( wrong pronunciation), on the hill ,deep in jungle with long stairway . Remember green , smaragd Buddha. ....I recall Thailand quite often...
Thank you this tour around Papae meditation center! I was reading about the retreat in the web earlier, and your video really got me motivated to come to this beautiful and peaceful place and experience this tranquillity myself. Hope I will do it next year!
