Please never use an old dirty dusty mattress, she said it has holes in it. That means there’s bugs inside. I understand it saved her money but it’s just a gross old mattress. Spend the money and buy a new more comfortable mattress.
I agree. Even if there is no money for a nee mattress, because most of them are expensive, if it was me I would still buy a simple air mattress. It would be much more hygenic.
I admire her hard work! But as a ruined American, I’m cringing over that mattress😳😬 Maybe there’s not a bed bug problem there, though. She took such care with everything but the painting of the furniture and color choices. I’m wondering if she may be taking advantage of left over paint and is planning on replacing some of the upcycled furniture later. I’ve had to do this many times over years of scraping by. It’s pretty rewarding 😃I gotta hand it to her, she really did a huge amount of work to get that place livable!
God bless her now and in future endeavors I don’t like a used mattress either but this gal knows it’s temporary pain and Jesus will give her a eternal life of pleasure! Same as he gave the abilities on earth !!! We’re all soo blessed if we could look and SEE❤🎉
Her color choices are driving me nuts lol and the mattress i mean doesnt anyone told her if theres holes theres bed bugs or something? I get it that mattresses are expensive but there are not expensive ones that are also good.
@@TinThompson I’d have not used the mattress if it were me and I also have a very different aesthetic than her. But I don’t know her circumstances and therefore am deciding that she is making the most of what she can at the moment and will not judge. I know in certain places in the world finding resources are more difficult than I could ever imagine.
To all those being so negative...you can tell some have never been without.. good job on doing for yourself... I preferred the wardrobe in wood ..but it's not my home... Good work ethic to take on such a rough job. Can't wait to see more of this... It is so hard to tell which videos go together. I love to see the end results of such work..
that's untrue! I and I am sure plenty of others here have done without and have worked hard to make things nice. my complaint is that she's always taking the fast easy way, rather than do it right! no painting nice furniture garish colors! sand it and refinish it! no nailing fabric into wood! use hardware to affix a curtain rod and then sew channels into the fabric! No painting walls without cleaning, sanding and taping them off first! it's not being hypercritical! it's just common sense!

@@unicornmorel405 no. No guilty conscience here. You posted your comment generally, but to me specifically and I responded. Not out of guilt, but out of some small level of outrage. A comment that notes that this channel focuses on fast and easy rather than on the right way to do things is just reasonable. If anything this channel should not emphasize slip-shod work-arounds, but on doing things with care following the examples of people who have learned and taught how to do things well. This may reflect cultural mores, I don't know. In the US, most people want to do things well, not just "good enough".
As far as the mattress, the best post statement is, why not cover it. She has some funds to get flooring and paint. Why not a airtight coveting for safety and cleanliness. I'm halfway in this video. Something else ( OCD kicking in) what's with the paint job. If she takes a bit more patience and paint it carefully, it would really look nice. All the color in all. Let's see the rest. Not to be rude I love that she reused old things except for the old mattress since it could be cover in germs, dust and fleas and can give of bad smell. she could've used an inflatable mattress their actually pretty cheap, but that's just my opinion.

I'm not even going to comment about the mattress because everyone who commented on it had the same concerns as I do; however, I'm so bothered that the painting was done so haphazardly: to the walls, the door, the windows, and the furnitures. I'm sorry. Maybe, I'm just a perfectionist but I believe painting everything with more care could've made a whole lot of difference. Sometimes, creating a masterpiece is a matter of paying more attention to details. NONETHELESS, I applaud the effort.
That irked me a bit too. All the missed spots, the paint runs and just not finishing it properly. Maybe it was the look she was going for but I'd have to finish the painting completely if It was me. She did achieve a lot tho and if she is happy with it then I guess it's all good :)
I like this person - how she throws caution to the wind...old mattress with holes in it and possibly has mice or bugs in it? I'll take my chances. Sanding old furniture with no mask ? Why not. Lifting heavy things by yourself ? No problem. Spikey heavy mirror above the bed that sits above your head attached to an ancient wall ? Sure. Not dangerous at all lol
would not be my choice of colours. However IF you want to paint the furniture - then why do it so messy? the blue paint on the bed is dripping down, there a many parts at the door and windows that are not painted properly and the bedside tables look quite undone aswell.. I think if she had taken her time to do the things right, then the place could have turned out nice. Now it looks kinda undone and messy there's no way she's really living there
The job looked rushed and that old filthy mattress did it for me alongside the dusty old side tables and horrible paint job. I agree she did what she had to...but if the end result is to rent that room... it's a solid no for me

Sounds as if you're an entitled person, never having to have done without. Sometimes in life your only choice is to use what's available to you. Given that choice, things aren't in perfect shape but being thankful to have found anything to use is a blessing. Sleeping on an old, ragged mattress is better than sleeping on a cold, hard floor. Every blessing has a silver lining. Be thankful for all of life's blessings.
Your paint choices are quite interesting. Is it only the one room that you rent? Maybe you should clear out that storage area and use it as living space as well?

The mattress definitely has to go… Save your pennies and buy a new one… With the mattress topper that you have already it doesn’t have to be an expensive mattress, just firm. On the plus side, you’ve worked hard to create a lovely space and it shows.
Some people are great full for what we call disgusting I my self has had to sleep on a floor with nothing good for this lady she is making the most of what she has got,which I admire her

Adorable! Great work, a very resourceful hard working woman. I remember my first apartment, it was a tiny studio that i felt so proud of because i fixed it up in a similar way with thrift furniture and things my family could spare. Ill forever love that place.

