I own a few homburgs, and they are some of my favorite hats to wear. I love wearing a homburg whenever I'm at work. It really elevates my appearance and makes me feel classy, especially at my job.

This hat is right below the top hat in formality, so it could be worn with a stroller or to a black tie event. Obviously you could also wear it outside of those occasions, but that's where the hat would be most at home.

I ALWAYS thought Michael in 'The Godfather' truly became The Man, after he returned from his exile in Italy, stepped out of that limo, and we see him in that monochromatic suit, black top coat and that exquisite black Homburg. Kay didn't stand a chance... 😆 There's a certain gravitas a man must acquire in life before he can earn the right to wear the Homburg.
Yes he did have on his homburg. So did Enzo, the baker(the one who stood guard with Michael at the hospital). That style homburg is hard to find. The brim has no curve in it. I've been looking for that style.
First homburg I purchased was 34 years ago. I was 19 and wore it every time I wore my suit and tie with my charcoal gray wool overcoat. I love this style hat so much I recently bought a brown Biltmore homburg last year to match my brown cashmere coat. An elegant hat indeed, Brother.
