That no mother has a health issue that makes pregnancy dangerous. No mother has a dangerous lifestyle that she may or may not be able to control at the time of the pregnancy. That no mother may be in a very bad place at the time of pregnancy and that by ending the pregnancy, she then may be able to get out of that place. #8-The ignorance of many in the pro-life movement about adoption and fostering. In the US it is a broken system in all 50 states, with children that are never adopted and leave the system at age 18 unprepared for adult life. They also do not understand that unless you give birth to a perfect, cute little white baby, your child may never be adopted and foster care may be hit and miss. The experience of a newborn having bonding with a loving parent will not happen. Now add an additional 10K births per year, which has happened in Texas, and there is no way the system will be able to properly provide for all of them if they are given up at birth. #9-That the same pro-lifers who want to control the lives of others, are the same ones who don’t want anyone controlling their lives. #10-The same pro-lifers are also working towards controlling birth control options so women will have even more unwanted pregnancies. The same pro-lifers do not want sensible easy access to birth control options. They do not want truthful comprehensive sex education taught to their children despite it is rarely ever taught in the home. They are against all the ways that unwanted pregnancies can be avoided to start with so the need for abortion becomes less of an issue.

Thanks to cloning, we can take one of your cells and grow it into a baby. Just like a fertilized egg, that cell has the potential to become a baby. That cell is not a baby, and neither is the fertilized egg.

I agree, it’s just a shame that it’s kind of implicitly being used as leverage against women who just don’t want to be mothers. Other than that, yeah embryonic development is a really cool topic to read about

How can something count as being alive if it can't live on it's own and depend on someone else resources? Also unless you're giving birth and it concerns your kid, your opinion dosen't matter

@@qianaroyal1096 Do you know what "organisms" mean? They mean "living entities". That's what humans are right from the moment of fertilization. And the scientific criteria for what's alive and what's not, includes growth, development, reaction to stimuli, metabolism, coordination, homeostasis, etc. It's not "oh this can live on its own and is not dependent on another organism for survival." Also, "if it's not your kid, I can kill it" in not great logic. And pro-life women exist but y'all still call them misogynists for being pro-life.

@@qianaroyal1096 that’s a good question. Newborns are alive and yet they can’t survive on their own without someone else’s resources or help. They are quite literally helpless. Many many preterm infants wouldn’t be able to survive on their own without the medical community’s resources to help them survive and yet we also consider them alive. They wouldn’t be able to breathe, continue to grow, etc. yet, they are “alive”. When I felt my baby in my body for the first time at only 12 weeks. I knew he was alive. All things to think about. Keep asking questions they will bring you to the truth 🙏❤️

@@Thedesertcouple ok now your willfully misunderstanding my points. The POINT was that the baby can PHYSICALLY breathe and live ( and medical assistance can keep it alive without the mother needed). A FETUS ejected from the body at a young age CANT live no matter WHAT YOU or a DOCTOR can do to help it on the outside, it'll bleed from it's skin. So no, if it can't survive in it's own and relies on another persons body/nutrients it's like taking care of a parasite objectively( if u don't want the fetus)

Except the video lied when it said the fetus heartbeat can be detected at 3weeks and 1 day. The initial heartbeat occurs between 5 1/2 & 6 wks gestation. You can barely see the gestational sac on transvaginal ultrasound at 3wks because it's really tiny, let alone the yolks sac or fetal pole. If you can't see the fetal pole at 3wks how are you going to detect cardiac activity? The answer is you can't, I know because I'm an ultrasound tech and I scan 1st trimester pregnancies several times throughout my workday.

@brandywine They are talking about since conception- the first two weeks or so of the mothers 40 weeks, she’s not actually pregnant. So 3 weeks from conception =5 weeks gestation.
