Oooh! I'd love to see the applied border of the pokemon blanket like a ball - white on one half, red on the other, and short black sections in the middle. Edit to answer the chores question: I can wipe down surfaces (countertops, mirrors, showers, etc) for DAYS but I will leave a pile of clean laundry for 3 days to avoid folding it
I love, love, love laundry. I find the act of sorting clothes really satisfying and there’s nothing like the smell of clean clothes. I absolutely loathe doing dishes and I tolerate cleaning out the refrigerator.
So lovely to spend Saturday morning watching y’all-before I go to work and deal with the hoards. 🤦♀️ Even though it’s my profession I still LOVE to cook. I really detest vacuuming 🤮
I love cleaning my house, I think it makes knitting more satisfying. The thing I hate is cleaning the fridge and oven, don't know why I just avoid it like the plague. Love your podcast, wish I lived near the shop. Sandy
I LOVE my Makers and Mini Backpacks - they are often my everyday bag. Size depends on what I need to bring with me. I really do like ironing and folding laundry. I prefer 😉 not to clean up after cooking.
Hi Ladies, i love doing the dishes. I hate doing laundry because my husband complains endlessly about how i do it - so consequently i stopped about 20 years ago and he has done the laundry every since... that will teach him :)
I really don’t mind doing household chores. If I had to pick, I really don’t love to do dishes. I really enjoy cooking, baking and organizing. Thank you for your informative podcast! I love how you explain things (opinion section). It is very helpful for those of us who are newer to knitting. THANK YOU! ❤
Hi Kathleen, Jen and Amanda, Thanks for another inspiring episode! Today's question = I do not like moping the kitchen floor and love ironing! Happy Knitting 🧶!
Dusting is the worst. I enjoy cooking and laundry. A few years my husband bought o robot vacuum and I love it. What a fun episode. Thank you. Btw love the backpack
I love all of your outfits you are wearing. This question is great. I love cooking but more so o the weekends when I have more time and I absolutely loathe every part of doing laundry.
I absolutely hate washing the dishes, and I love cooking (never anything from a box or can in my house). But what really gives me that "zen moment" is a spotless bathroom.😆 Thanks for the fun! @lamanchaknitter
I hate cleaning the bathtub. It’s just so awkward and I always end up spraying myself with the shower head. 😅 I don’t “love” any cleaning but washing dishes is probably the least hated chore. Thank for a great episode.
I love taking the garbage down to the curb. It is so peaceful. I don't like dusting. I don't pay my kids for chores. They are expected to help keep the house tidy and care for our whole living space. Also, I love food and cooking. I work on teaching my boys to cook. My 10 yr is ok with baking but my just turned 15 yr old is good at home made foccasia, grilling and makes a lovely holiday charcuterie board.
The task I hate the MOST is taking out the garbage. This takes me a while, as I have many boxes to collapse or cut apart (for the recycling) and have to deal with the TINIEST garbage bin provided by the city. (We have 3 bins -- recycling, compost, and landfill. You can upsize the recycling and compost bins for free, but if you upsize the landfill bin they really charge you.) It takes me days to get the garbage sorted and dealt with. I'm older with a weak back and. have to do a bit at a time. My most tolerated task would be filling, running, and emptying the dishwasher. I love having clean mugs and dishware!
I love cooking and experimenting with different foods. I absolutely hate folding laundry and will often leave clean unfolded laundry in a basket or even in the chair next to my bed.
I love laundry and ironing ❤ I don’t mind cooking- simple on weeknights with leftovers and more involved on weekends but detest meal planning and grocery shopping.
Two most hated jobs are washing dishes and folding laundry. They are never ending. We are a cooking family. Love cooking! I have four boys and all of them cook and so does my husband. His specialty is BBQ. But I love vacuuming and making lines in the carpet. It’s like my own little zen garden. Happy Valentine’s Day!❤
I enjoy folding clothes, but not putting them away or anything to do with organizing even though I love to have everything in order; just wish someone else would do it for me 😂 Thanks for another fun podcast
Washing dishes is my favorite chore..my hands would disagree! My least favorite chore is cleaning the tub/shower! Love the knitting tips. Amanda's cardigan is beautiful!
I enjoy the satisfaction I gain from most clearning tasks especially enjoy doing dishes. One task I would readily give up/dislike is cleaning the bathroom. Thanks for another great episode and covering a wide range of topics 😊
I love successfully stacking the dishwasher, and I'm hating all the laundry. lol! Looking forward to test knitting the vest, Amanda! I loved all the laughter and commentary on kids, etc. - All the best, Kimberly
I got behind on my podcast watching, I was excited to hear I won last weeks prize. Always a pleasure watching you ladies and seeing what you are working on.
I love a fresh vacuumed carpets, just creating all the neat lines is so satisfying. But mopping floors and dusting are the worst for me. I would rather clean bathrooms than mop and dust!😂😂😂😂 And those Della Q bags are amazing. All of them!
