Saturday, 01 August 2020, was the date of this year's editions of the 'Schnitzel Fly-In' at Leer-Papenburg Airport (EDWF), which I and pilot friend Christiaan Beers visited. The title of this event is pretty self-explanatory? :) See full description for more information...
The combination of schnitzels and aircraft wasn't the only reason I decided to fly to Leer-Papenburg (ICAO code: EDWF). Because I did my initial flight training at NOWAS, a flight school situated on that airport, and because I recently earned my Dutch RPL-MLA pilot license, visiting the place I started my flying adventures felt like a nice 'full circle' story. Which I would like to share with you, of course! :)
I wasn't the only Aviation RU-vidr that visited this fly-in. Pilot Frank, a well-known German pilot vlogger was there too, amongst Hirnklempner (Michael and Nico) and CraxGT (Patrick).
All in all it was an awesome day, one where you grow homesick even before the day ends!
