I'm finding Nalaa builds to be the most fun. If nagas are in then she's insane. But you get so much versatility. Is my mech a cleave or spell generator. Do I want bramblewitch of felboar. Unlike some builds, it feels like you always have impactful decisions to make.

I'm a bit new to battlegrounds and I need some help understanding something. Why does dogdog do this thing where he buys Freedealing Gambler (the guy who sells for 3 gold) and then just sells it immediately? Like is it not just a waste of time? He's just spending 3 gold and then gaining it back. It would make sense to me if he had some pirates that get buffed off the gold gain or whatever but he does it no matter the board state/situation (even when he's roping). I've seen him do similar things like in this video where he buys Shell Collector with Brann on board. I get that it's double the battlecry but he's just getting 2 coins + the gold from selling the Shell Collector. Ofc this changes when he gets golden Brann then it's +1 profit but before he gets gold Brann why bother? Is he just training his APM lol? Please somebody explain because I've seen at least 3 content creators that do it now and I really want to know why.

It's muscle memory. In situations where you need to play cards fast, you make a habit out of playing 0 cost cards. For tethys etc reasons etc you are practiced to do it. You'll see a lot of players do it over again, say it's a waste of time, then do it again a minute later. It's a mistake when you're running out of time rather than value, but overthinking slows you down too

It's a good habit, there's always a chance you can later roll into the battlecry pirate that gives HP for gold spent, or for shell collector there are the cards that gain stats for spells cast during the game

There is a pirate that gives health for gold spent, there is also a "buddy" which gives a minion +stats for each pirate you've played throughout the game(not in the game right now). It's a good habit, if you have enough time to do it, because it technically can benefit you. And yeah, it does train your APM as well.

@@v4enthusiast541 Shell collector doesn't give you the "tavern spell" version of coins so it doesn't buff the spell minion that gains +1/+1 for tavern spells played. Is there another one you were thinking of?

I mean, if you compare everything that happened on screen during the classic APM pirate games to what almost every build is now, it’s completely different. There are so many extra actions that have to be taken, value cards that are gained, I can totally see how it would get dizzying.

what a weird comment passive-aggressive comment lol. APM pirates was literally brain-dead easy to play, you just buy-sell every pirate you see. dogdog isn't some giga-genius at battlegrounds, he gets dizzy just like you and me.

The game animations are much slower, especially with spells in. With APM pirates, you just cycle pirate minions. Brainlessly. Here there are a lot of spells popping off, your hand suddenly gets full, and A LOT more thinking is required, while still keeping speed.

Every patch is made to make mobile play better.. more animation and more stuf to buy sell.. you fail on pc to spend your turn many times.. just delete the mobile version if you fon't care about it.. jeez
