In this video I go through how this heavily modified CB radio works and take a look under the hood. This is the first part of a series of videos.
Part-1 covers HF and 6 meter RF front end, mixer, first IF and DDS local oscillator.

We used the circuit from the example from the datasheet worked great on HF but needed some linearity correction across the HF band however we did this with the microcontroller. www.mouser.co.uk/datasheet/2/...
DDS Signal Generator converted to a local oscilator / VFO using AD9910 device.
Note: We are overclocking this device with the MCU at frequencies above 400MHz
