Von Karma, no! You can't just come back from the dead because you were sponsored by your creator! Thank you to Capcom for actually reaching out and sponsoring this. Please do check out the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection. It was great fun to be back for one night only :)
Him stating everywhere online that it's for "one night only" is a polite and sponsor friendly way of saying that we will never see him play this game again, or any other Ace Attorney game for that matter 😭
Here's something funny: Capcom USA had a livestream on Twitch where the chat could type commands to control the game, like in the Twitch Plays Pokemon, but they've been unable to progress because all they did was have Edgeworth present his badge to Gumshoe. They also presented the badge 20 times in less than an hour.
With how it's established that some of Phoenix's habits rubbed off on Edgeworth, him presenting the prosecutor badge at inappropriate times does become kind of cute
I like to imagine that the devs added the line "However, i prefer to keep it in my pocket." specifically because RT kept shoving it in everyones faces.
@@tsunamie1015it wasn’t specifically because of RT. Tons of players would show the badge at inappropriate times as well, so much so that it became a meme years before RT did his stream.
To quote an age old video regarding this series: MAGICAL LAWYER SUPERPOWER #1 Psychic lie detection MAGICAL LAWYER SUPERPOWER #2 Hypersensitive tell spotting MAGICAL LAWYER SUPERPOWER #3 B A S I C L O G I C
I love the difference when collecting evidence between Phoenix and Edgeworth. Edgeworth picks up a piece of evidence and is immediately like "How does this connect to the murder, does this point towards motive? could this be interlinked with the other piece of evidence I found?" meanwhile Phoenix is like "Oh cool some evidence! sure do wonder how that connects to the case" *moves on with his day*
Alternatively: "God I hate this job. This random clown punched me in the face and gave me a tissue to wipe my bloody nose with." *That napkin plays a pivotal role in the final day of the case*
I love the ace attorney trope (I'd almost call it a running gag), that every time the 'killer's name written in blood' cliche is used, it's ALWAYS a falseflag.
I remember my mom was watching true crime on TV once and there was a case where someone's name was written in blood. My honest to god reaction was "What is this ace attorney bullshit?!" And yes. It was the killer who wrote someone else's name to pin them for the crime.
for sure, if he isn't interested in the game itself he isn't interested, no big deal, but if it's because he doesn't like the pressure from chat, I hope he does play these or any other vetoed games in is off time. fantastic series
@@lunathetrip3241 RT has apparently played The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles in his own time. So I'm guessing if he has any further interest in the series, he's keeping it out of the channel.
I love the part in this game when Edgeworth says “Eureka! It’s Edging Time!” and edged all over the crime scene to solve this murder and find out why Grossberg was in the boathouse. Von Karma would be proud of his prodigy bet he’s already singing karaoke due to this sponsorship!
37:04, In case you didn't understand the logic behind this. Portsman is saying that he wiped the knob after Maggey touched it. After that, Portsman would touch the door knob and leave his prints on it. Later, Buddy would touch the door knob before seeing that it was locked and leave his prints on it. That means only Portsman and Buddy would leave prints on the door knob, but not Maggey. It's not him wiping SPECIFICALLY wiping Maggey's prints and sending the door knob to the chemical factory.
Though for that to make sense Maggey would need to shut and lock the door without touching the door handle, since if he wiped it after she locked the door, he would have to touch it again to leave prints
@@Oshroth Aha, but don't forget! Maggey only PRETENDED to lock the door. She didn't have the master key, so she just pretended to do it with her house key. She may not have touched the door at all
3:22 “okay, let’s do this one last time. My name is Miles Edgeworth. My dad was shot by Von Karma, and for the last year and four months, I’ve been America’s greatest prosecutor.”
RT, you should absolutely play the great ace attorney chronicles. It's set in old britain, so there's lots of room for european jokes, and somehow i think you'll like Herlock Sholmes.
IMO the second great ace attorney game is the very best in the series which sucks cuz i doubt he’ll ever play it or the first for that matter 😭 i totally think rt would love herlock too tho
I know it is probably not happening, but I’d give anything for Dan Karma to play through the rest of this game. Doesn’t even have to be the full collection, just the first one
he said he wont play anything but the original trilogy, unfortunately. i was very excited when i saw this, since i thought he'd actually play through this, but it was just because of a sponsor.
It probably has to do with how insistent everyone who cares about these games is about it, like if he finishes this one as a series then they will be even more insistent about the rest of the series
A small detail that I love is the returning characters still have their iconic poses, just now at a three-quarter POV. (except Edgeworth, who always had a three-quarter POV)
the stark difference between the characters voices in the show and the rt reading is hilarious i remember watching the show and being like wait von karma sounds weird and gumshoe sounded so competent in the show.
As much as I miss RT playing AA and the Von Karma voice, AA is such a time sink especially when you voice the dialogue like RT does. Also after maining Teeth 2 for what, 7 years, and miraculously popping off with the jump to variety, I doubt he wants to spend that much time on one thing again. Can't wait for the other sponsored stream to finally get it's highlight!
