dude plssss make a tutorial, you're literally the only one on youtube using caardinal with fl studio. btw thanks for this video, i had no idea this plugin existed till i watched this, i got into vcv last year but kinda dumped it cause i didnt like going back nd forth between vcv nd fl but now i dnt have that problm anymore i wanna give it a shot again lool
Hey, Venus Theory has a basic (and even not so basic) tutorial on Cardinal up, that won't teach you to create these particular things but will show you your way around. FL Studio or Bitwig - literally doesn't matter in this case so far.
@@Vospi yeah i've seen it, it was good for basics but not that great especially for flstudio users, i mean if i wasnt familiar with routing channels or whatever its called, i wouldnt have been able to get it to play synths in flstudio. plus the thing doesnt seem to shutup when the fl is on stop loool. i just think there is more even o the basic side that can be show and like i said, you're the only one on here using it ith fstudio. Great work making this btw hope u make more, cheers
@@Vospi Meh. You're better. Venus always skips a lot of detail in his 'instructional videos' and glosses over things as if he really doesn't want you to learn. He's more like a product pusher. We need you!
@@afrosymphony8207 "plus the thing doesnt seem to shutup when the fl is on stop loool" that's how Cardinal is, it doesn't stop when the playhead is on stop. Would depend on the DAW if it's still running when the software is not focused (Reaper shuts it up as long as the project is not actively playing). If you're using the official VCV plugin I'm not sure how it'd behave, though.
cardinal modular synthesizer native standalone does not appear to work with pipewire on linux. no audio sound source is exposed to the system mixer. this is not great.
I didn't try it yet, but if I discover anything I'll come back to you, I've installed Debian so maybe I'll mess with it once I've done with my business. :)
@@Vospi i think the developers think of it as more of a plugin than a standalone. that being said, i tried it again recently and the standalone was working. it's too bad that there's no selector for the audio device. i think it's because they only have one version and the standalone is essentially a wrapped plugin. it falls on pipewire/jack or the OS setup to be able to detect if cardinal is passing an audio signal or not. understandable.
