A Mutt In A Rut UNCUT 

Originally released as a Paramount Noveltoon in May 1949. Sid Raymond is "Dog Face"; Jackson Beck is the "Heavenly Irish Motorcycle Cop" and "St. Bernard". Bernard's declaration at 4:24 was swiped directly from the famous opening of radio's "MR. DISTRICT ATTORNEY" {"And it shall be my duty, as District Attorney, to prosecute to the limit of the law...."}.

And when the cat later got sick from eating food that was too rich, the dog learned via a guardian angel that he would STILL be going to hell if the cat didn't get better!

Well, the thing is that 1949 Famous is going to much much more violent and sociopathic than 1935 Disney. The infernal imagery is much darker in Disney's, but there's something equally disturbing about Dogface getting the s**t knocked out of him in hell (plus assorted cruelty like the ice cream truck bit).

Just like the Tom and Jerry cartoon "Heavenly Puss" which scared me.

Nothing UNCUT about this cartoon.

That was a little bit disturbing! Nice ending, though.

This cartoon was made after "A Self-Made Mongrel" back in 1945.

No offense inappropriately nasty snide remarks, but Dog Face will be truly eating Little Audrey's 💩 for a week or 2, or 3 as punishment for mistreating the poor kitten moments (1:07-1;13, 1:26-1;34, & 1:51-1;56) 3 times.