@@afinnishfishnet7366 I'm sure there are more sponsors before this on but isn't the Hearthstone stream where Leroy gave RT an extra turn sponsored as well? That's ages ago at this point
@HazeEmry Yeah, he was sponsored to play Hearthstone when it had that heist expansion released. He's done a few sponsorships as far as I remember, I believe he may have been sponsored by Paradox to play stellaris, and I think he was sponsored to play Across the Obelisk.
oh my god this was such a weird coincidence. i was watching an ace attorney lore video and thought "huh, i want to watch rt's playthroughs". lo and behold, uploaded 4 minutes ago
11:59 RT: (Did I just say "Ex-Boyfriend"? She must be rubbing off on me. I'm starting to sound like her...) Safe to say Shenpai did something irrecoverable to Dan xD
9:00 As a gun owner it hurts my soul to see how badly depicted the fired round is. If you were missing the entire primer that means something catastrophic happened.
I rlly hope he plays the rest in his spare time. These were genuinely some of the funniest games in the franchise because Edgeworth is just such a silly character already
Im almost kinda shocked the amount of people that are still demanding a playthrough of this, despite Dan stating its for one night only. I more than agree leaving the OG series where it was is a good stopping point. Chat should be happy we got the trilogy at all, and instead of hounding for more, we should appreciate what we have. Its not about if WE want to see a game, it's about what Dan wants. We should all be respectful of that. Enjoy the series in your own time RT!
I know this!! I understand that its 100% RT's Choice if he plays the rest of AA or AAI/AAI2- i just kept hoping that he would later, and while I enjoy his other content I found him through the AA stuff and I loved his silly voices and jokes for the series. It sucks that he won't finish the series (though again, that is 100% his choice its HIS channel so I understand completely) and this?? This video hurts a lot more than If he just didn't make any videos on it- because its getting hopes up- if he hadn't played it at all on stream I wouldv'e been sad but not this hurt- knowing that He will only play the first case of this game on stream and then leaving it there leaves me feeling all sorts of bad feelings I can't really put to words. Not that Im mad with RT or anything- its his channel and his choices- but it does make me a little sad I wont get to see my fav AA playthrough-er (and a very funny CC otherwise) play AAI2 (my fav game of AA) If that makes sense? I don't want to pressure him, but i am sad that he isn't going to play this series through- and I can see how people in the comments might see this as a sign that he is more open to playing the rest of AA now, since he did play it once again even if it was because of a sponsorship. Anyways- hope u have a wonderful day lol
@@i8chocolatecake995 He was probably contracted to make the vid with the sponsorship. You're rightfully okay to be sad - I enjoyed the playthroughs too! But be happy with what you've got instead of hoping for something that probably won't happen. You can rewatch the trilogy vids as many times as you want, and hear all the funny voices and stupid decisions again and again. Theres always the vods too!
"You'd think after a certain number of people are repeatedly killed within the court of law itself theyd just decide it wasnt worth it" Thats literally the plot of the 4-6 games
Fun fact; a thing I recently learned is the "Lawyer badge" is a real thing. It is absolutely probable that a lawyer has shown someone their badge pin to investigate. I am enthralled by this possibility. Also I lived in japan for over a year and had no idea.
*YES FOR YOU SEE IT WAS I WHO WAS SPONSORED BY A CHEMICAL FACTORY* (adjacent) *COMPANY TO REVIVE THIS DEAD SERIES.* Edit: also its always nice to see Von Karma again.
This is amazing ace attorney is the series that introduced me to rt I am absolutely overjoyed that you came back to this amazing game thanks rt for all the laughs you brought since then.
8:54 that mechanic was brought back in Apollo Justice and proceeded to be discarded come the next game because apparently Capcom doesn't like players having too much fun
Man I miss the Ace attorney series from him. I love how he role plays the characters. I haven’t watched this video yet but I’ll be binging this till the end
ah it's good to be back. i do kinda hope this becomes a series, your og streams got me into ace attorney and aai2 has since become my favorite game in the franchise 💚 but even if you don't stream the rest it was still cool to hear all your character voices again
Thankyou for playing these games and making content that we all enjoy :) I've been watching your videos through secondary school and now I'm leaving for uni, it seems so fast. When I am sad your content cheers me up and I am sure that most of your subscribers feel this way. I may not make it through university but at least I get to watch videos that make me happy :) thankyou
For you see Phoenix Wright it was not I, but CAPCOM THEMSELVES who brought upon you yet another Ace Attorney Adventure! Now that you have played part of it, you must finish the game! For if you don’t, you forfeit your victory to me, Manfred von Karma! Von Karma, no! You can’t force RT to play more of this game! He has to choose to play more himself! Jokes aside, do what’s best for you, Dan. But its cool that actual Capcom approves of your Von Karma voice
What the Hell, I literally just started rewatching your Ace Attourney series again. Was wondering why there was a random private video in the playlist.
2:41 yeah, in Rise from the Ashes in the first game Detective Goodman was murdered at the precinct and then the body was moved to the prosecutor's office.
