About halfway through the video, the sound gets wonky. I apologize for the weirdness - that's the thing about a video's sound; we don't know there is an issue until we are editing & it is too late to fully fix it 🤦🏻♀
We had a large oak tree go down during a hurricane a few years ago. When my husband started cutting it up, he noticed there was a hole running through the middle of it. He cut up several hefty chunks, filled the holes with potting soil and planted large hanging baskets of light pink portulaca in the holes. They are thriving and absolutely beautiful! We have been using the hanging basket trick for a few years.
The solar lights look like they were made for your trellises! A perfect addition. Thank you for sharing all the sweet items you added today. Your love for your garden is so evident
Really like the wind chime. Funny story, I had my chime in a tree and the squirrels didn’t like the sound so they chewed the strings so they were on the ground. I respected their lack of appreciation and didn’t replace it.
Love these types of videos. It’s real life when one works full time during the week and you only have 1-2 days to get projects in the garden done. Love, love the wind chime in the woods concept!
Love all of the enhancements to the garden (lighting, chimes, birdhouses, etc.)! I have 2 of those chimes on my property. Beautiful pleasant sound! The birdhouses are just perfect on the fence.
We came to your nursery this morning and bought some shrubs and some of those gorgeous succulents. Missed seeing you, but Jerry and CC took good care of us.
I love those copper capped birdhouse’s…..copper is my jam! I also love the lighting over the clematis….I was shocked at how great the lighting looked in the evening…so beautiful 🪺🪶🪹🐦❤️🌳
You got a lot done. That berm is looking so fantastic! I have my second brood of bluebirds about getting ready to leave the nest. Options are always great. They nested the first time in the old birdhouse. I bought a new one because something chewed the opening too big. They must love it though because they started to go in even though it was on the deck waiting for a repair. Sure enough, they went right to town when it was fixed and hung back up, ignoring the new one. But then, the second time they chose the new house. I guess they were ready for an upgrade! I just love watching them!
I enjoy your videos so much. Love the hack about planting the flowers from a hanging basket into a planter! Your gardens are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing! ❤️
oh if you get a pair of bluebirds, they will guard the entire fence post including the other houses. After each batch of babies fledge, they will try to nest in the other homes. It's awesome to see them in action though.
Loved spending your morning with you. Looks amazing. Love the hack for hanging baskets I will need to try this. Its night time and winter in Australia but lovely to get inspiration for when it warms up here in a few months. ❤
Loving the gardenias and the chimes. I have some on our patio, they are deep sounding too. But being in OK, Hubs has to take them down so they don't get beat to death😊 every so often😮😊
Great video i have done that taken hanging plants and put them into containers! All your gardens are beautiful! The solar lights make everything look magical!
Thank you jenny you have great taste! flowers are beautiful ,lights, bird houses, selections are pretty chime color/sound love the hack i need to do that!!🌞 and all the info u share 👋👋👋🌳
I got my hose link floodlight, and I’m delighted with it! I wanted to light my address plate that is on a stone wall. It comes on perfectly, and I adjusted the color of light to warmer, to match my porch lights. Thanks for featuring this brand.
Jenny, if only you could have seen my face at 6:21 when you said "Pillow Talk" ...my jaw hit the floor because I've been talking to my family about finding/watching that movie (w/Doris Day)!! I haven't seen it in years, but I'm certainly going to rent or buy it this weekend. 😉 Can't wait to see how this gardenia performs in our zone because I would buy it solely for the name. ❤️🌱
Absolutely love your wind chimes Jenny they remind me of the ones my husband and I got at Edisto Beach. If i remember correctly we got one in the tone of D and one in G . Always good to check off your list. Everything looks amazing 🤗💞💕💓
I love gardenias. I have a small urban lot, zone 10a, and have three gardenia shrubs that are 18 years old. They have been blooming for 2 months and still growing strong. The scent is just heavenly! I just planted another one 2 weeks ago. Btw, is it me, or has Jackson grown another 3 inches! Yikes! Of course he needs new shoes!😅
You are setting yourself up for heartache. The last place a birdhouse should be, no matter how cute, is on a fence post. You are making it so easy for snakes. I learned the hard way...no to fence posts and no on trees. Love your videos.
Gardenia is my absolute favorite plant, but I’m not a Southerner, I’m Mediterranean, so it takes all to make them happy, plus they have to be in the shade, otherwise they burn in a couple of days. Funny how different a plant can behave.
Hi Jenny, does artificial lightning affect the growth of outdoor plants especially when they are on when it’s supposed to be dark outside? Do plants need a certain amount of light and dark in order to flourish? Your gardens are absolutely spectacular! 🌸❤️🇨🇦
Jenny, your gardens are beautiful. How do you keep the Japanese beetles from ruining your roses? You have too many to go on a search with a bucket of soapy water every morning. What’s your secret?
...I don’t know - I watch your videos all the time - but I just LOVED this one! Your habitat is just perfect for bluebirds, with the wide open lawn and the tree line on either side. Everything looks glorious! I am amazed how everything has grown in such a short time! 🤗🙌🐦👩🏼🌾💚 =^..^=
My german shepard walks over my new purchased flowers and breaks them. One day she broke a zinnia I just bought because she was happy wagging her tail to my husband coming home. If she misses a plant, my chickens surely don't, scratching out their roots and breaking the flowers. Guess I need lots of fencing lol.
35:24 Good morning, Jenny ☕️ The hedge of Day Lilies is stunning! Do you ever need to thin them out or, do you just let them go for it? I love the planting trick for the hanging basket 🙌🏻brilliant! Definitely going to check out the wind chimes! Have a Blessed Day 😊🐶
My gardenias are cuttings from a neighbor. I've had them pots inside for 3 years. They bloomed fantastically this year but they get bugs, which I think are aphids. I've been spraying them off with water. This spring I let them hang out full time on a patio table that only gets morning sun. I'm Georgia zone 7b & not sure what to do with them after this summer. 🤔🤷♀️
Do you have racoon on your property? They can climb up the post to get the baby birds. Our birdhouse (nailed on a post in our patio) was damaged by a racoon, and the baby birds were all gone overnight! The poor mama bird stayed around for a few days before abandoning her nest.
Hi Jenny, I have a question so you say that to the incredible high dangerous or full sun do you think that if I were to purchase one and put it here in my zone which is zone 9B Texas you think it would do as well as yours? last year I purchased so many of them. I don’t know the kind they were pink and purple and blue. They did not last at all not even a month they died on me very quickly, so this time around I want to make sure that if I buy one of these kind of plants, it won’t die on me.happy gardening👨🌾👨🌾
Hydrangeas are usually shade plants, they can take full sun in cold zones but Texas, I think not. Incrediballs also need a lot of water, they have big leafs like the macrophyllas that died on you, so lots of surface for evaporation. If you want to grow hydrangeas in zone 9 (keep in mind they're marketed as zone 3-8), I would go with as much shade as possible.
Interesting how you place birdhouses on fence. I was under the impression you should place at least 5 feet above ground. Maybe your's are that high, and the camera just fails to show that. Enjoy !
