this is kind of crazy, I’ve seen snakes move around even with their head cut off but one bite totally immobilized this deadly snake. Respect to mongoose
As a kid of about 14 yrs old, I had a pet mongoose, which brought me endless pleaure. It slept in bed with me at night, nibbling my toes gently until my feet moved into a position where he could snuggle in. I fed him anything from porridge to meat. They attach to only one person, and - being very protective - are inclined to bite anyone else who touches their 'master'! They are also very clever and he used to run about three street blocks, and wait in a storm water pipe for me to come out of school. When he saw me, he would come running to me, and I would pick him up, place him in my book bag and carry him home. Extremely loyal and loving. The very best pet and friend I ever had! The privilege and joy of growing up in Africa!

Doesn't matter if Mongoose is immune from Venom or Not, He Didn't took 1 single bite and kept dodging the snake like "The Matrix Speed" . He killed the Opponent with his pure combat ability without relying on his special immune system.

@bonsai barry very true, I also learned the Inland Taipan (most venomous) is a shy personality snake (runaway) when encounter humans or dangerous foes, however, the black mamba (2nd most venomous) is a ferocious snake fighter personality in which behaves like an engaging warrior when meeting us humans or danger like this mongoose

If mongooses evolved to be immune to the venom, that means the mongoose ancestors were fighting venous snakes long before becoming immune...and winning.
@@picitnew Yes, that's how evolution works. The ones who didn't get bit, and the ones that got bit and survived, would have more babies. The faster, the more vigilant, and the more resistant to venom would have more descendants.
@@TheFirstManticore But that does not mean they fought snakes before becoming immune. The way Wesley wrote it was that it elvolved "because" it fought snakes. That it not necessary true. The mongoose could just as well had the "correct" changes in it's genom before it fought any snakes. In hindseight I should written my comment a bit different and I see my mistake :)

Mamba's venom breaks many animals immunity though. I've seen bigcats and other large animals survive cobra bite but mambas venom is something else. Idk if mongoose is immune to mamba venom, but mambas are the fastest snake and they keep striking.
When my mother was very young, her family found an abandoned baby mongoose - they raised it as a pet and kept in the garden - it killed a few snakes during its time
Probably it grew up to see you and your mother as it's own tribe, and your home as it's own territory. Indeed, I find it quite lucky to live with an animal with about one 1/4th cubic inch brain, which is MORE faithful than so much billions of Humans with a 500 TIMES bigger brain xd.

@@adnanciubotaru8378 except it has nothing to do with Karma, the snake is born with this venom and doesn't have the consciousness to not use it & be good and only eat dead animals. Karma only applies when someone does good or bad things with a conscience, and not by nature.

Nah, more like: Black mamba: burst damage, poison Mongoose: poison immunity, evasion, counterattack It's more about their abilities than base stats overall (other than the black mamba having so little HP).
@@peacefulquasar Depends on the amounts of bites the mongoose has a certain amount of resistance to the venom if the snakes bites it like 7 times it's a wrap it's not totally immune to it just has a really high tolerance

***** honey badgers can survive a hit from a machete, plus their skin is almost impervious to arrows and spears. they can also survive a male lions full bite force beacuse their skin is loose and lions can't get a grip. magoose has no chance of winning if you add the size difference. honey badgers are 5-10 kg heavier.

If i had a dollar for every time Ive heard the phrases, "the most lethal killer, the most venomous, two of the most deadliest creatures on this planet". And so on concerning many different types of snakes, wild animals and other living things, I would have $1000 dollars would be nice to have a official records instead of documentaries always claiming those titles.

My neighbor lived in Africa as a young man and was bitten by a black mamba. He said he was saved by potassium permagnate which was used as an antidote. The most painful part was cutting into the bite and putting the crystals in, but he lived to talk about it.

their reflexes are instantaneous. Even if the snake strikes first it doesn't matter they are just too quick. and snakes do not have much lung capacity so they tire quickly because they lack any semblance of stamina. result.. mr snake has virtually no chance of survival. and finally even a black Mamba as fast as they can cover ground is no match compared to a mongoose or honey badger.
I never knew that the mongoose is such a small but bol and brave animal that can dispose of a highly poisonous snake such as the black mamba with such lightning speed, agility, and accuracy. Throughout the whole encounter, the mongoose is not one bit afraid of the black mamba. It is just amazing to watch this.

By training themselves to more readily put each of their mind towards spending more time in studying the important role each magnificent Animal plays in the Ecology/Ecosystem.Than each of their entire perspective would be drastically shifted. By carefully learning the hidden to the naked eye roles the Mongoose and The Mamba play in Nature. The important roles of all Animals period.Than people gain a much greater respect for both!!! The prior perceptional need to get caught up in which one won and which one loss/lost. Than naturally diminishes. Not to forget to mention: Such posts that say: "No such thing as lost or not, it doesn't matter." That way of thinking also begins to diminish. Yes, everything really matters! Especially after one is no longer blind. By learning to see reality in a much more meaningful way. Though Animals in Nature are going to naturally do what they do. It doesn't excuse humans from more deeper learning the animals roles on this Earth beyond just looking at them fighting each other. P.S. But this truth is oftentimes not even an interest for Many.