Pintar paredes, colocar piso , que deve ter sido caro, forrar a cama com roupas novas e só então mexer com lixadeira, fazendo poeira. OK, so what these guys are doing is creating video snippets with paid actors. cheap as possib;e projects, with the end goal being to show how sweet, hard-working and humble these lovely Chinese people are. Keep in mind, these are aactors. Then the comments below are made by the people actuaally making the stitched together videos. Their RU-vid accounts were all created at the exact same time. So they have a production crew, an IT crew making the videos, and a robot army attacking any negative criticism, in hopes of achieving a propaganda tool on youtube geared towards non TV viewers. Just be aware of what you are consuming.
You did a great job. What a hard working young lady!! Taking the time and the care and initiative to make over left behind things into lovely things that you could use in your home. You turned a simple little space into something bright and cheerful and special. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Todo muy bonito y bien trabajado, pero ese colchon, Yo lo tiraría a la basura. Al estar tan usado, tiene ácaros y sudorees de otras personas. Muy mál tener qu usar ese colchon 😖
IF she is living there, it can only really be a bedroom since there is no apparent electricity, running water, bathroom facilities (unless that’s what the armoire is for…JK), or cooking facilities. She would always have a wet floor and bug problem if she started with one and didn’t figure out a way of keeping the area permanently dry. Plus, the crappy painting jobs aside, she can’t even open the right side of the armoire at all where she placed it! No, this is entertaining to see a room transformed, but I doubt this is a room that will be lived in.
It's a video mill. I remember the first time I saw one of these videos and there was no big reveal at the end, you know? No before and then after. I thought, "well they're amateurs, they'll get better.". But they didn't! All their videos are the same. 1. They title them with all the background info you'll get.stuff like "poor single girls rents $100/year apartment", or "heart-broken divorced man fixes up parents' country house.". Then they find a terrible piece of rubble somewhere and fill it with trash. So the major part of the video is cleaning.". To Western eyes. This is just weird. That these places to live would be filled with so much trash. But they are capitalizing on the fact that people love to see improved impressions from something as simple as sweeping the floor. 3. They paint the walls (and occasionally plaster over cracked walls), always in colors that will go together (an autumnal palette for the most part), and they do the worst painting job ever! They don't wash walls, tape at margins. They just slap the paint on and it then requires larger angle shots because they can no longer use up close, as the job is so sloppy. 4. Then they usually "remodel" some furniture. Usually by PAINTING WOOD"!!! They staple fabric directly into wood. Use gross filthy mattresses, and just in general do a terrible job. Then they stitch a whole bunch of videos together and call it good. The owners of the channel keep churning out videos according to this formula, and are presumably making a bundle. But the real purpose for all of this is to spread propaganda about the noble Chinese character. I think they have been shocked to discover their usual tofu-construction approach to make these videos is getting criticised. And so you see the viviousback-attacks. I am really glad I don't live in China.

You'd never think people actually fall for stuff like this but thousands are impressed by this fake garbage and barely anyone questions it. Even if you don't know much about china, so much just doesn't add up... how could you not have a million questions

I was thinking the same thing.. my OCD couldnt handle the sloppy paint job and no bed skirt also everything in one corner was making me bananas.. that said I love to see anyone working hard to beautify their home personal soace...

Lol I guess the paint store she went to, they didn’t tell her to use painter’s tape, or a paint pan, different paint brushes, or a drip cloth.. lol. At least she covered it up, sort of… But she did do a lot of the hard work herself. But the person holding the camera didn’t help her with the heavy things before that other guy got there to help her move that armoire.
It looks better than what it did but still not good. There is too many colors choose two that go together and stick with it but man you went way out there. Other than that it’s better I guess.
I enjoyed these 2 videos very much. I hope you do more of them. I remember my first few apartments and how I enjoyed practicing new skills like painting and working with bright colors.

La chica ha hecho lo mejor que ha podido con lo que encontró para lograr una agradable habitación donde vivir. Yo he renovado y reciclado varios muebles, disfruto mucho hacerlo.
Why the sad music? I find it interesting here in the USA, that landlords must present the rental unit in pristine condition, or the potential renter would walk away. Wherever this young lady is from, it seems that the landlord just lets the renters fix the place up. And as for previous tenant’s furniture here in the USA, it is all thrown out unless the unit is rented as furnished, then the landlord must fix the furniture. Now I suspect there is exceptions to this rule, however, I have seen so many of these videos of people in some Asian country fixing their rental home, or fixing the furnishings.
The music she chose or whoever edited this video, it went from old American country music to slow classical music. I think a lot of furniture here in the U.S. is either donated or fixed to use again or thrown out if it’s damaged upon repair. Some people sell their homes with their nice furniture in it because they don’t want to bother moving it all, they have the money to buy brand new furniture. Like a fresh start. I couldn’t do that if I love my furniture.

OMG, they painted the wood on that armoire! we wouldn't do that here in the US, even if it was just a veneer.... it looked like it was solid wood though. why did you do that?
Yes! We have two beautiful antique armoires and we would never paint over it. She also painted green on that main door. Maybe it just needed sanding and then a new stain. She’s young and probably just loves color, apparently green. 😉
In your first video you stated you were furnishing with your own furniture - must have changed your mind. Renovating furniture left behind was rushed/lacked proper prepping and sloppy painting, first bedside drawers were not washed inside with neither properly painted forgetting drawer edges and that nasty mattress with holes filled with living creatures or what else!
I don’t think the videos are real , they use the same wood furniture , colours of paint , and floor for all of the videos. I think this channel just find run down storage units and decorates them for the channel
