@@eclecticreader961 I’m around “Jessica’s” age and this first aired in December of 1990 on one of the network stations (ABC, NBC, or CBS). It was a made-for -TV movie and I was doing my homework while watching it. God, that makes me feel old!
I watched this movie every Christmas when I was a child. My aunt recorded it off the TV and we would have fun watching this every year. It was also cool each year seeing the old commercials. About to hit play and relive my childhood (minus the commercials).
I like seeing comments on here and knowing Im not the only one who came on to youtube and searched a "mom for christmas" because I remember it being one of my fav christmas movies from when I was younger :)
Thank you for uploading this! I've been looking for it as a gift for my mom for ages, but the DVD is way too expensive. It's so nice to be able to watch it again.
i member when me my sis cousin and aunt saw this for the 1st time, i thought it was incredible, seeing statues come to life love this movie, Olivia is so gorgeous i love her
This movie always reminds me of what department store shopping was like when I was a kid. It is so sad that malls and department stores don't have the same iconography like they once did.
If there was a way to reverse in time without it affecting my present age and mental state, I would go back to 1990 so I can experience firsthand all of the computer technologies, when they were "fresh off the manufacturing belt". This way, my love of retro computer software would be relatable among people, rather than going through the disappointment of present time online "discussions" when all of these "diehard" retro technology proclaimed enthusiasts have no interest in having a conversation about something as former desktop computer operating systems (MS-DOS 6.0, Windows 3.1).
Filmed at the Downtown Cincinnati Lazarus store. My mother and sister both worked there for years. Loved that store. It's gone now so it was nice to see parts of it again all these years later.
I want to say... thank you! thank you! thank you! thank you! thank you! thank you! AND thank you! for uploading this movie, I used to watch it all the time as a little girl :D and absolutely love this movie
HELL YEAH! I haven't seen this movie in forever! oh my god! and, it had just donned on me to look for it on here on youtube since I couldn't find it to download around online. Thank you so much. kudos for you for having put it up! Thank you. Now I can watch it! I'mma try and look for "The Mommy Market" on here too. I remember watching that one around the same time I saw "A Mom For Christmas" =)
WOW! Hello my elementary school memory lane! Thank you for uploading this. I am almost teary eyed right now. I swear to you my sister and I was a few minutes ago trying to remember the name of this movie. It came to us finally and wondered if it was on RU-vid, and yes it is:D
I'm only paused now just over 7 minutes in, but the way the girl's talking to Philomena about her wish for a mom... why do I get the feeling I'm watching a new wrinkle on the mid-1980's *Mannequin* flick...?
@savaniex3 I am so sorry sweetheart. I lost my Mom when I was 27 at Christmastime. She and I used to watch this movie together every Christmas. I still miss her, but It will get better : )
@latinflavor081 agreed which is why i wish i could go back and relive my childhood in that time movies (some) are just getting worse over time these days
