Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 What a weird intro lol MAYA is another song fans were enjoying at live concerts, it doesn't have the same complex structure like Mirror Mirror but is a blast and so groovy anyway. The nasty riffs reminds to "Ice Nine Kills - Rainy Day", which got inspiration from another song that's heavily famous called Awolination - Run, used a lot of time for memes. Maya in Hindu myth is the representation of illusion (which is the theme in this song), some fans find some matrix similarities and i think is pretty accurate. The choreography on this is amazing! There are a few fancams now from their ongoing 2023 World Tour if you guys wanna check out on your free time. I was lucky to saw them live a few weeks ago, but I forgot to record this one, I was too mesmerized and too hyped they brought out this song. One of my favorites on this album.

This song goes hard live. I got to see it three times over the course of their recent shows in Australia, and its really grown on me over time, as it wasn't one that initially grabbed me when I first heard it.

Babymetal just dropped another bombsell performance as well with none other then Bring Me The Horizon no less lol. This has been a dream collaboration for years now. To see them perform Kingslayer Live in Kobe was epic & a dream come true here!! The performance was nothing short of f*** spectacular. Ladies have been on fire this year!! Touring with Sabaton in Europe earlier this year in which they are preparing for a second European tour in about a week i think. Then their Dethklok Co-headliners tour which they just finished. I saw them in Vegas back in early October & was f*** blown away. Live they just hit on another level altogether. Great reaction here though to Maya. Still not the screamer "Metal" was with Tom Morello. Which might be my favorate single now. That should have been on the new album though. 🤘🦊

Ahhhh yes, my favorite song on the album.

I love the grove and for some reason I think this song in particular suits Su-metal really well. 🎤🎶 One of my stronger favorites from the new album. The choreography is also really cool and intense.

Great reaction. The lyric video suggested that was Moa doing the short spoken word part - it sounds like Su to me. I will be very surprised if you don't like every song on the album - but the songs are all different, so there is that slim chance you'll find one that appeals less I suppose.

First time I'm so early!!! I think you guys skipped Divine Attack. It was written by Su-metal herself.

The channel this video is taken from, sometimes makes mistakes on who is singing in some parts. That spoken words part is definitely SU and not Moa ;) For other videos of songs with subtitles i would suggest the channel Babymetaltube! This song doesn not have an official MV, so that might be the reason you didn't find many videos of it. The EDM underlying in the song is soo good! :D

The intro live is awesome, I like it since it builds up before the heaviness

I like how the de-interlace effect turns off with the beat

MAYA BY BABYMETAL: - It is the most BM song on the album, and for me BABYMETAL is uniquely fun. It's heavy as all hell but has a kawaii mischievous that i really love. This song reminds me of "Night Night Burn" from the Metal Galaxy album, and that means its going to absolutely slay live. I love the other songs on the album all in their own right, (some more than others) but MAYA has been the song i've always come back to over and over again. Monochrome is in a close second though. One could say it's a pretty simple song, but a song doesn't have to be complex to be great. The riff is so chunky and addictive and the chorus is one of BM's best IMO. Su's whispers are chills-inducing and the breaks in the bridge were so much fun. In Sanskrit (language originating from India) maya means dream or illusion. In the digital gallery sound clips Maya was titled Illusion. So I think they mean illusion. I have seen a fan cam video of this from the Australia leg of their current tour (Melbourne I believe) and even though it was only fan cam quality the choreography, lead vocals from Suzuka, backup vocals from Moa and Momo along with the Kami Bands pounding instrumentals were amazing. Looking forward to your reactions to the rest of the new releases.
