I Welcome all who are listening to this prayer.
Kindly join me as I begin to say a special prayer.
A Mother's Prayer for Her Dear Son.
Gracious and loving Father,
You Have granted me many gifts,
many blessings in my life.
I am truly grateful and thankful to you
for each of your precious blessings.
One of the greatest gift you have given me
is the gift of my dear son.
Thank you for his life dear Lord.
Thank you for giving him to me
and for the privilege of being his parent.
Dear Loving Lord, when he was just a baby
I held him in my arms
as you hold me tenderly in yours.
I want to place my son in your loving hands today.
I surrender him over to you.
As I am your child, so is he.
Please keep him safe, Lord Jesus,
may your protective hand be upon him at all times.
Protect him from any physical danger,
emotional harm and spiritual attacks.
Keep him healthy in mind, body and spirit.
Take away any sickness or illnesses
that may threaten him.
Put your angels around him
so that he is always sheltered in your care.
Help him to be honest, kind,
generous and selfless, Lord Jesus.
Make him trustworthy and resilient.
Help him to work hard
and be a responsible person.
Give him the ability to see
the best in people and circumstances.
Help him to be compassionate and caring to those in need.
Help him make wise choices in life.
Help him to pursue what is good
and may his actions be as per your will and command.
Surround him with good people, Lord Jesus,
friends who encourage him, understand him
and have a positive influence on him.
Bless him with wisdom to understand
and stay away from people who tear down his self worth
or cause him to make poor choices.
Lord Jesus, I know that my son will make some mistakes
and will have struggles in his life.
This is a part of life
and a part of what will prepare him
to become strong to face the future.
I ask you that You be there with him
through these trials and struggles
and help him with your grace and faith
to endure any hardship.
May he know and feel your presence in everything he does.
Fill his heart with an overwhelming love for you
so that You are the only one he needs to please.
Give my son the strength to resist the devil.
Help him resist all temptations,
let him hold firm to his faith and follow You, Lord Jesus,
Help him to choose right from wrong.
Almighty Father, as my son walks through his days,
I pray that You would give him clear direction in doing Your will,
so that he may remain within Your protection, love and guidance.
Thank You Lord Jesus.
Praise You Lord Jesus.
I make this prayer through Christ our Lord. AMEN.
