A Minecraft Movie - Honest Trailer Review 

I still don’t get why they are making this live action instead of animated, most of the stuff in the background aren’t even grid like in the actual game and the piglins don’t use iron tools they use golden. Who ever thought this movie should’ve been in live action def don’t know what tf they are doing clearly :/

The minecraft movie’s plot is literally just jumangi movie but with a “Minecraft” reskin

I don’t get why they wouldn’t just go for an animated movie. Minecraft story mode should’ve shown them that people enjoy a fun cartoon adventure, they could’ve even kept the same cast, but instead we can only hope that this is going to be more like the first super Mario movie and not another borderlands movie

this movie is going to flop worse than most media released in the past couple years (Concord, Acolyte, [anything released in conjunction with S.B.I.])

I've admittedly never been a Minecraft fan by any stretch of the imagination but holy hell does that trailer look like a pile of garbage IMO.

3:24 yeah, but the thing is this ISNT how terrain generation in Minecraft is, this just looks like someone sloppply used world edit ong creative mode. Not to mention they didn’t even get the block proportions right on the bottom right it just looks like bad mixel 🤦🏾‍♂️

Yeah I am going to skip it. Live action is still a terrible medium to transfer video games to it. Yes Detective Pikachu made Pokemon look okay but that took the work of a ton of artists to craft realistic designs. Sonic had to be redesigned in order to fit the aesthetic of live action. Minecraft is just so polar opposite of live action. The appeal of Minecraft is that it is pixelated. CGI does not do a good job to give that Minecraft feel. Of course, the creeper and sheep look weird. They lose their aesthetic appeal without the pixel design. Also the Ghast are not bleeding from their eyes but they have lava inside them. This is why they shoot fireballs. I like the idea of a Minecraft Movie. I could imagine a live action and two 2D animation hybrid movie. However, I am tired of CGI slosh. The Mario Movie was just ok. Nothing bad but nothing good. The Minecraft Movie screams bad CGI mixed with "Hello, fellow kids" energy. It is the same story but in the Minecraft world.

Probably not selling enough addons childs anymore thats y they had to come up with a new way to get their parents money

not sure why your chatting about pokemon, the weird creatures that live in a somewhat realistic world ... vs Minecraft, the world where everything is 1sqm by 1sqm, 100% should have been animated, please keep Jason and jack as voice actors, the whole thing is weird when humans are walking around

I was unimpressed by Trans Momoa and Jackass Black. Body positivity obese black woman was also not impressive. The kids seemed superfluous, seemingly there only to make it seem kid centric with no info on on there parts. The game CGI looked pretty good but I can't give it a pass until we can actually see it.

I don't care that it's live action but I do hate what the cast is - Big tall strong man in feminine clothes - Average genderless looking main character child - Big black woman - Another genderless looking child but has a dress on so the writers can use her differently - A very expressive actor with both his weird real life hair and beard to play a character that has no feelings no expressions and no everything else. It's like they sat down at a table and said: Hey gather ideas from RU-vid Bring me actors from every community possible And whoever famous is willing to do the role without paying them too much Literally the big pigmen in armour (pigmen king) was a thing on RU-vid before even the pigmen were a thing on Minecraft. And there was a reason back then as to why the nether is attacking the overworld. In this movie it looks like pigmen and ghasts and everything just exists somehow outside the nether to kill and that's it.

At least we're getting Minecraft Live action. I'd be thankful for that fact itself lol
