Did you see the spectacular display of aurora on Friday night and Saturday morning?
The UK was treated to a stunning display of the Northern Lights on Friday & into Saturday morning as massive solar storm slammed into the earth's magnetic field, creating a powerful aurora that was more easily visible in UK than it was in Iceland or Norway. More storms are forecast for the rest of the weekend, so get out and look up tonight and tomorrow if you'd like a chance to see something.

This is brilliant Stephen. I live in Alberta Canada and we're blessed to see the lady dance quite often. My children and grandchildren live there, Cornwall area so I'm very happy that you got to see the wonderful lights. I love your video!

Thanks Tammy. Magnetic north is in Canada, so you are very lucky to see the lights regularly. I bet they could see them down in Cornwall during this display.

every time i see an aurora alert it turns out to be nothing, and being down south we dont expect it, so gutted i didnt take the alert seriously this time as it was all over us, so thanks for sharing

One hell of a display wasn't it mate? So glad I had the heads up from Absolute Radio of all places and picked a spot to go to. Never thought I'd get a full arc panorama facing south in the UK! I'm still buzzing now from it!

Saw it for the first time in my life last night, what an experience, right outside the flat too! If it's on again tonight I'm going to head somewhere darker like the park after dark and hopefully get a more prominent display. that said my phone did get a couple of decent shots! AWSEOME!

Totally amazing! This is being caused by the Perturber (AKA Planet X/Nemesis) and the comet Pons-Brooks. The portion of Tiamat is getting ever nearer (1983-TB) AKA 3200 Phaethon. Our sun is being poked at and is now poking back!

Wasn't it amazing! We were on a short break in Yorks Dales nr Skipton, I dragged Mrs B out into a field at 10.30 and she was about to go back to the campsite when it started to kick off big style, didn't know where to look!
