Gravity Rush was an absolute blast to play! sad that I sold my vita off to gamestop to buy my switch back in 2018. but I'm so happy that my new Vita came in the mail today
@KrissyLilSheep brilliant game. Aloy is pretty much the main female in Sony's lineup now, but Kat is the first person my mind jumps to. I'd love a Gravity Rush 2 60fps patch and then a sequel on PS5. It's so cool you've got a Vita in 2024. These devices keep getting better.
BIOHAZARD REVELATIONS 2 LBP VITA Minecraft Terraria YS games Jak series (terrible performance even when overclocked) Ratchet Games Tearaway Batman Lego games There's actually soo many good games, imagine if Sony kept supporting it.
I personally think that Gravity Rush is the ultimate game that represents the Vita, but it's understandable why most people think Persona 4 Golden is. I love that with the Vita you can experience every single Final Fantasy game from FF1 to FFX2 alongside some of the great spinoffs like FF Tactics.
I have all the arcade games from the mid to late 80s up through the 90s in retro arch on my Vita plus Sega CD, Sega, 32X and then everything else from Game Boy to Sega genesis, super Nintendo, Game Boy, advance, Neo, Geo, etc… I was surprised with how well it runs Sega, CD and doom 32X runs flawlessly !!! It’s a really fun version of doom
Do you have a link to a photo album of every page of your vita? Not gonna lie man I'd be really appreciative cause I just got a Vita & your setup seems like a very nice way to make sure most stuff is covered!
GBA and SNES on a modded 3ds was way better than on Vita through retroarch last I tried it. In my experience, outside of ps1 and psp games, emulation performance was pretty bad overall. To be fair though, this was 2 or 3 years ago and has probably gotten way better since then and the Vita's still a great little handheld. So many great visual novels on the thing for those who are into that.
I can attest that the performance of emulators on the vita is pretty amazing in 2024. Muuch better than 3 years ago. I use it for gb, gba, gbc, nes, and snes. Anything newer than snes will struggle. Good news though, bc ps1 games arent emulated since they're ran on official hardware,
@@GametimeUKyo definitely steins;gate. Best on the system imo. From there you also get the sequel steins;gate 0 and another in the series chaos;child. It’s an amazing series that are loosely connected. Oh yeah, lots of people also love the Muv-Luv games and the house in Fata Morgana but I couldn’t get into Fata Morgana and beat muv-luv and appreciate its impact, but wasn’t crazy about it. Still worth checking out.
@@A_d_e_k I’m going to have to update my RetroArch and give it another go. I know I was able to do NES fine which obviously makes sense, but it struggling on gba performance which is what I wanted. Good to hear it’s gotten better since the early days!
Nice video! Would you be able to make a list of the games you have in your vita? Or at least some of the best ones in your opinion? I'm thinking about modding my Vita and would love some recommendations instead of downloading one or two games I know and that's it xD
What a great video! I was just wondering af few things before i buy one myself. With the vita games you download using this method, are you still able to go online and play online multiplayer? Also with the vita games can you still earn thropies like normaal? Im a thropy hunter so if i still would be able to get trophies that would be great!
There are many videos like mine on RU-vid regarding the vita so I appreciate you checking it out. Get one and join the club. Both of my Vita's are the Oled model. They hold up well even today. If you end up buying one please drop a comment and let me know if the purchase was worth it.
Why some of the games in The beggining(shovel knight and Killzone) are so laggy, slow and have framedrops? I've seen other videos and they weren't like that at all, maybe it's a problem with your PS Vita, otherwise I wouldn't know
This is my first time editing so I think I messed up a few of the shots. That explains the framedrops. However, Killzone doesn't hold a steady 30fps through the whole campaign, but its certainly a lot better than in my footage. Hope that helps. :)
I also like super Mario 64 the best on the Vita!! I have the new port on my PlayStation Vita and I got the one that they did for the new 3DS and the vita one is just better!! It plays better, and I like the way the C-stick on the right stick controls the camera better !!
@@GametimeUKyo oh, it’s good also- The sensitivity in the movement on the 3DS is better !! But that’s the only thing I noticed that was better.. aside from the text boxes. When the character is speaking to you, it is clearer on the 3DS, despite the blurry screen.. it doesn’t have the little artifacts in the writing?! But I also do not get online on either one of my modded vitas on my main account … too many platinums!
I did the same thing... I have my OLED model I bought Day 1... and that is attached with my account and I bought a separate Vita to mod and use a completely new account to play around on. I also don't want any chance of losing my original account.
I can't imagine buying a Vita in 2024. I loved my Vita when I had it but I can emulate the Vita on modern handhelds. If a game I like doesn't work I have patience. Plus all those things you did on this I can do on other handhelds.
As a Steam Deck user for over a year now, playing Vita or PSP games feels a lot more authentic on the Vita rather than the oversized Steam Deck. Can’t put my finger on it, but if I can, I would much rather play handheld dedicated games on their original hardware and as indented. The same goes for the Nintendo line of handhelds. The Steam Deck is better off emulating systems like PS3, PS2, DreamCast, N64, Switch (not necessarily a handheld) etc. Reasons for Vita: Ergonomically suitable for travel - ✅ Budget friendly - ✅ And access to hundreds of Vita and backwards compatible PSP titles.
do you happen to be able to copy the content on that card and then paste it in my gmail bc i really have no idea how to make mine have games or be modded at all
Insterestinf story, the day the ps vita came out my aunt and I went to the dentist for medical attention in my teeth. I had a tooth ach and it was killing me. The dentist said "hey you better floss my boy or things sre gonna get roughh" Fast forward to today, my dentist is now passed and I have cavities
Both of my models are Oled. Yes the Oled version screen is superior, but at this point in time it probably isn't worth chasing one down for an upgrade. Oled on handheld devices are far superior now. Your Vita screen will probably last longer and you have a more convenient charging port. You can't go wrong with either device.
Oled has the better screen. I'd recommend that one. However if you're paranoid about burn in then the LCD model is just fine too. There's not much in it, to be honest. You can't go wrong for either system. I personally prefer the OLED screen.
I'd say 1k edges it due to the screen, but the 2k is nice too. Can't go wrong with either. 2k screen will probably last longer as the 1k OLED will start getting burn in.
Honestly, just get a steam deck. I bought my vita around 2 years ago because everyone claimed how good it was after hacking it but it's just a terrible system overal. Even PS1 compatibility is worse than the PSP's for some reason
I have gotten those with 1 game and the custom themes app but nothing else. My vita still works perfectly fine otherwise though. Does it happen less often on the other vita version?
Hi thabks Cam you get this wbs this bsckjefferson cou t poluce droartment its my PS3 i can replace my lode wirh tgem i adked fir this abd tgse too only im ps3
For sitting at home and relaxing I love my Steam Deck, but if I'm on my travels I love the fact the Vita is so small and portable if that makes sense. :) Thanks for watching.
@furkanaytan personally I don't like to dedicate too much vacation time away from home to gaming so short bursts on the Vita is still ideal for me. However, theoretically if I was on a business trip, staying alone in a hotel for a while, then a Steam Deck with a Dock would be my ideal pick.
