A Lot Of Things Different This is a new series of the many country family reunions you can get at www.cfrvideos.com/ What a wonderful company to buy from AAA+++
My God... I came here to hear John Conlee sing a song I hadn't heard before. Now I am sitting here with tears rolling down my cheeks questioning my life, thinking about what I would have done different. What a powerful song. I'm thinking about all the people who aren't here anymore... how I would have told them every single day how much I loved them. Wow... to have that chance would just mean everything. I think I am going to call my dad today...
Songs like this...performed like this...actually helped formulate how I would think and react in relationships...what gifts we can focus on should we choose to

When I read your comment, I went to your profile. You are so young. You can make it all better. But, you got the song. That, is what country music is about. I had the great pleasure of opening for Mr Bill Anderson on a tour back in the late 70' s early 80' s. He invited me to the Grand Ole Opry where I performed 17 times. This man was a magic man. The way he treated people with respect was, just amazing. He respected his fans. They just weren t a ticket holder. He remembered names. God. A Man
"If I'd known that was gonna be our last dance together......" That line brings tears to my eyes every time. I probably sound like an old fool, but due to medical issues it's been over 20 years since I was able to stand up for more than a few seconds. My wife of 50 years now and I used to go out on Friday or Saturday nights for drinks & dancing; and although I can't remember when the last time we did was I can honestly say - if I'd known that was gonna be our last dance together, I'd a told that band to play on...and on....and on...

This man has a very distinct way of singing. The way he sings can make you feel like you were there when he was telling the story of the song. He is really great. He never lost his touch. This song reaches right to my heart.
I think that this song sends a message that life is very precious and goes by very quickly. I think that this song is a reminder to us all to enjoy life to the fullest and to love and appreciate everything and everyone in your life
John Conley is a Country legend! Love every song he sings. He's definitely one of my all time favorites. He could sing a song about taking trash out and it would be a hit.
When that guitar starts playing in the beginning, it's already peeling back the layers of your heart like an onion and exposing your true life regrets. And by the end of the song I'm feeling a good ol fashioned Alter Call.
OMGod, above,,,I can't get thru, this song,,,ever, without needin' to Pray! God Bless Us All, we need kinder, Now more then ever. I don't have youth, and Time isn't waitin'!! Love John Conlee.... bk
I think that this song can make any person's eyes water. I noticed how Bill Anderson's eyes appeared to be watering. This song still makes my eyes water too. I think that this song puts a strong emphasis on how precious life is and how fast life goes by. Just hearing this song brings back all of the pleasant memories of my dad and other relatives who have passed away. I think that this song reaches right down to a person's heart. It still reaches down to my heart every time I hear this song. It is really great
What a beautiful song and Since I lost my husband almost 10 year's ago I now know that given the chance I would have done a lot of thing's different. I love and Miss You Tsgt. Herman L. Jones. God Rest Your Soul. Just saying.
Folks, if you don't recognize this as a great performance of this song, it's sad. It will bring a tear to your eye if you look back over your life and think about things you could have done.
Yes, very powerful song and I hope you called your dad. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer (caught early thank God). We never know when it will be our time, or those we love will be taken from us. I still have both my parents, but know they are elderly and that time is so very precious now. They know how much I love them, but I still tell them! I've always loved John Conlee's deep, rich voice and his ability to convey such emotion and truth. He hit this song out of the park!
Thanks so much,I sincerely appreciate the endless love and support.May God bless your family,I'd love to add you on my fangroup..Hope to hear from you.
I'm 38 yrs old, married with two children and almost 3 yrs ago now we devastated to find out that I had cancer. I've since beat that deadly disease but that made me do a lot of things different. I just found this tune last month and I play it a lot now. Thank you to the writer of this song. Tearfully I say that