Thank you for all the lovely knits. It's so inspiring to a beginner knitter. I hope to come visit during the summer months. Thanks for the Vogue Knitting update. One most hated job...cleaning the oven- the auto clean doesnt clean 100% and I hate the oven cleaner spray smell. Love rolling the towels into neat bundles, both bath towels and kitchen towels when they are warm from the dryer. Love that they look so neat. Happy Valentines Day!
Such a great podcast. I was one of those people who would abandon a project if I didn’t get gauge. Thanks for the tips. I love washing dishes but hate cleaning the bathroom.
what an interesting conversation. I have been knitting since i was a kid and i wouldn't know how to change the way i knit my guage without making a huge mess and stressing myself out.
I always love that you all actually knit while you talk... I am so mesmerized by the knitting, I love it!!! I secretly love putting clean sheets on the bed!!! I loathe washing windows... it is just a frustrating process... I have finished my first knitted dishcloth, it is not perfect, but I am not surprised or upset with it!!! I'm learning to knit my first sock, I realize I am too tight with some of my stitches, it seems in the beginning and the end... the middle of the round is looser, so we shall see what this sock will look like!
Love going the laundry and cooking! The Downy scent beads have such a comforting smell! I hate mopping the floors. It just feels like a never-ending task that can't necessarily be scheduled. 😢
Wahoo I live in Canada ! I have ordered from you a couple times an had my order delivered to the US as we are only 45 minutes from the border. Looking forwarded to be able to have shipped to my home
Love your podcast! Can't wait for Amanda's vest pattern! I hate cooking - it always puts me in such a grumpy mood. I don't mind doing laundry - washing, folding, and ironing 😊
Kathleen your sweater is fabulous! It looks amazing in the video I can only imagine what it looks like in person! Love you gals! Wish I lived closer! Thanks for another fun podcast! ❤👏🏻🧶
I like cleaning the kitchen and i loathe dusting. Your podcast was excellent. I get such good ideas from you, and enjoy hearing about your experiences.. Kathleen in Wisconsin
I secretly love: cleaning the bathroom. It's satisfying to make it sparkly. I hate: laundry- everything about it. This might be because we have to go to the laundromat
I just lea.rned Tunisian crochet, but was a dumby and decided my first proper project should be a 3 color baby blanket. I made a practice swatch before and dove on in. I just need to finish the border and weave in like 180 ends now
I love to maintain my hot tub, cuz I love my hot tub. I hate to clean up after I cook. I went to cooking school 40 years ago and there was staff that cleaned up after us and so I use all the dishes and many spoons for tasting. I confess, I am the worst, but it’s most often me that pays the price and cleans up after myself🤦🏻♀️.
On the subject of housework, I love to do laundry because I hang my clothes out on the clothesline to dry, summer and winter. The thing I don't enjoy is washing dishes.
I hate doing dishes and would trade absolutely any other chore for them (Decades ago I would trade my mom doing the litter box for doing dishes). I enjoy polishing wood furniture. I have a Maker's Backpack in Mustard and cannot recommend it highly enough. I use it aaaallll the time as my daily carry.
I love cooking, especially soups. I hate cleaning bathrooms (showers, sinks, toilets, ughhhh). But I appreciate a clean bathroom, so a cleaning I will go.
I don’t mind washing dishes, loading and unloading dishwasher. I don’t like to vacuum. I like to see accomplishments and I don’t see that when I vacuum.
I run my family’s small business in Arkansas and shipping internationally is a nightmare! Canada does ok, but if we ship anywhere in Europe, it takes our customers months to receive their package 😢
I enjoy cooking but I don’t like laundry. I’ve been batch cooking for years so I’m all about leftovers. I really only have time to cook and then eat the food on the weekend. As my son gets older (he’s 2), that will change and I’ll shift to cooking dinner during the week. I’ve got laundry down to once a month and my partner does laundry the other week(s).
Laundry is a two-sided coin in this household. I love the satisfaction of an empty linen bin. My husband, however, doesn't like the way I fold clothes. So I tell him to do his own. Inevitably that means the nice clean clothes of his hang around for weeks. Rude. Doing the floors is always fun - the rooms look so big afterward. Cleaning the bathroom has its own special rule: if you clean it, you get to have the first shower in the freshly cleaned bathroom. Too bad that it's usually me that cleans the bathroom...
Love to vacuum but hate to dust! I have a question about last episode and the discussion you had about spinning out excess water from blocked projects in order to dry them faster. Do you spin garments that contain mohair or are made out of non super wash yarn? I’m always afraid they will felt. Thanks!
I definitely spin the water out of non-superwash projects - I just fold them carefully and use the gentle spin cycle on my washer. I check them every couple of minutes or so, but haven't had a problem. I don't think the centrifugal force of a washer is the same as agitation that will cause felting. ~K🧶
I love folding clothes and I hate cooking. I tolerate it because I cook for my family but I really would rather not cook. Folding is my happy place though.
Thank you for being so inspiring. Always trying and learning great motto! I did not catch the name of the Tunisian crochet hooks set. Did anyone catch it and can provide it?
