Being a Dad is one of the greatest joys I get to experience here on this earth (second only to being married to my wife Erin Rockefeller Schmaltz). It has been such a means of growth and sanctification in my life, like really nothing else has. It keeps me humble (cause I goof up often!) and in touch with my need for wisdom and strength (and I need a lot of it!). Graciously, God doesn’t fail to provide.
Aiden, Camryn, Ethan, Lennon...I’m so thankful to God for giving each of you to Mom and me. I’ve never known a love like the love I have for each of you. (Cam asked me if I’d sing this song “Love Like This” by Ben Rector with her for Fathers Day)
And Happy Fathers Day to all you other, fellow Dad’s out there! June 21, 2020

My late wife and I had six children (3 boys and 3 girls) only two of them are still in my life, the others have not been in contact with me since their mum died in 2008. I have tried to reconnect, but they just don't want to, so I am focussing my attention on the two I have with me. Youngest son and eldest daughter......I wish that I could play the piano as good as this devoted dad and sing as good too, then I could sit with my daughter and sing it to her....but seeing this video just melted my heart and I was smiling so much, but also feeling emotional at the bond they share. There is no stronger bong (IMHO) as that of a dad and daughter...

Oh Paul, I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. I am follower of Christ and attribute much of the blessings of my life to the undeserved grace of Jesus in my life. I will be praying for you, both that you'll get many future moments of sweetness with you daughters who are currently present in your life, as well as future reconciliation with your other children. 🙏🏻