My Dad n I have pictures with him n I got a big hug. .....he is sooo humble. .....was very obvious that he's. ...saved by the blood of Jesus. ...that makes me love him even more........he's continuing to spread the love of Jesus, through his music. ....God bless you John. ....♡
It wasn't around back when John was on the radio, this is Whispering Bill's song, funny how I missed it when hearing Cheney singing it on the radio, great song.
Thanks so Much,I sincerely appreciate the endless love and support am overwhelmed .May God bless your Family, I'd love to add you on my Fangroup..Hope to hear from you.
Bill Anderson is somebody whose songs you ought to know, no matter what kind of music you're into. He has cross-cultural appeal, like Dolly or Johnny Cash or Ray Charles. And some mighty fine songs.
John Conlee said he found the song "captivating" and I think he hit the nail right on the head with his description. I loved this song and thanks for posting it! God Bless, Jeff :-)
Was fortunate enough to have been at a john conlee show last weekend in tx He did this song and let me just say the reaction in this video is the exact same one we had in the audience. A dream came true for a country boy from England last week God bless you John
I had the privilege of hearing John perform this song the other night in Iowa. This was the first time I had ever heard this song and I started to get a little choked up about half way through. I looked around the audience and seen that most everyone else felt the same way. By the time the song ended I don't think there was a dry eye in the entire theater. It was one of those moments where you really had to be there to understand. I don't think anyone could perform this song better than John Conlee. A great memory was made that night for sure.
Hello bill you asked how long I liked country music Well. All my life really I’m 84 years. Old born in 1937 when I was little I remember my dad playing all the country music. Songs I got hooked right away but sometimes the sad lyrics made me cry. Because little as I was I knew that was part of what life was really all about. So. Long live country music. I’ll always be your fan. Blessings to you.
John Conlee is one of the best country singers I've ever f****** seen too bad you never hear any of his songs on the radio anymore he really puts his own touch to it
I had the honor of hearing John perform this a couple of years ago at the Red River Valley Fair in Paris Texas. I so enjoyed his show and loved meeting him. A wonderful man.
I can hear Whispering Bill Anderson through John Conlee. First time I've ever heard this song. Always thinking about what I could do different. God bless both of those great musicians
I love everything John ever sang. He has that unique voice that sets him apart, and when he always sang of all the respect he had for his lady I wanted to marry him myself. I don't know if he is still with her,, if she passed or what, but it has always been so beautiful no matter how it went through the years after his songs. I really miss his songs he quite us out here way too early, but thanks to You Tube you can still enjoy watching him and hearing his great voice and words. Thanks so much John.
Here’s my story .........as John Conley said: I was captivated ....first time I heard this song .I was at the end of a New Year’s Eve show. As the boys were packing up gear, this came on the jukebox. Kenny Chesney was singing it.....I froze in my tracks ......never heard a song that grabbed my attention. I ordered a drink ,and played it ..on and on and on.........true story.......
how one can not respect the writer and singer of this marvelous song for the future of up and coming future artists like Alexy Halstensgard who will do the music industry a lot of good.
workin4me Yesss he does, seen him last night n. ...um. ..there's no words to explain what I felt. ...I went with my Dad, my best friend n we both teared up. ....Soo thankful that I got to go see him with my Dad. .......more than I can say. ...♡
Outstanding..... Absolute perfection. You know when a song is perfection when ever single time you listen to it you cry till you can't see for hours. I've listened to this cover by John so many times and every time I cry HARD.
Very few country artists can paint a picture with words, style and timing like John Conlee. He played this song at the Newberry Opera House in SC recently. Memories are the sweetest pain. Thanks to Bill Anderson for writing this sad but true song about one's life. Cam
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to this, playing it now. Sometimes four or five times straight. John Conlee does a beautiful job on a beautiful song pinned by Bill Anderson What a talent to have written all the wonderful songs he has. Also a true talent with his voice. All around wonderful. Mr. Anderson is coming to Alabama very soon and I pray I can get there. Can’t beat True Traditional Country Music Thanks for keeping it real
This speaks volumes about what REAL country music is..... truly is. If this doesn't make you look back over your life..... I don't know what will.... Beyond beautiful...
When I deployed during the war I remember my family wishing they had said more tome when I left. Just like this song they regretted not saying more to me
I am so sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with breast cancer, thank God they caught it early. I know first hand how terrifying that is. My wife was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2009. After that was taken care of they found pollups on her thyroid so she needed a second surgery. She is fine now and her surgeries went very well and all she has now is a scar. BUT, when we heard the word "cancer" I nearly fell to my knee's. It made me realize just how much I loved her, and how fragile life is
Seen him n concert yesterday. .....n this song brought me n my Dad to tears. ....I'll always cherish this song, this concert with my Dad. .......I can't say enough. .....♡
He will be 73 on August 11 2019. I saw him at Ray Stevens CabaRAY in Nashville last night (6/19/19) and his voice is still strong. He sang 7 songs at the dinner theater. We are all in the TV Show Larry's Country Diner on RFDTV. Well done John Connely.
Oh my God... How this pulls at my heart... and brings up memories of times I wish I could change... People I wish I could talk with, just one more time, and tell them how sorry I am for what I did to them... Oh the heart aches of 76 years of stupidity... The things that matter in this life... they aren't stuff... It's people...It's loving relationships... You can't teach it... It lives deep down inside your heart... God put it there, but you have to listen to God... Not with your ears, but with that same heart... One of the realities of life is that we aren't promised the next heartbeat... Don't waste the heartbeats you have left... Fix it if can... and apologies if you're able... But don't you dare tell me it doesn't matter... It matters... I've got 76 years of "it matters"...
i wish i could go back and do things over , lost love lost friends lost lives have to bear it in my heart. as it breaks thinking back on all of the things i should of done different
I know exactly what you're feeling, and where you are coming from, because I've had the exact same circumstances happen to me way back as far as 1977, and it still hits home to this day!
Thanks so much,I sincerely appreciate the endless love and support.May God bless your family,I'd love to add you on my fangroup..Hope to hear from you.
the past is an eye opener especially when someone comes along and sings it out to us in the present and future. what a powerful song and singer , glad I got to hear it today!
You just can t find that feeling in a rap song now can you? Talk about truth in music. COUNTRY I guess says it best. I had the pleasure of touring 6 show dates with Mr Anderson. He was the man that brought me to the Opry to perform. He was a pure soul. i watched him each show. When he performed this song, after the 2nd time, I just went to have another drink. Couldn t listen to it. Too True. He loved his fans. respected and had time for them. Great singer, song writer. But, A Great Person.
This song just tears me apart EVERY SINGLE TIME I HEAR IT. I love it so much, though, and John's way of singing it somehow makes it perfect. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. Ever seen a 7 ft tall 300+ lb man with a shaved head and beard down to his chest cry before?
