Hi guys. Very good of you to put up a video showing prices of stuff in KL. Just for everybody's info, groceries are definitely more expensive if you go to supermarkets like mercato. For cheaper prices of the same items, try to go to aeon and lotus. For popular big malls, aeon is located in Midvalley megamall and 1 utama, while lotus (which took over tesco) is at the curve mutiara damansara. You can shop here for items you need to buy less frequently like soap, shampoo, detergents, cereals, cookies etc. Maybe for fresh food like meat and poultry you can stick to the more expensive supermarkets like village grocer, or the food merchant inside pavilion bukit jalil

Glad you guys are having a good time in KL and Malaysia .. Funny but I'm in Antalya !! They miss you both . Lots of Russians here , tons but prices for us Americanos is very affordable . KL is expensive for Asia and between the immigration hassles , prices and the like there are better choices ! Glad you are both doing well . Tomorrow I'm over to Alanya with friends .. Have a great time in Asia .. By the way I had a nice pizza at my Avion Hotel and it was only $6 and delicious ... Love the people here ....

Great video again, well explained, balanced views and in my opinion you are spot on: You get what you pay for. You can get almost any luxury you wish for, but it means you pay for it. You can eat cheap at the hawker centers and food courts, but you can also go fine dining and pay 3500 ringgit for a romantic dinner at one of the top restaurants in town. But as always, expensive doesn't always mean it ia good and cheap neither means it is good. You need to know where you go. As for shopping at the grocers: You could get fresh vegetables and meat and seafood at the wet markets, they are very affordable. Groceries are ranged form local low cost like TMC, to more luxury and variety at Cold Storage, Village Grocer, BIG, Mercato and if you really have a need for exclusive Japanese Wagyu, go to Isetan. I am actually looking forward to your video on your apartment, as you mentioned you would review your apartment in a new video?

Enjoying your videos. Latte is cheaper in Bangkok? I will find out soon. I plan to visit K.L. next month for 5 days, mainly to research where to rent a condo, and of course try the coffee! I’m now living in Jomtien, 2 hours from Bangkok, but never get cafe latte. So maybe you are right, that a Latte is cheaper in Bangkok. Of course if all I want is cheap coffee, I would go to Indonesia (which I do often).

i don't understand if you rented a 900$ condominium then why you have to eat food outside.. your condominium is fully furnished so all you need to do is buy groceries and cook at home that will save you almost 70% of the cost which you are spending on eating outside and my experience says that the restaurants you think are hygienic are actually not so hygienic as they look so the best option is to cook at home its the most hygienic and cheapest way to eat and its healthy too

Jaya grocer, village grocer are for Upper income or expats.

As for the best pizzas in KL, definitely Nero nero in Damansara DC Mall (bit out in the area of Bangsar and Damansara Heights), delicious authentic Italian pizzas for 35-60 Ringgit. Another great place in a nice Chowkit area is Osteria Gamberoni, owned and managed by two Italians from Rome, Simona the manager and Giuseppe the chef, fabulous Italian food and pizzas for the same price as Nero nero. Japanese food is only best in Japan. If you see Japanese people eating at a restaurant outside of Japan, it means that restaurant is pretty close to Japanese rice standard (not the same but good enough).///Thailand's fruits are incredible. So many varieties everyday & big harvest, fresh & delicious at the supermarket (although the prices are not cheap but ok for the quality). The Thai Avocado has a huge size version, besides the normal size. The Dragon fruit is huge (white & red flesh). The sweetest & juiciest Star fruit. There are at least 3 types of pineapples, at least 2 types of papayas, at least 4 types of bananas. They import huge grapes & apples & white strawberries from Japan. I don't think I can go back to Turkey which has so little to eat./// The Malaysian supermarket in your video... prices are same as (or similar to) Singapore, expensive.
