This morning at the crack of dawn, after helping my husband feed the goats and chickens, I was out in the garden picking the green beans because we were supposed to get much needed rain around 10:00. Now, I have the huge bowl of green beans in my lap, breaking them while over to my side I have my tablet sitting on a pillow watching your wonderful video. Sure makes things more pleasant. You are sorting out stuff from the table and small shelves and saying you need some place to put some of the stuff. My husband put up shelves on the walls of the spare bedroom, which was my son's. They are so handy for lots of things because they are up high enough that it is out of the way. Mostly, I store extra groceries, large kettles, small appliances, canning supplies, etc. I use a small step ladder to reach some things. I can still see things and get them easily. He used 1x12x10 boards and the metal L brackets under to support them. He even put a board with hanger brackets underneath in a couple of places, and I hang bags of my flower seeds that I gather in the fall, pickle and salsa mixes, etc. Wouldn't know what to do without them now. Hope you are feeling better by now. Love you all!

You show so much love for your family and show so much love for your dogs and livestock. Praying your eye feels much better soon. I hear you about seeing the doctor more than you are use to. We bought a homestead a year ago and I have been to the doctor in these last twelve months more than I have been to the doctor in the last ten years. I was told more exercise on the land can actually bring out unknown weaknesses in the body. Lucky me.

I also use to cook my dogs food. I'm from Australia and use minced kangaroo meat as it is very lean along with a mix of root veg, spinach and oats. Ellie, my dog, was almost 17 yrs old when she passed and other than when she was neutered had never been to the vet in her life.

I know dog food is expensive but it is concentrated nutrition dogs need to be healthy just do not feed any with corn in it unless you need to fatten up your dog.
