I just love listening to him, my admiration and love with respect for this mans heart is simply hard to put into words. He serves and truly worships Allah swt and his adoration and love and devotion to the Prophet saw pbuh is unequaled, its truly mind blowing. I'd seriously love to leave the UK and go and study and learn under his Organization then go around the world help teach what I've learned but sadly, my lack of Academic ability hinders all of my wishes. I love how he talks about the risks of Anal sex, genital wort's and diseases which hardly anyone wishes to discuss because of embarrassment, he goes beyond boundaries that some of you would never go to simply to try and encourage our young generation to stop these foolish acts and not to endanger their own lives. ***** Salaam! :) no of course not :D the prophet pbuh was known for his smile, the sahabah always use to wrestle for fun, write poetry, laugh about the days of the jaahiliyah. the Quran mentions in various points that the beauty of this world was created for enjoyment- however you enjoy it in a way that pleases Allah :) e.g. go out to a park with family- enjoying their company is worship, enjoying allahs creation is worship, reflecting on allahs creation is worship, relaxing your mind and body is worship, eating and energizing your body is worship. Allah is merciful, and Islam is a mercy. Enjoy it :)

Read "The Swerve" so that you can begin to understand how a single book written by a single Epicurean (Lucretius' De Rerum Natura) is credited with lifting Europe from the Dark Ages. Also, another Epicurean, a woman (Frances Wright) converted Thomas Jefferson to Epicureanism, which led to his writing Epicurean ideas into the Declaration of Independence of the US ... she also inspired Susan B Anthony during the suffrage and was an abolitionist who began to create the infrastructure to liberate blacks. Epicureans have ALWAYS been ahead of their generation in every way. We can't say the same for Muhammad and his religion which is anything but progressive.
You're american and your Islam is incidental? wow You are basically contradicting yourself by saying the prophet SAW said there is no racism or sexism, I believe he talked about secularism also, instead we should look at ourselves as brothers and sisters in Islam first and then your brothers in humanity, nationality is at the bottom of the totem pole, but you emphasized that..oh well.
Haja Lameh Perhaps only american converts to Islam can really hear Sheikh Hamzah. He is doing what Allah has allowed him to do. If his talks do not work for you, then there are many other muslim leaders that may have words for your ears. I appreciate his perspectives as I too am an american convert. We have a different need than those born into a muslim family. I suggest that if you have nothing good to say, then maybe it is best for you to say nothing at all. He is shining light on many topics that are necessary for all but especially american converts.
