A Low Risk Football Trade - Laying Under 1.5 Goals Strategy 

I was thinking about the same but nobody wrote any comment about it. Its very rare to find a match with this odds HT. Especially in top leagues. Anyway the video is good, the strategy is not bad. Lets check the second video James mentioned ;)

This can often be the case.... If the odds have not reached your desired level at HT you could either wait until they do as time decays into the second half or walk away altogether. Not every game will reach the odds at HT... The risk/reward comes down to how confident you are in your data research to then enter the trade say at 50mins, 60 mins or beyond. 👍

Thats a good idea, one goal you'll be able to trade out the overs a lot of the time, if your 0-0 hits it will be okay, only a single late goal would ruin the whole trades.

The trade is until the final whistle. If the goal does not arrive, then we take a loss. This is why it's important to stick to a staking system and the odds range to leg in.

Did you check the pre match data that over 1.5 goals was a 90% chance and over 2.5 goals was 60% chance and did you check the game had a minimum of 3 shots on target in the FH? You will not win every match so should never use more than 3% of your bank on any 1 trade.

@@stupot1952 Because you need to 2 goals to win that market. Upon a goal clear your liability or exit for a profit straight after the goal.

It's entirely up to you, you can cash out for the loss or let it run which is what I usually do. For the low amounts of liability and the small amount you would get back at the 80th minute you may as well let it run. I've had 85th minute goals and still made a small profit or broke even.

Whether you're Backing or Laying, to make the same amount of profit I would still have to place the same stakes, the liability would be the same. Backing Over 1.5 Or Laying Under 1.5 is exactly the same thing.

A red card would mean no trade.

So the decimal figure in his example went down to 1.1 at this point it can't get any lower. The losses on this bet would be small. You could try and cash out near the end but you may find there is little money in the market at this point

Lol - ignore me, that was late last night and I was looking at the over 0.5 goals market. 🤦‍♂ Obviously, under 0.5 goals is the same as 0-0; so equivalent to your correct score strategy.

You could try and trade out just a few minutes before end of game. Once the odds hit 1.1 they can't go any lower. It might be that there isn't enough money in the market to trade out but the losses are so low anyway

Backing Over 1.5 and Laying Under 1.5 is the same thing. Laying just makes having a set stake easier to understand and manage for most people that's all.

@@TradingTheMarket Thank you for replying. I am having a hard time finding matches that give lay odds at 1.5 in the start of the second half. Most seem to be around 1.8 - 2.00. Would you say it's worth entering with lay odds at 1.8 or wait until it drops?

It's the reverse of backing but this way more money is needed.

Very good points Lucian. Traders don't back, backers don't trade etc. The best way to answer your question is to back test, but if the aim to profit from one goal being scored in the 2nd half then your idea seems more logical.

If you place a back bet of £25 @ 1.4 you get a return of £10 if you win. That's a 2.5 times loss if there is no goal. This strategy reduces the liability so that you are laying at an average of 1.3. If you lay, for the same liability (£25), your lay stake would be £83 (return). This is why doing it this way around is more profitable and puts less money at risk.

Nonetheless all trades are the same, if you are successful you make money. If you are not - you don't. You cant win every trade, no one does, if youre smart you will bet a percentage of your betting bank, if you have a good strategy and you win more than you lose in the long term you will be in profit

For me personally I will take the hit and lose. You could trade out for a slightly smaller loss after 80 mins but the difference will be peanuts. I will have a new video about this coming when the football season starts and show a new staking method that greatly helps this strategy. Have you joined our discord server? @@TradingTheMarket Was there ever a second video on this? The issues I'm having is that statistically there are 23% of games that end 0-0 if they were 0-0 at HT and 77% have a goal. The trade out value of the 77% is breaking about even with the full loss of the 23% 0-0 draws. It needs some tweaking to steal a bit more value, then I can let it run by itself.
