I had to watch this for a theater class and at first, I was like, chit! But man! This was so wonderfully done and so different. This troupe really took their own ideas and ran with it. It was so dang good. I got that sense of wanting to cry at the end, you know that sense you get after a really good book or movie.Bravo!!
I absolutely LOVE this version of A Midsummer Night's Dream! So many highlights and so clever, fun, and inventive! Congratulations to all the young actors and actresses who made this production come to life!!!
I applaud the great efforts taken toward creativity, ((despite the puzzling choices-- conceptually? This show is ALLL over the place))… still:: LOVE seeing so many young actors of color with such enthusiasm toward theatre !!
@@nicolepoppy9230 no it's the complete play it is referring to how the trash sound quality can make this hard to listen to some times. Another great one is the bbc midsummer nights dream where it tags by scene
@@nicolepoppy9230 unfortunately most of the time directors will cut out sections or change language to make it sound better to modern sensibilities which just sucks
Wow, this is played so fantastically to a modern tune. This is beautifully done, everyone involved did such a great job. I love this play in all forms, and this entranced me and captivated me to the point I couldnt look away. I felt all the emotions through the poetic words of Shakespeare and fell in love with this play once more. Bravo, Bravo!! Encore!!!!!!
Just found this. At first turned off by not being the classic tale. Then I realized I was smiling. Your version is FUN :) . Loved the singing and dancing and movement . This is a Fun Version !~ Thank You !
This was my first time seeing your rendition of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream. I have always had difficulty Understanding Shakespeare's works (writing's) and I wondered why so many people did various performance of his plays. This is my first semester of college and one of our assignment's is to read his entire play Midsummer's Night dream. I was not looking forward to that at all! I decided perhaps it would help if I saw the play first that's when I turn on RU-vid and the first thing that popped up was your version of this play. I was captivated from start to finish. I'm so happy yours was the first I saw. I can now engage in a conversation with my classmates about this great writer's play .Thank you so much for doing this play. I thoroughly enjoyed all the dancer's, actor's , actresses', and musicians. Now I'm eager to read more of his works and see more of his plays. Your play is still inspiring people! I hope you keep doing plays! Keep the good work up!
@@landonray9909 and @kereybenjy good evening and I'm doing this in 10th, I'm trying to keep the flow going. Also, both of your comments are quite recent.
Angel, I am 74 years old and I like this play too! I hope you enjoy your studies and you can develop a life long interest in Shakespeare. He gets better as we get older and mature. Kind regards!
It’s not that I truly disliked it. But it came out distorted on my device and it was a mix of old English and modern which made me consider weather or not to keep listening to it. To me the mix of both old English and modern just did not sit right with me. I get they want to hybridized and blend the two, but for me it was not what I expected.
