Hugo Jacomet ..... I stumbled across the Sartorial Talks, “What Is A Gentleman”, video and then proceeded to watch more. This particular video touched me so profoundly! I own a Men’s Boutique in NC, USA. It is very much just a ready to wear shop that caters to the demographic I am surrounded by. Because this demographic exists and dictates how and what type of goods I must carry to provide a successful living, I have accepted it for what it is. I have realized as of late, the only saving grace is that I too am “ready to wear” by putting on the suffering of our Savior! I thank Him daily for His ultimate sacrifice. I think my epiphany concerning Jesus came when I realized, through scripture, that He was born a man, but a man with two natures. One of humanity and one of divinity. The humanity suffered on the cross, the divinity did not and could not, for He was God. Thank You Hugo for reminding me of the healing and completing power of humility, the emptying of ones’ self so that Jesus might fill the void that is left. Interestingly enough "You are God" or "I am God" is a very Buddhist way of thinking. This is defiantly not in the Western tradition (mostly). However, I completely agree with this view point. We should not strive to mimic Jesus, instead we should be Jesus.
